  1. Ahhh yes the non-existent paint code so many of us crave haha. Painter did mine by eye, using Lexus IS Silver with a black base coat. The Lexus IS Silver also apparently does not have a paint code... secret 😉
  2. My bet still stands, albeit an optimistic one 🤣
  3. I am yet to really find a kit that I like all pieces, the rear seems to be the toughest to please for me, all just look a bit 'stick on' regardless of price. Someone needs to get involved with said tubes and sticky back plastic and make one that replaces the whole rear gloss black portion (that does actually comes off) from scratch. Time for cardboard and expanding foam... 😂
  4. @mr2lad yeahhhh the price sorta reflected that for me, sounds like faff I don't have time for. Thanks for the heads up though 😄
  5. Didn't even realise they did GS stuff as well, shall have a proper nose about 😛
  6. I have the GB40 because of the variety of cars we have, so needed to cover all bases. Somewhat ironically have only had to use on a friends and neighbours car so far 😂, would say they are every bit worth it. Also take it hiking in Scotland as a 'just in case'.
  7. 5 up for sale, sign of the apocalypse! 🤣
  8. @BillNick to upgrade to a GS F? 😉
  9. The F will be around longer after the BMW has thrown many of its inevitable tantrums 😉 Check what spec the F is in comparison to the M4 and once you've found the F spec, come back to the forum and ask what is standard and what really is an 'option', you'll be surprised what some dealers mark as 'optional extras' that actually came with the car as standard 😛 I agree with Rob re: driving both, two different engines, one might suit your driving style more than the other and you'll have a gut reaction of what you like more. Also further agree about proving its had the major service/ service history. I wanted mine because it wasn't a BMW/ Audi/ Merc, I love having something different, rather than something everyone else drives.
  10. I have a commercial unit about 5mins away and live about 25mins away, might bump into you at some point in your F-car future, or maybe before 😉
  11. Hampshire is the place to be for F-cars! I know of at least 2 IS F's that frequent the North Hants area, unsure if members though. Plenty of members on here to answer questions, there are only a few known issues that I can think off the top of my head, but I'll let those more in the know speak up when the time is right! Very briefly thought of having a Forester as my dog-mobile, but was put off by a few friends who were previous owners and didn't rate them for reliability and ease to work on DIY style, so it was shuffled down the hopeful list. An alloy wheel refurb place I use has one and it looks and sounds (very destinctively like a Scooby) amazing. Happy hunting for your F car 🙂
  12. Get organising then boyzzzz 🤣
  13. GS F owners meet anyone? 🤷‍♂️ All 12 of us... 🤣
  14. Bit disappointed they aren't! 🤣
  15. Of course it would be, can't just be like the rest of us 😛
  16. Welcome! Congrats on a beauty of a beast 😛 I think it's Mercury Grey, maybe another owner can confirm or correct me! Personally think it is worth getting it serviced with Lexus to extend the warranty. Owners seem to like - new exhaust for more V8 goodness, wheel spacers, lowering, lower dust brake pads and maybe some body styling additions. Each to their own taste of course 🙂 You should be able to set the cruise control with the stalk and increase and decrease the speed as well. Depending whether you are in 'normal' or 'radar', it will move in singular increments or bumps of 5mph. If you have the handbook, should give you a simple outline too.
  17. didn't think you could get anything later than a 2013 IS F in the UK? 🤔
  18. Congrats on looking at some lovely cars, but we may be biased 😉 The car market is cooling in general, but for cars that don't move very frequently (F cars included), dealers are possibly going to wait it out and try max their profits. Tim and John's points are both valid and I would echo - decide what you are willing to pay, discuss with the dealer and if they say no, walk away and hold out for another car to pop up. If the cars aren't moving and they have genuine interest from yourself, if you go look at the car, show face rather than a phonecall, might be surprised in what they'd be willing to do for a sale whilst they have you there 🙂
  19. It seems the post itself overall was well received and sparked some interest in future meets, which is superb. As always some negative nancy's - where was my invite... can you do a non F car meet next time... I did explain as clearly as I could that the club itself did not organise, it was a members idea and of course there is nothing stopping other groups organising their own meets... can't please everyone these days! I do like the idea of more 'F meets', as well as an 'All Lexus' meet, can bring the slammed NX... (kidding), but the LS's could see some daylight!
  20. Yes in the other thread 🙂
  21. With permission, I'd like to download the photos and stick across on the LOC facebook group if that's ok with everyone?

  23. Thanks to everyone who attended, more than expected, which is always a delight, good to put some names to usernames and their cars 😛. As previously requested (and has started), could any pics taken be uploaded onto this thread please?!
  24. This is turning out to be quite the adventure, £60k now on autotrader, spin the wheel and where it stops will be next weeks price 🤣
  25. More the merrier! Dirty cars will be turned away 😛 🤣
