  1. Blimey that Dewsbury breaker is charging 5x more than I've paid on ebay. The Accrington breakers seem reasonable from my experience.
  2. Hi James. Yes it should be possible to buy a different coloured mirror and use its internals. Funnily enough I've just bought both left and right hand mirrors of ebay. My driver ones never worked but it does fold in on the button and the left one barely dips when reverse is selected. Best of luck in replacing the inerds (is that spelt right?). Good onya Lynas on your good gesture 👍
  3. Colin in no way whatsoever was you offensive. Factual YES. In this thread there has been some stupid questions and replies/interpretations. Sundance your 1st post asked a question which not only have you answered yourself but it's been answered numerous times. Oh as for additives against the negative effects of E10. I've emailed Millers Oils to get information about their additives and their use against the negative effects of ethanol in petrol. The brand you stated states in their blurb but it needs confirming. Personally I'm not looking forward to being forced to use super unleaded but hey ho that's life.
  4. As Colin stated above. You say a few minor scratches not deep. What colour do you see in the scratches? Black? Then don't bother doing anything as you'll probably make it worse like 90%of us do. White? Then no amount of rubbing polishing will sort the scratches out. White means the scratches have gone thru the clear coat and black paint. If you really want to do something about that 'White situation then you'll need a touch up paint kit. A 2 part. Colour and clear coat. Then a polish. Just a few 'minor scratches then leave them be. When I bought my car it had a kazillion scratches. Took it to a body shop I know and trust. 1 day later my car has about 30 or so around the car as the paint is now to thin to polish out. Only remedy is a paint job. But you know what? Black cars look good with a few minor scratches. Look at my thread 'not bad for 13yr old paint ' check out my photos. Just polish your whole car. Use Meguuires Ultimate Compound all over your car 1st then a polish of your liking. Best of luck.
  5. Hi Charlie and welcome. You've found a superb car and definitely bullet proof. Lots on this forum in the LS section. Best wishes with your new steed 👍
  6. Niiiiiiiiice. You'll have to keep us upto date with your project 👍
  7. https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news/104126/official-e10-petrol-launches-september Just read this so it looks like us is250 drivers will be using super unleaded from September. I'm good with that.
  8. Yeah Colin I've tried that a short while back and if memory serves the amount of dip was negligible. I will however have another look as it has been a good few months I've tried it. Cheers for the reminder 👍
  9. Mmmmm I've just picked something up from this. Side mirror dips when reverse selected? On my SE-L they don't.
  10. Personally speaking the satnav in my is250 with the updated as possible CD is pretty good and better than the negative opinions on it. So what if it hasn't the very latest roads/streets. It'll get you to within 100 yards of where you want to get to. As for the OP's request for opinions on SE or F sport. It's all down to what 'toys' you want. Service history.
  11. From what I've just googled and specifically for the UK is that E10 is a direct replacement of 91 grade petrol. 91 is the standard unleaded. So I'm assuming then that the super unleaded petrol like 95 and 98 Ron contain less ethanol. Also I read that to use E10 engine upgrades like a higher compression. Errrrr our is250's Are a high compression already so how come our cars are on the exclusion list? Doesn't make sense to me. No matter what I'll still use Millers fuel additive. Seems a fuss over nothing really. Just some dogooders not doing good after all. Scare mongering etc.
  12. Hi Keith and welcome to the best Lexus forum there is. Excellent car you have. Look in the gen 2 IS section where you'll find tons of threads on just about anything you can think of lol. So you've had this car 18 months and only just joined? What was the delay? How have you found it so far?
  13. Hi Scott and welcome. Real nice cars you have. What project you got planned for the 1st 400's engine? Keep us posted on your upgrade/tuning on your 2nd one 👍
  14. Hi Ritchie and welcome to the best Lexus forum there is. You'll find lots on here I the NX section. Enjoy your car when you get it.
  15. Hi Darren and welcome to the best Lexus forum there is. Seconded. Congrats on your new UX. A superb car. I had one for the day as a curtacy car. Loved it.

WOW. Started to read that thread of yours but gave up half way down page 2 lol. I'll suggest you Don't have a go in a Ford Mondeo titanium x sport ecoboost mk4.5. Seems it whoops the rear end of the 200t. I've had the mondy and it pulled like a train at any speed. Economy very similar to what you're getting but acceptable because its a big 5 seater with a huge boot but a stunner to look at (my opinion). Think you mentioned in that thread something about 300h fuel economy not being good. I've had is300h and rarely got less than 50mpg average. Loved that photo of yours next to a gen2 👍

Yes Vlad a really nice subtle V6 rumble lol but a little too quiet when you really floor it lol. Wow Linas I'm really surprised you feel your is250 felt better than your current RC200t a car which is on my want list. Want to compare its engine with a previous mondeo I had 2.0 litre turbo (ecoboost) both 240 horse and auto I believe? Mondeo pulled like a train.
  18. My supplier called Gear Max in Glasgow. I'm not converse with delivery charges to Ireland or anywhere else for that matter but from Glasgow to Ireland I can't believe there are high postage charges. Mine cost under £15.

  20. Eye opening video and personally I think it should be pasted in every subsection of the forum so as many folk as possible can see it and make them think before they buy. Excellent post Skyway 👍
  21. Yeah Alan Millyard is a ruddy magician. All done in 2 different sheds. What a genius. Known about him for years.
  22. Live those black wheels 👍 car looks really nice especially with those rear tinted windows. Glad you like your steed. Ruddy good cars.
  23. Difficult to find? I found them straight away on ebay and acceptable prices and quick delivery.

Really???? Thats weird. Maybe the quote I got is because I'm a regular customer and got a service plan with them. Well if you feel confident and comfortable doing it yourself then first look at YouTube where there are loads of videos how to do it.
