  1. Ideally level but it won't matter if you just use your ramps. There will always be a little of the old oil left in the sump but less than half a litre so putting 6+ litres of fresh clean oil won't get diluted much at all.
  2. Kiefels. There's Always a method to mount a loudspeaker. From the videos I've seen regarding removal of the sub speaker I doubt very much there's an issue to mount a none ML speaker there. I'm not saying it's a straight plop in and screw it down. An MDF mount would have to be fabricated.
  3. Corvair? Arguably the most dangerous car ever built eh?
  4. Actually you're Not supposed to use any buttons on the dash whilst driving. If an eagle eyed copper saw you and was in the mood he'd book you for it.
  5. Well you know what Rod? Those photos of your cars inlet ports show us owners of the superb is250 that we need not worry about carbon build up like those in America. I was, until I saw those pics, going to get my car carbon cleaned before taking it for its service. Now I'm not going to.
  6. Blimey those ports look amazingly clean. How many miles on your car?
  7. The chances are you'll blow the next sub you get from a scrapper. Best thing to do is buy a brand new sub speaker as close to spec as there is. I don't know the size of the sub speaker but I'm assuming it's about 6". If no 6" sub speakers exist then a good quality bass unit should do. I remember some years back I bought 2x 6" Denon mid bass units. By eck they thumped sub bass out. Those units don't exist anymore but similar do I'm sure.
  8. Hi Bobby and welcome finally to Lexus ownership. Don't you worry that you got sucked into Abarth. Ruddy excellent little car, well the 500 one anyway. Have a good look in the CT section where you may just find info about apple car play.
  9. Hi Duggie. Welcome to the best Lexus forum there is. You lucky sod with the awesome GS-F lol. Oh I know 110% what you mean about the tit x sport ecoboost. I had one. Plus I've had the 2.2 diesel tit x sport one manual and the other auto. Had the auto a while before I swapped it for my is250. Looking forward to seeing the pics you post.
  10. I'd have a hydrogen powered car over an electric one any day.
  11. Wow what a thread. There's been quite a bit of banter about the warranty that Lexus give and how it differs from what they gave. Personally I feel sorry for folk who buy a Lexus out of its warranty period and get a worse warranty for it on purchase. Warranties nowadays are not anywhere as good as they use to be. Do you need a warranty with a car say 5 years old and older? No. There are plenty of used spares and 3rd party parts available nowadays that if summat happens to a car then it can be repaired relatively cheaply. Blimey there are videos on YouTube showing you how to change/replace parts. Oh yes there are exceptions of a few models but for the 'normal ' cars like I've stated.
  12. Hi Mike. I'd forget the GS450H if boot space is important. Great car but let down only by the boot. RX450H is what you should be thinking of. HUGE boot same engine comfy as comfy can be. Great luxury reliable car. Neither car will be as fuel efficient as your 330d so be prepared for about 50 - 60% of what your beemer does, over an average.
  13. Ok. I think enough is enough on this futile argument on whether you can or can't tune a car or not. This is John's thread about an aftermarket air inlet tube mod. Leave the next post to him when he's ready to report anything if at all when he fits his new pipe. Cheers 🍻
  14. Hi Tariq. Thanks. Just had a look and recognise the place but when I use to deliver to fruit and veg places on the same road I passed that car wash place almost daily. I assume its got new owners now who are auto glym accredited. Let us know how you get on when you go.
  15. No problem Jim. I had the unbelievable UR Quattro for about 8 years back in the day.
  16. What? You've owned up to owning an Audi!!!!!! Shame on you lol. Good job you're getting rid soon otherwise you'd be lynched lol. Welcome to Lexus ownership by the way 👍
  17. Excellent Steve. You're too good to your son in law lol.
  18. Eh up Tariq. So where's this autoglym centre in Manchester? If its more Oldham then keep away. I was going to use it but changed my mind after reading some reviews and seeing where it was. Not a kind of place you'd expect to see a so called posh car wash place. But as a polish, going back to your questions, I use Williams waterless car wash stuff as a polish only. I get great results with it and have done for years.
  19. AuWell I'm back on my thread. Well I stated I'd not use the TRF FOAM method again But I've not long got back in sat on my arse typing this. Ruddy ell it took TWO hours start to finish. The foam stuff tho really good has a massive drawback. It takes over half an hour to wash it off the ground into the drain 😒. So like I said before I doff my cap to those who spend a couple of hours or more detailing their cars but me? I'll use the TRF but use the bucket with a good soap and some Auto Glym shampoo conditioner as a rinse aid. Didn't finish off with my waterless wash wax as I was knackered lol.
  20. Blimey Alf just what kind of paint are you using which takes TEN days to go off???? That's ridiculous. 24 hours top for a quality and even cheap paint to go off/dry. Have you tried ebay for front calipers? Oh your English is 👍
  21. I imagine that 2nd gen IS Did end up having a problem because the water went over its bonnet and hence into the air intake and quite possibly into the engine.
