  1. @Herbie. You stated you got points and a fine ONE year ago then just a few weeks later you got caught speeding again but got offered a speed awareness course? Well all I can say is you were one helluva lucky sod. And I mean lucky. You really should have got points again and a bigger fine. But if you get caught speeding again in the next 2.5 years you won't get offered the course but be fined heavily. @Phil. A bit harsh there pal on Rayaans. Someone mentioned Road Angel. They're utter c r a p. For anyone seriously looking for a speed camera location then look up beat the speed trap. A 'club' dedicated to speed related issues. Ok I've been a member about 15 years but the main guy dies my head in lol. They've introduced an updated camera detector which is the beez neez. I use the 1st issue one and it spots fixed camera locations and mobile cameras too. Even those powerful cameras that when you see one 1/4 mile away it's too late type. But what I'd like to know is this. You have a sedate luxury car which takes a firm press of the gas pedal to go quick why do you want speed camera location notification ? All I can think of is you are a habitual speeder. Therefore why do you have a GS300h? I know these cars. I wanted one but got the is300h instead. I'm not having a go but I'm a bit flummoxed by this thread. There is a time and ace to speed. Believe me I speed far more than I'd like but I do it where I know there are no cameras and nowhere for mobile ones to be.
  2. Excellent post Barry. My post was meant by not using the self bleed kit Chris has but using the old fashioned way.
  3. Get a friend to press the brake pedal as required.
  4. Hi Peter and welcome to the best Lexus forum there is. And wow what a great looker you've got. What made you want and get one?
  5. First off glad your car is back on the road. However you say you had a small front end collision yes? What do you call small? In my mind for a drive shaft to 'pop' off and smash a hole in the tunnel and floor under the rear seats and also damaging the exhaust then that front collision must have been one helluva shunt and possibly written the car off.
  6. Well I'm still going through my DVD's. Just watched Vault Of Death. Funny? Understatement. Laughed all the way through it. If you can you just have to watch it. Oh well The Mighty Atom next.
  7. As above. Personally I don't know why anyone has an issue with the photo card.
  8. Hi m8. Hopefully these links work https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-in-1-USB-Bluetooth-5-0-Transmitter-Receiver-AUX-Audio-Adapter-for-TV-PC-Car-/164201487335?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fast-Car-Charger-USB-Cigarette-Lighter-Socket-Dual-Adapter-For-iPhone-Samsung-/224291663573?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/USB-2-0-Right-Angle-Adapter-Male-to-Female-90-Degree-Bend-Adaptor-/292074804774?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292 If these particular items aren't on then just look for similar. Below is how it looks in my is250
  9. Tom Mabe crime scene just watched it and finding it hard to type its creased me up big time 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Good post Colin with that number. 👍 Yes lots of divz trying it on to con us etc. Next time I get a similar call think I'll do a Tom Mabe kind of thing lol
  10. For the second time this year I've received a spoof phone call this time from the national crime office. It's a mobile number not a landline. Today it was about suspension of my NI number. These calls start with a stern male voice recorded message. It stated my NI number was about to be suspended because of illegal use etc etc. Press 1 to speak with an officer. Now this I'll do because I know it's a spam . I ended up speaking with an English guy who said he's from national crime office. I answered ' whats this about national insurance number?' He duly hung up. After a call with the tax office they said they're aware of a scam to do with NI number. So just be wary of unknown mobile numbers phoning you. Please tell all your older family members who could possibly fall for a scam. My previous call was from so called tax office on a mobile number. Stern well spoken voice message stating I owed tax. I pressed 1 only to speak to an Asian woman who's English was poor. I stated categorically I did not owe tax. I did owe tax which was now paid off. She hung up. My 2 examples of spoof calls. Be aware.
  11. Yes I was just about to say get them wrapped instead or hydro dipped.
  12. More great theme tunes. Blimey Joe 90 I forgot all about him. I suppose I should also enter the theme tune to THUNDERBIRDS as I'm in the process of watching all 27 episodes.
  13. Blimey. Ivecread that the amp is in the boot. I've read the amp is in the area of the glove box. I've heard of stereo but that's ridiculous lol.
  14. All good theme tunes so far and a great variation which is what I'm looking for 👍
  15. No problem Bilal. There is an alternative to grom. Vaistech do a similar thing but they have a shed load of positive reviews. A couple hundred quid cheaper too. The one and only thing that put me off getting one was that the phone has to be connected by a wire to the unit.
  16. John I doubt very much those 60 quid ones are crap. They're probably made by Chinkychong Industries who manufacture them and put different labels on. Just coz KnN is a well known brand They're very well marketed. Like I've said sometime before I bought a KnN induction kit for a Ford Focus I once had. It was ok at first but after a week I got sick of it and went back to standard. A friend had the same car but bought a 'cheap' one and guess what. The only difference was the label.
  17. After reading this thread, again, a few hours ago I looked on ebay to price these cold air intakes. Sure enough KnN effing expensive. Scroll down some and blow me £56 for summat identical from America????? OK £60 pnp but its a no brained. Ok nowt wrong with wanting more noise from an induction kit. But no way spend over £300. Get the yank ones at half the price. Actually it's something I'll look into later in the year.
  18. Sorry but never thought much of the theme tune to The Professionals. Though I did like the series.
  19. Eh up Rich you're not killing this thread just adding a theme tune within 0.2% being as good as my favourite. I'd actually forget about that tune but really really like it. Thanks for posting it. Must find out how to post from a YouTube video as you have.
  20. Hi Mary and welcome to Lexus ownership and the best Lexus forum there is. Nearest car I've had to yours was a RX450H. On short journey low 20's so yours looks about right. With yours being a 2006 the Bluetooth may have an issue with your much up to date phone. If you look within the forum I recommend you get an aftermarket Bluetooth adapter which plugs into the rear of the radio unit. Sounds scary but look on YouTube on removing the radio. It's very easy. The Bluetooth adapter recommend and used by a few on this forum is https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bluetooth-Audio-Music-Adapter-LEXUS-IS-ISF-GS-RX-LS-300-350-400-H-/264004475652?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286 The beauty of this unit is you'll be able to stream music which is a bonus.
  21. Thought I'd find out about people's favourite TV theme tunes. Mine is the tune from the TV show Life on Mars. https://youtu.be/pX_IacZ8Ktk
  22. Excellent video you made proving without doubt just what a load of rubbish the grom thing is. Utter waste of money. I wouldn't have tolerated anywhere near as much as you with those issues. I'd have sent the thing back and got a full refund.
  23. Love that colour interior.
  24. Thanks for the update Stew. Glad you got yourself a really good car, I really like the GS450h. Have a great time with it. Looking forward to seeing pics of it.
  25. The trick to safely remove bird poo is to get a soft cloth, soak it in water, apply wet cloth onto the poo. Leave it 10 mins. What thecwet cloth does is softens it so it makes it easily removable. There is a product out there made just for that job. I bought some and yes it works really well but I thought why spend a few quid when I can do it for free.
