Remapping bhp torque

Blimey Redex. Use to be really good stuff years ago then went through a really bad patch with lots of complaints about engine failures etc. Lost touch with it about 20 years ago. Personally I use Millers petrol ecomax. Used the diesel version in all my diesel cars with very good results. -
Blimey Mo. One reason the mirror isn't seating right is there's probably still some silicone sealant there. That's what was stopping my mirror seating right. I can't believe you had a problem with the mirror casing. I found it dead easy and even when on the car. Well done however on transplanting the motors. You wiped the floor with me there m8.

Now now girls. Hugh just ignore linas and nicnac because they will fry your head big time. Oh I've just ordered 2 Bridgestone Turanza T005's rears for my car. Excellent reviews and £230 a pair fitted from Halfords with a 10% discount.
-
Hugh. Don't be confused. Get the car. See how it drives but give it some time. Looks like the car you're getting has the wrong tyres fitted somehow but don't be put off. If after a good few hundred miles you feel the car is a tad uncomfortable then change the rears to the correct size as per lexus handbook. Clear your head of confusion and simply enjoy the car when you get it.

Hi. I had the same with my is250. Lexus quoted me just over £360 to do. Bit much I thought. I tried kwikfit but same price. Halfords misquoted me initially but they did the job for £350 and a free MOT. MOT was due.

Nice work John. I posted what to do after cleaning the MAF. I hadn't a clue the revs would shoot up. No one had ideas on here so I googled and saw 2 relevant videos. Tried thec1st but to no avail. 2nd one was from a truck company but that worked a treat. Oh I didn't disconnect my battery. For the throttle body I disconnected the multi plug, intention was to remove the body but because of 2 pipes going to the body I didn't chance it. Looks like you did a great job with your clean and your product worked well. Just goes to show. I chose CRC products you used WD40. Now enjoy your car 👍 -

Hi Bilal. Wow you've been busy with all those posts posted at the same time. Bad luck with the prang and damage but glad it's sorted. I'm intrigued by you wanting the grom vline thing. To me it's got far too many negative reviews. I'm not informed about apple car play. Is it a form of Bluetooth music streaming? If so save about £480 and get a Bluetooth adapter plugged into the aux socket in the armrest cubby hole. I have that and my ML sounds outstanding. Hopefully below is my install Note I've used a 90 degree cigarette socket adapter and a 2v cigarette power socket but a shallow one. Simple effective and out of the way. -
Hi Hugh. My 2007 SE-L is on 17's. 225/4517 front and 245/45/17 on rear. Leave your 18's on and research a softer walled tyre. But basically let me tell you about a Ford Mondeo I had. It ran on 19's. The car was the titanium sport x. So yes it had ki d of harder suspension etc. However that car rode the road sublimely. Very comfortable and compliant. Just food for thought. Oh going back to a softer walked tyre. No. Typically what I've found is the cheaper the tyre the harsher the ride. And well done on your latest purchase 👍

MAF cleaner is a softer cleaner. Throttle body cleaner is like carb cleaner but is too harsh for the MAF. £4? Oh well you get what you pay for. I used CRC sprays. Look on ebay. -

So was it just the seat backs you removed? Why is the parcel shelf so difficult to lift up? -

The seller seems very adamant about the asking price. But for a full service car with that kind of mileage then if the car has had 2 new rear tyres as someone has mentioned then give them 5.5k. If the car needs tyres then tell them that and knock 200 quid off. I paid 5.75k for my 2007 78k miler one owner from new full dealer service history. That was last July.

Forget remapping. Clean your MAF sensor. Clean the Throttle Body. Use a petrol octane booster additive. Sounds to me the car has had a very leisurely life so far and quite possibly the valve stems are full of crud. You could try decoking by using a product like seafoam or similar. Change your airfilter and sparkplugs. Give your car an Italian tune. My 2007 81.5k miler runs sweet and pulls when asked to. MAF and Throttle body clean will show improvements. -

Effing brilliant invention ☝ -
Hi Mo. The motors and inners are possibly the same But to get them out is a nightmare. I bought a pair of ebay as they were really cheap. I thought about swapping the inner bits but for the life of me I couldn't suss out how to strip them completely. I sent them back and bought a black one same price as the pair but hey ho you live and learn but the price of the mirror was very fair at £50. Mine was driver side I had a problem with.
-
Hi Mo. I feel your pain so to speak. Personally speaking I'd say replace your mirror. There are a few on ebay. Just last weekend I replaced my driver side mirror as it hadn't worked since I got it. The one I bought was rough But I replaced the coloured plastic shrouds with the ones that were on the car. Don't try a silicone type repair as it'll fail quicker than you think. A pointer for you in putting a 'new' mirror back on your car. The nut top right ( top left for you I think but you'll see for yourself which one looks a sod to get at) is a proper B***h of a job. How I did it was to hold the mirror with one hand, have the nut in the socket wrench next to the hole ,hold the mirror at an angle so the nut goes onto the mirror stud. Youll see what I mean as on mine anyway there is a piece of bodywork which is just in the way of the nut.

First off really bad news about the theft. Richard that idea of an explosive. That reminded me of someone back in the 80's who had a Yamaha FZ750. He was something. He developed a spike which popped out from beneath the seat unless something specific was done. Now that is a superb idea. Impale the scumbag lol. -
