  1. Going over speed bumps in 1st is quite normal. The is250 doesn't really like ultra slow speeds other than in 1st gear. If it were to be in 2nd then the car would probably judder a bit. Even tho it's a V6 treat it like a 2 stroke motorbike and it'll love you. Just get it out of your system wanting to be in 2nd gear over bumps and just enjoy your car.
  2. Hello Jon and welcome to Lexus ownership and the best Lexus forum there is. Sounds like you've got yourself a pearler of a car. It should keep you going 20 years easily as I'm sure you'll look after it. You should post some photos of your silent beast.
  3. ROFL I love the name of the sticky sealant stuff from evostik
  4. Blimey if you want to believe the bmw supra is better looking than the Lexus LC then that's your perogative. What I said is my perogative. Oh the LC knocks the supra for a six in my opinion 👍
  5. There's nowt wrong with that Malcolm. We all enjoy what we believe to be the best. Happy drinking days 👍
  6. LOL Phil. By normal I mean glass that's used in bottles drinking glasses etc. To me crystal items are for show and to admire.
  7. What about the 5.0l RCF? As for the bmw toyota supra. It looks good and that's it. I wouldn't have called it a supra. Doing so I think insults true supra fans, I'm not one by the way. Car companies have collaborated with each other for decades and no one really battered an eye lid. So I can't understand the batting of eye lids with bmw and toyota collaborating on a 2 seater coupe.
  8. Can't (I'll get told off again lol)
  9. What a good thread. Shame there's been a 4 year gap in posts. I've just found it. I started riding bikes at 12. My brother taught me at school playground lol. That was a Yamaha AS1 (apparently it was the very first one put on the streets of our fair country, only sold it about 6 years ago, oh bought new in 1968). My first bike was the Yamaha RD400D followed by XJ750. Had a Suzuki 250, KH400. Last bike was the FJ1200 which I had a few years till you know when you go out for a ride and you just know something is going to happen. Well it did I fell off it at speed. Was out of action a couple of weeks. Sold it to a m8 and that was that. I had 15 wonderful years of bikes and moved to cars and thats a totally different story lol.
  10. Very interesting about lead crystal seepage etc. Never been a lover of any kind of crystal glassware. Normal glass for me as I'm a normal bloke.
  11. You pester away Lesley. We're all here to help each other as best we can.
  12. Hi Lesley. Just how long have you had the car? I'm assuming not long so basically take the car back to where you bought it and get them to replace the damaged tie rod. If they refuse then threaten them with a small claims court claim and with trading standards. How much MOT came with the car? If it came with a full 12 months then that's really dodgy and you need to get your money back and get another car.
  13. Hey Eric. Come to Rochdale. Here there are hundreds of the Powerful beemers mercs audis ferraris that are driven by morons as you put it. Plenty of V8 burnouts donuts too. Us Northerners ROCK. Quite often, so I don't feel left out, I floor my is250 just coz I can 😇
  14. Yes John as you've stated but the only difference I can think off is tyre brand on the two 300h's I had. Everything else was identical (except the ML in the 1st one wasn't anywhere as good as the 2nd) I just can't remember what tyres were on the cars but possibly what was on them from new as the cars were about 40k miles on each.
  15. As per comfort in the is300h premier. I've had 2 both being 64 plate so 2014 cars. I think back then the premier came with 17" rims. Now what I found was my 1st one rode harsh. Thudded in pot holes and was awful. 2nd one however floated on pot holes never thudded and was super comfy. Before I bought it I took it on a test drive and purposely hit every pot hole speed bump and anything else which I thought would unsettle the car. I told the salesman my intentions and he said go for it. I knew after hitting the first pothole that was the car for me. So like I've stated numerous times even though the car is exactly the same in spec colour etc etc they actually are not the same.
  16. It's only once a week John I'm on Southern Comfort usually but I'll be on it again Saturday. I'm not worried about that bloke Sir Rossis I don't drink enough for that.
  17. Your welcome Mike. When you get your car introduce yourself in the new members section and post some photos of your car. We like to see what our fellow Lexusoinions have.
  18. I've list track of this thread but hey ho. is350c hhmmmmm. Yes it's more than a ruddy shame Lexus basically refused to let us have the is350. I've watched 2 YouTube videos this morning one from America the other from Australia on the 2021 Lexus is350 f sport. My word what a stunner. The sound through the zorsts is astonishingly subdued. However the aussie video guy mentioned that Lexus were doing a Turbo version is350. Now I don't know how true that is but that would be an outstanding car. Over in the RX section someone posted a Lexus video of putting the engine from the GSR into an RX. They actually made the RXR and it makes one wonder what other gems Lexus have up their sleeves. That RXR car is in one of Marty Motoring videos but only for a few seconds but what you see is outstanding. Sorry for this post but I'm bored lol
  19. Ah. Have you googled a Lexus dealer near you? Look on Lexus website and navigate to essential servicing. Because your car is over 10 years old Lexus do a service for our cars and at a very competitive price. Plus a free courtesy car and MOT included. For example I'm paying £32/month over 19 months for a 2 year service plan on my 2007 is250.
  20. Yes it's weird apart from 2 cars which had silver grey and one car a grey interior (I'm not counting the 4 lexus cars I've had) all other cars had black interiors. Loved them all. (now to Lexus) My 1st lexus had the cream interior as have 2 others (all is's as it happens) the RX had all black but my point is I'm converted to the cream interior which I'm rather surprised at. Ok my car has a black dash mind you every car has lol. Having the feeling of more space in a car hasn't really crossed my mind. If this post doesn't make sense please forgive me, I'm on my 3rd quadruple Southern Comfort hic well it is my birthday 🥃
  21. I tried the moonroof in my is250 a good few months ago. I thought oh feck how do I shut it lol. Eventually I did and haven't used it since lol.
  22. Cheers Colin 🥃
  23. Not sure if this has been asked so apologies if it has. But anyway as the title asks. Mine is below
  24. 59 today. Cheers everyone
