Had my Is 250 for about 18 months but was never a fan of the wood interior. Decided a few weeks back to get some test sections of wrap to see what looked ok to me. Went for a 8dm black carbon fibre wrap from an on line company. Did the work today and I'm very happy with the outcome. Had to take all the switches off the back bit it was quite simple just best not to rush it. Know it's not to everyone's taste but I much prefer it to the wood. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

I replaced my side lights some time ago with the LED bulbs but they are the white ones. Halfords also do some as I did the Mrs car with them and they are quite impressive. I also replaced my fog lights with LED bulbs and they are superb and can be used as drls Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Thanks very much fella! I'm sure at some point over the weekend I will give it a go as I had loads of issues with the brakes on my old car so know my way about. I can do the work myself it's no bother. Just wondered if anyone has had the issue and when did it start? Mine just squeak a bit for a very short while as I'm for example reversing off the drive in the morning. After that you hear nothing and I'm getting no binding. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Good afternoon all, Bit of advise from those of you that have suffered from the issues with the rear calipers. When I first move my car I can hear the rear disks / pads squeak a bit for example first thing in the morning or like today when it's been sitting whilst I was at work. The noise soon goes and the car rolls in neutral without any hint of the brakes constantly catching. The noise stops after 30 seconds or so. The economy is not effected. Their clay is very good. Best add a small amount of car shampoo with it as you can't have enough lubricant. Go slow and steady with it and don't rub hard just keep it moving. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Autoglym Super resin polish is ok to use although it's more of a glaze than a polish. Bilt Hamber Polish is absolutely superb and would be my go to. One or two coats of wax over that will last you months. I would advise to clay the car first though Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Unfortunately I'm just the other side of 40 but I'm in the process of getting the right carbon wrap to cover the wood. I have found a high gloss 8dm wrap which looks ok so that will soon be ordered. I didn't want silver or grey interior but went for the best car I could get. Turns out the silver is ok and as I like my detailing I've managed to get a great shine on the car and being silver it hides a lot. Got my 250 SEL about 18 months ago for 7k. Had 32k on the clock with a full Lexus history and had been serviced every 3 to 4 thousand miles. It's also got the sat nav upgrade. It wasn't the colour I really wanted or the interior colour but I went for the best car I could find. It's had a new water pump since I've had it but I will look after the majority of the servicing from now on. Quite easy to work on. Been able to do some work on the body to bring it up to how I wanted it and apart from the water pump it's been lovely. Unfortunately I'm not a fan of the wood interior so will shortly be changing that. I've changed the bulbs in the fog lights to LED's and now use those as driving lights. Super resin is not really a polish it's more of a glaze. It fills imperfections giving the look of correction. Are you using it by hand? If so what were you using to apply it to the car? Also what colour is your car? Removing swirls by hand is difficult but super resin is ok for what it is but will never correct swirl marks. Also you need to seal in the polish after using it or in a week or so the filler part of the polish just drops out. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Thought I'd stick a few more photos up. Some of the for lights that were upgraded to led bulbs so I now use them as Drl' s The headlights I did quite early on as they were starting to yellow. There are multiple posit restorers on the market that will be suitable. Carpro Perl can be used and mixed down to whatever strength you wish. Can be used on mist surfaces and used neat can be used on your tyres. Very economical. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Thank you. I have various products that I use but the ones I would recommend would be from a company called Bilt Hamber. They do a range of items and most are absolutely fantastic and great value. I use their clay bar, shampoo, polish and their double speed wax which is what has been used in the photos. I'm always buying new items to continue to improve the look and protection on the car. Once a car is fully decontaminated and then polished you can then add a couple of coats of wax and it will seal the paintwork for 4 to 6 months. You can then just ensure it's washed correctly and top up the wax every now and then. And I never use these hand car washes. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
