  1. Sorry correction. The ML one has 2 white connector bottom left as you look at it. Although both videos are from American cars. Check yours first I think.
  2. Hi Rayaans. Blimey it's been 1 while since I've seen your name on here lol. It's weird how your radio unit has expired coincidentally when you changed the 12v battery. Before you commit to that unit on ebay if you can take yours out, it's easier than on the is250 btw. The one on ebay on bottom left has only 1 white connector. I've seen 2 videos on YouTube on how to remove the unit, one a ML and the other not. The not has 2 white connectors. Couldn't make out what the ML one had. Check the returns criteria that you can return it if its unsuitable. Best of luck pal.
  3. Really really nice looking car Matthew. Personally speaking I'd dechrome the grill to a satin black. As to what Linas stated about older low mileage cars take that with a pinch of salt. Why? I have a friend whose been a taxi driver for over 30 years. He has taxi driving friends too. So you can imagine just how many stop starts those cars have had. Oh and guess what. No issues what so ever. The friend has only had a few cars in that time each covering over 3.5k miles and each car still rather sweet as a nut. Yes those cars were looked after with regular servicing. So just coz your new car has only 45k miles. Don't worry. Its probably just run in. Before you get the car I recommend you buy 2 bottles of ZX1. 1 bottle treats 2.5 litre engines that's why you'll need 2. When you finally get the car before you drive it home pour the ZX1 into the engine oil. It's the best thing you'll do ever to that car.
  4. Blimey Jeff well done on this thread of yours. Sorry if I've missed something but what was the fix?
  5. What parts are you looking for anyway?
  6. Hi Piers. I'm wondering out of interest how you have a plug in bluetooth device. Am I right to say your older RX300 doesn't have satnav either? Have you considered replacing the head unit in your car for an android unit which I know there are a few available.
  7. Oh so from Japan. From what I've seen the Japanese imported cars the radio buttons are in Japanese. Is that the case with what you're getting? Great looking car tho.
  8. Hi Simon. I'm not sure if your RX300 had Bluetooth. On your steering wheel are there 2 buttons both depicting a telephone with receiver up on one and down on the other. Does your car have satnav?
  9. Nice one Matthew. How come importing one or was colour top of your list and none available here. Tell us more about it and where its coming from. You'll have to tell us about insuring it and if there's any additional cost.
  10. Very well stated Ken. Yes the source of the music dictated eventual sound quality. Personally I only listen to either Spotify where in its settings I have it on best quality and via the BBC stream app I listen to Radio 1 drum and bass show. Also some very well recorded classical music, toccata and fugue in C minor is outstanding. Plus the music in my veins Metal.
  11. Not sure if I've asked you this already but did it plug straight into an empty socket or did you have to use a Y splitter. My Bluetooth adapter works flawlessly. Bass is as ML reproduces it and all other frequencies too.
  12. Hi Chan. I used CRC Maf cleaner for the maf sensor and CRC throttle body cleaner. Used CRC as it's got the best reviews and they're really excellent products.
  13. Well I'm quite surprised that lexus Bradford is permanently closed. First day back in work for a fortnight on furlough and on a Bradford run. I passed the place and was saddened. Does anyone know why it's closed down?
  14. Maybe bite the bullet and find an auto electrician. Bound to be cheaper than a dealer.
  15. Yes it is but so is the 300h. I am actually torn between the two. If I were to find a gen 3 is250 in premier spec I'd have it.
  16. Hi Steve and welcome to the best Lexus forum there is and to Lexus car ownership. You won't be disappointed. The 300h is a fabulous car. Enjoy it.
  17. Hi Steve. Yes I loved the 2nd is300h I had. No issues with the hybrid system or CVT. Swapped it for the RX450H f sport for its size. Loved that too but financial reasons meant it had to go. Got the mondeo titanium x sport diesel which was superb but with it being a diesel and the market for them dropping like a stone I got what I have now which is a car I've wanted for a good few years.
  18. I'm wondering if you have actually gone past the detant on the gas pedal. I remember doing that gave the car quite a bit more urgency. I've gone the other way. I've had Premier is300h but I prefer my SE-L is250. Weird isn't it.
  19. Can you not use a self tapping screw? I'm quite surprised that the 'grommet' part has worn as it's basically not a moving part. Perhaps a previous owner has stripped it's thread.
  20. Ahhh the victsing. Thanks for confirming how it works Rowley. I must give you my experience of a similar way to stream. I started out a few years ago with such a device in my truck. However its Major downfall is the radio signal would get taken over by a radio station as I travelled from one town to another. I thought I found a great frequency but inevitably it got taken over by a radio station. As soon as I found a different way, the way I use now, I changed and now no interference from 'cowboy' radio stations or electrical interference, my unit has an inbuilt suppressor. Yes there are Bluetooth adapters similar to what I have But a good proportion need the addition of a suppressor.
  21. Well I did that cleaning job a month ago now. Have I noticed any changes? Yes. The car runs so much better. The throttle response is much better. This car now shoots away from the lights (yes ok I use a little more throttle now but not as much as you think) and is actually a nicer car to drive. Yes it sounds daft maybe but yes a nicer car to drive. I thoroughly recommend you do this to your cars. Oh and yes I have taken into account that its ruddy cold out there and has been for weeks which means the air is denser which in turn means more oxygen going into the combustion chamber before anyone tries to pee on my bonfire.
  22. Not loud enough? Does your car have the ML system? The Bluetooth adapter I've given links to and use streams music exceptionally well with thundering bass if its there in the first place.
  23. Glad you've sorted your Bluetooth issue. Have to disagree with your choice of word 'unobtrusive '. Anything visible is not really unobtrusive. But that's my opinion. What I use which is in the cubbyhole under the armrest is 100% unobtrusive and out of sight from prying eyes. No need to remove when exiting my car and plugging back in when I get back in. Enjoy your music streaming
  24. Blimey 21!. Wish I was 21 but back in the 80's lol. Welcome Davis to the best Lexus forum there is. Tell us more about your car and how Lexus is looked at compared to us Brits.
  25. Hi Simon. Yes the RX300 is a rare beast plus it's an old model. They'll all have high miles but don't despair. If the car has been looked after then it'll be a good car for many more years. Because of the ages of those cars you'll probably have to look at the suspension parts as they'll probably need doing. If you're getting one with a full lexus service history then it'll be a good car. If it isn't then do look at getting the car looked at at a garage you know and trust and be prepared to spend a good few hundred on brakes and suspension bushes etc.
