  1. Just read that thread Herbie. It doesn't state he's using a genuine nextbase hardwire kit just that he's hardwired it. I first bought a copy kit but it was rubbish so sent it back and got genuine. No issues what so ever. His being the 300h shouldn't be a problem.
  2. Paul. How have you hardwired your nextbase? Did you use a genuine nextbase hardwire kit or a copy/universal? I have the 322GW in my is250. When I bought it I also got a none genuine hardwire kit. That kit was a waste of money and got sent back. I then bought a genuine nextbase one and all is fine and dandy. Look in your handbook in the fuses section and find one which is 10 amps and ignition powered on. Aircon, sunroof is the one I use.
  3. Note because of the piggyback fuse supplied in the hardwire kit the fuse box lid won't fit anymore. Hope this helps.
  4. Oh I got mine from ebay it was direct from Nextbase but reconditioned. Works a treat. And as for the memory card get a similar spec one from ebay. Half the price for the same card.
  5. Hi Lee. I've got the 322GW. When I got mine I got the hardwire kit. Did you get the hardwire kit? If not then get one. Make sure its genuine Nextbase. Dead easy to install. Oh LenT the nextbase has an internal battery. The fuse I used is in the passenger side fuse box fuse number 12. As you look at the fuse box you'll see 3 rows. Looking fron the front of the car to the rear it's the middle row 3rd space (empty spaces and ones with fuses inclusive) 3rd fuse up. One thing to note. Make sure you've got a 10 amp micro fuse as used in the fuse box (they're not normal size) As I've stated Make sure you get the genuine Nextbase hardwire kit for your 522GW
  6. I'd have to disagree regarding 200kg of sound deadening in the is250. Yes the car is well dampened But to my amazement when I 1st took off the drivers door panel that the door skin was absolutely tinny. I cured that with a sheet of dynamat. Did it on all 4 doors. My car now sounds like a luxury car when I shut the doors. Now that's just the doors missing sound deadening (OK there is a very small piece of cheap sound deadening in the door panel but it's as good as useless) so it begs the question where else is sound deadening skrimpt on? ( sorry I can't spell skrimpt)
  7. Doubt you'll get an answer from the OP. He's not been on here since Msy 2020.
  8. £20 for a 2nd hand airbox!! Might as well get one and cut a hole in that and see if you like the sound. Maybe get rid of the internal fins to smooth airflow and see if that makes any difference.
  9. Hi Borika. Wow a section in the forum I've never visited until today. I'm very interested in what you've done with your is250. Will you tell what you've done please.
  10. Sorry I've got to laugh. When I had a 1.6 litre Ford focus diesel I thought at the time I'd buy the K&N induction kit. Basically a tuned airbox with a performance air filter. With that box was a square piece about 2-3" which could be removed. Why do I have to laugh? Basically it was a waste of money. Absolutely no difference in performance and the induction noise was ruddy awful. Those 2 videos are with the is350. That cars induction noise will be much more than the 250. But with the car being a V6 I think I'll see how much a standard airbox is and if cheap enough I might have a go for a laugh.
  11. So you are now going to look for an is250 but a 2011/2012 model yes? There's quite a difference in price like 4x. The diesel price is circa 3.5k. That can but a 2007 SE-L Is250 with all the toys.
  12. See if there are any is300h near you. They're not that far apart in getting in and out of and seat height and window door heights are similar too. At least you'll get a good idea.
  13. Oh I forgot to say. Paul, you surely must win the prize for best mpg in a is250. I've only managed that once on a motorway run Manchester to Leeds at 65 mph. Well done you 👍
  14. Android m8. Samsung S10 lite.
  15. Hi Ryan. Good move in asking here for advice. There is a rule of thumb regarding choosing between diesel and petrol. Choose diesel for annual mileage of 20k plus. Choose petrol for annual mileage below 20k. Now it is possible to have a diesel car when annual mileage is say around 6k But you need to know the history of that car, has it been looked after, has it a full service history? For example the car I had before my current is250 was a Ford Mondeo titanium x sport 2.2 diesel auto. My annual mileage was 4k. Yes I drove it 2 miles to work. However once a week I took it on a 35 mile motorway run. I'd still have that car But the market with diesel cars is on a definite downward travel. I'd have lost £7k if I sold that car today compared to losing £3k 8 months ago. Food for thought.
  16. Well it goes to show the myriad of different Bluetooth adapters. My adapter connects immediately after ignition is turned on.
  17. Ok. So you say the sound is so low. I take it you mean volume. What volume setting on your phone do you use? I have my Samsung on max and radio on 30. 30 is quite loud. Mind you depends on what you're listening to. Spotify I find is quite varied in volume even with the settings set to maintain the same volume between different tracks. Also I must add you have ML But my experience tells me there are different ways ML systems play music. My experience is I've had 2 is300h premium Premier with ML. Both 2014 cars and exactly the same colour spec etc etc. However the 1st one the ML was rubbish and the suspension was really hard. My 2nd one was perfect. ML was superb and suspension great. So even though Lexus puts ML in cars it doesn't mean it'll be a good system. It's unfortunate but since my is300h cars I've test driven my other Lexus cars over potholes etc and the ML System. I've rejected 2 RX450H cars before settling for the 3rd one I saw. Just food for thought.
  18. I've seen that RX V8 in a marty motoring video. What a wonderful marriage which Lexus should do personally speaking. I'd rob a bank to buy one lol.
  19. Have you got a Bluetooth adapter or have you got your phone wired directly to the AUX socket?.
  20. No need to worry John. If it wasn't fit for purpose then it wouldn't be on the shelves. Ruddy eck 3 bottles for a sick squid? You robbed them m8 lol
  21. I see you've already got the AUX socket in use But I notice you have a USB socket and an AUX socket. USB must have been added to updated models. Ok so the Red lead is plugged into the USB socket and a Black wire into the AUX socket. My Bluetooth adapter needs power. That comes from the cigarette socket with a shallow power adapter and a 90 degree bend adapter (otherwise the lid won't shut). The shallow power adapter has 2 USB sockets within so the thing is you'll have to sacrifice the Black lead which am I right to assume is a wire to your phone?
  22. John. Hopefully I've copied links to what I have. I think I can answer calls with the steering wheel button but sound is superb. I have a Samsung S10 lite with volume for music on max, on the car 30 is loud 40 is crazy loud 50 is TOO RUDDY LOUD lol https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fast-Car-Charger-USB-Cigarette-Lighter-Socket-Dual-Adapter-For-iPhone-Samsung-/224291663573?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/USB-2-0-Right-Angle-Adapter-Male-to-Female-90-Degree-Bend-Adaptor-/292074804774?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-in-1-USB-Bluetooth-5-0-Transmitter-Receiver-AUX-Audio-Adapter-for-TV-PC-Car-/164201487335?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292 These are available on ebay.
  23. I've seen that video a while back Bilal. Have you not considered the Vaistech module. It looks more reliable than the grom and is cheaper. Sorry I forget the actual model but Google Vaistech and you'll see what I mean.
