Hi Chris. WOW you jammy beggar lol. Excellent choice for one of the best cars built ever. Now keep calm so when you do get it you'll not pee yourself with excitement, but bet you will anyway. Anyway welcome to the best Lexus forum there is. When you do get your supercar don't forget to post lots of photos as we like to see each others cars.

Hi Peter and welcome to Lexus ownership and the best Lexus forum there is. Hopefully you'll find owning a RX300 will suit you and your purposes very well. You've got the top spec one which is great. Don't worry about fuel consumption because when you're in it driving you'll have a smile on your face because of the superb ride and quietness and that subtle sound of that glorious V6 engine. When you get it don't forget to post some photos of it. We all like to see each others cars. Lovely place you live and wow to the flooding.

looking at getting my first Lexus - IS300h
Mr Vlad replied to gtanny's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
Mmmmmm quite harsh David. I suggest you test drive another is300h from a different dealer. Now you've tried just the one car and as I said you'd find it weird but try another one because that car you drove doesn't seem proper to me. If driving a 2nd 300h still doesn't float your boat then may I suggest a 3rd gen is250. -
Hi Mobbs. Welcome to Lexus ownership and the best Lexus forum there is. Lexus do a service plan called Essential Service. It's for us with Lexus cars over 10 years old. Very keenly priced. I personally use Lexus Stockport even though Bolton is nearer. Look on the Lexus website and find Essential Service and find your car in the list and you'll get the price on different services.

Please can someone tell me what this is
Mr Vlad replied to Johnlex's topic in Lexus Audio/Video/Electronics/Security
How does your cars sound system sound? The easiest way to introduce a subwoofer (a powered one) is to splice into a pos and a neg speaker wire as your inputs. Find the power on lead on the existing amp (not the 12v one but the one which switches the amp on when the radio is turned on). Ideally get your 12v power from the battery. Depending on which powered sub you get you can wire the speaker wires directly into the amp of the sub or you may have to get one of those little gizmos that translate the speaker lead into an input lead ( hope I'm making sense but I'm forgetting what things are called). Considering the size of the boot I strongly recommend the Alpine SW 815. It's small but ruddy MIGHTY. Had one in my mondeo and that system I had in that car blows any ML into the cosmos. -
looking at getting my first Lexus - IS300h

Hi David. If you've never driven an automatic car then you'll find the is300h weird. You'll probably think 'WTF' with the revs revving higher than you've experienced in manual cars (unless you've revved the nuts of them). I bought a is300h from all other cars being manual and couldn't get used to it. Exchanged it for an auto mondeo sport. After a year I bought another is300h and loved it to bits. Have a very opened mind when you test drive the is300h. They're a fantastic car. -
Hi Mike. Best pur your questions in the IS section of the forum. Quite a few have the convertible so you'll find answers soon. Welcome to the forum by the way. Oh since your car is 2010 then post questions in the gen 2 IS section.
-
Hi Scotty. Yes a very good review of your car. Thanks. You've got a cracking car. Enjoy it.
-
Your not the only one who bought an is250 without the bottom spoiler lip. Lexus parts direct. Colour matched. Ok it cost about £160 but hey ho mistakes happen. Look under the front bumper lip just to make sure what nuts, fixings etc there are. Luckily all mine where there except 2 But so longs as the very outer two bolts are there and 3 others in the middle then you'll be ok coz the top clips hold the lips, oh and the bottom spoiler lip is in 2 parts by the way, superbly. I only did that job week before last. Get original from Lexus parts direct coz chances are any from a scrapper will be fecked.

Where did you get those black centre caps from John? And thanks for telling us about the wheel refurb kit. I had my wheels refurbished a good few months ago. Annoyed myself last week I scuffed my front drivers side wheel on a high kerb but my wheel colour is not a Lexus colour but a bmw grey one. -
Hi Zim. Look in the RX section. There's lots in there on this section. From what I gather it depends where you live. I understand its more active down south than up north.
-
Hi Zim and welcome to Lexus ownership and the best Lexus forum there is. Superb car you have. I kind of miss my 2012 RX450H f-sport it was a fantastic car but don't need a big car now. Get yourself in the RX section and don't forget to post some pics. It's mandatory lol. No it's just we like to see new members cars.

Hi Scotty and welcome to Lexus ownership and the best Lexus forum there is. You've found a fabulous car and that you're happy with it. Yes you'll have to post some pics of it as we Lexus owners like to see each others cars. I'm personally intrigued by how the car goes. I have the is250 so we have the same engine but with your car being bigger and heavier I wonder if that hampers performance much. Please do let me know. Happy motoring 👍

Something I forgot to mention. On my way home after picking up the UX the traction battery was full so when I was on the motorway I absolutely booted it. To my surprise it shot off like a scolded cat. I actually was thrown back into my seat. Enjoy your car Dave and look in the UX section of this forum as there are loads of threads there. You'll find all your answers there.

Never heard of Apeman dash cam but hey ho if reviews are good then why not. I had a UX250h for a day as a courtesy car. Really was impressed. When I took it back they asked me if I'd like to know what mpg I got. I thought oh pooh as I drove it like I stole it half the time lol and normally the rest. Anyway if memory serves me right I averaged 50mpg and was on electric 47% of the time. So when you get yours you've got something to aim for lol
-
Hi Dave and welcome to the best Lexus forum there is. So you getting a UX? What made you go for one? Which dash cam you getting? If nextbase then get the genuine hardwire kit. I tried a copy one and it was S***. Post some pics of your new car as we all like to see pics of Lexus cars.

Wow Linas is this the 1st post you've not put a word in? Excellent reply to the OP 👍 -
Hi Jon. Look in the LS section of this forum. Tons of excellent info and advice. I sometimes pop in for a glance and that's where I first learnt of the issue. You've got some home hifi gear I've not heard of but kind of rings a bell, must be my age lol.
-
Eh up Jon so you have a Levinson amp in your home set up? Which one is it and how long have you had it? What's your system made up of if you don't mind me asking? I've had Quad now for about 30 years which I bought 2nd hand then. 44 pre amp and 405-2 power. Kef 101c speakers with a custom sub designed by the original Wilmslow Audio. Thorens TD160B mk2 with SME 3 mk2 arm and Shure V15 111. Hardly used in the past decade but wired it up about 2 years ago and blew me away. Forgot how ruddy loud and clear it was lol. Anyway I digress. Your car looks beautiful. As stated above. There seems to be an issue regarding the radiator and water leakage into the gearbox.
