    Must be a hybrid thing as in mine the outside temp is displayed below all the other display cycles range, mpg, average mpg, eco driving indicator ect. I have a small after market digital clock in the middle of where you put on the heated/ventilated seats which also tells me the inside temp. Btw thanks for posting the actual tank range something not often talked about in favour of inflated mpg figures.

    Digital wingmirrors look odd on any car, only the lorry ones look ok.

    My E60 had a water in the passenger foot well problem too it was caused by a blocked drain in the engine bay.

    Of course you car can have all the gizmo's in the world but of its missing just one thing you use its very annoying, the GS3 didn't have triple turn indicators like my BMW that was 3 years older & my GS4 only has one reverse light like a budget motor.

    I used to own a BMW 530i E60 2004 great car to drive & very comfy on 16" rims 🤣 but leaked oil for most of my 6+ years of ownership, I had everything done & it still leaked but the M54 engine was notorious for leaks. I traded it in for the GS3 with a part service history as I don't get the booked stamped & it turned up on eBay with a full BMW service history some months later 🤔 you should never trust those history full service claims.

    I'm not sure if a FWD 4 pot vs a RWD V6 is a "upgrade" but I'd still take this over a floppy SUV's any day, maybe I'm not pan-sexual enough 😆 Great write up covering probably everything, there was a blue F Sport ES parked in the next to where I work & it looked lovely, maybe I could leave 6 cylinder RWD after over 12 years across 3 cars. My GS4 has the outside temp in the dial cluster so maybe you missed it.

    I'm not a SUV fan as they are usually bought for "status" but I do agree with trying new brands as you will never know otherwise.

    I press the reset button under the steering wheel when the cold weather hit its much better on newer Toyota cars my 2007 GS Mk3 the TPMS was a bit of nightmare. I think this was in part to cheaper alloy with more corrosion so leaks around the tyres.

    I will prob just wait until the next meet glad to see its single clutch for long term reliability! maybe I will settle with the 2.0 version in the future as like I'm not ready for a SUV & maybe never will be 😆 but would take a ES over one any day.

    That's pretty good for all that power a friend has a F10 535i & he says its likes a good drink 😉 I really wanted to come to that meet just to see your car more than anything, am I right in thinking it has a double clutch system? something the car industry has moved away from now.

    Finally saw a GSF out on the road in my local area of St Albans yesterday but it was too dark to see it properly but I could see it had a plate ending in GSF with possibly L at the start. Honestly see more LC's around than these.

    I had a flat battery last year after it was sat over xmas whilst visiting family turns out it was a loose negative connection on the battery but I had to use the emergency electric handbrake release in order to move it so it could be jumped which had to be code reset but I had to drive 150 miles with the car beeping at me 😆 My indie was telling me that on some of the newer BMW's the same thing can't just be code reset & requires a whole new part with about 2 hours labour to change it.

    I'm sure I read on here they didn't only on pre not saying it was right. There was a GS450H F Sport on AT last year that was for sale then not then again with big prices drops in between, private seller.

    My GS3 had this at about 70k but my indie didn't think it was that important & said if I could live with the noise don't worry about it 😄

    Glad to see you got this sorted in the end 😎 Maybe this is why the facelift didn't have the rear steering too many claims.

    I think they came with the Mark Levinson sound system but I could be wrong.

    I've got the bigger screen in mine but found there were much less of them when buying the car.

    Glad it all went I have fond memoirs of similar meets when I used to goto a Beamer meet once at month at a local pub which I still call into every so often. Someone else I know went to a meet a few years back & tried a bit of "street drifting" 😆 it didn't end well, still got the vid somewhere.

    Yeah will have to be another time my wife had her night shift changed to a day at last minute and with taking her to work I could only leave late & would have been with my 13 month teething boy so it was a bit of a mission.
