  1. Hi Lee and welcome to Lexus ownership and the best Lexus forum there is. Since you've had a 4 wheel alignment and your tyres are new the only things to consider are that 1 the camber of the roads will always make the car steer left. Another thing to consider is are the brakes binding in any way? Our cars suffer from sticking rear brakes. Lexus do Not service the brakes on any service. The rear brake caliper slide pins seize through lack of grease maintenance. Check all brake caliper slide pins for rust, dust, any damage what so ever. Look on the forum where there's a lot on this brake subject. Otherwise don't worry about having to micro adjust your steering. Your is250 is probably the best car you've had and runs perfectly true that it's because of this you've not noticed it on any other car you've had.
  2. Mr Vlad

    Hello.

Hello C. So what does C stand for? Why not mention its an is250 you got? Don't be embarrassed. We are all brothers and sisters here who adore our Lexus cars. What made you get one? Photos are always appreciated. Welcome to Lexus ownership and the best Lexus forum there is.
  3. Ok games up 13 bags of garden rubble/soil each about 30kg. Surprisingly big boot the is250 has lol
  4. Fitted a very very cheap lowering kit to my car today.
  5. I was overtaken by a Lexus LS460 in a manner Not expected by a driver of such a car. Lovely sound but I wonder if he/she caught the offside wheel on the kerb where the central reservation starts. I did laugh to myself thinking what a plonker. Must of been just stolen as it totally disappeared from view.
  6. Blimey that is very sad news to learn of the sudden passing away of a truly knowledgeable helpful guy. Read a fair number of his posts when I had my RX. Rest in peace John and heartfelt condolences to his family.
  7. Yeah James but take your time disassembling your mirror. I tried it but got a bit frustrated and left it. It can be done though. I think there's a video or 2 on YouTube showing how.
  8. Hi James. I had a similar issue. I too bought the mirrors with only 1 plug. The mirrors with 2 plugs are not as much available as the other ones. Look at the pictures on the sellers page before you buy the wrong one again. Hint. The top right nut is a swine to get at and remove/replace. So be ready.
  9. Oh yes they're bullet proof. Of late I've taken to red lining mine every time I drive it. Its ruddy intoxicating and so much fun aswell as a smooth refined drive. Oh and welcome to the Lexus family. Excellent car you have.
  10. Contact the seller and explain to them what you're after and about their return policy. But I'd say they won't fit as the shape is different.
  11. My only experience of 'deleting ' the egr was with a MG ZT Diesel I had some years ago. For that car there were custom made egr blanks. Basically the egr was replaced with a body that looked like an egr but it blocked what it did. I took the inlet off that car and its inners were filthy and I mean FILTHY. After cleaning it out I ran that car for 7 years and it ran like a kitten. It also had the RonBox which boosted power some 20 odd bhp. No issues what so ever with that egr blank. Oh the engine was from bmw but Rover made it better.
  12. I saw these photos on a motor based website. It's a custom NX which is going to the SEMA show in the states. To me it looks outrageously brilliant. That's me. I know it isn't to probably 95% of Lexus folks taste but I just had to post those pics. No offence meant but just to enlighten.
  13. Hi Jay. Firstly sad to learn of the sudden loss of your other half. Condolences from all of us on LOC. Wow a 27yr old LS400 in showroom condition! Please do get round to showing us some photos of it. And finally welcome to the best Lexus forum there is.
  14. Hi Paul and finally welcome to the best Lexus forum there is. Why did you take your time joining us? So this is your 5th Lexus. What were the other 4? Good of you to post pics as we all like to see each other cars.
  15. Hi Ravi and welcome to the forum. Dont bother removing the radio to install the Bluetooth adapter which plugs into the back of it. I have ML and use the Aux socket in the arm rest cubby hole and the 12v socket to. The sound I get is awesome but as with any music streaming it all depends on the original quality. To tell you how awesome it is I listen to Radio 1 drum and bass show on the BBC app. The bass is shuddering and the other frequencies are spot on. On the other hand some recordings c/o Spotify are very poor to very good. Below is my set up all from ebay. I've posted links in other threads to do with Bluetooth streaming so do go check those threads out.
  16. Check the anti squeal pads are in place, the metal piece between the pad and the caliper and that it has copper grease on it.
  17. Far too technical for me all this flac and aptx whatnot. All I know is Tocata and Fugue in D minor c/o Spotify sounds stupendous in my is250 with ML as it did in my RX I had and the second is300h all with ML and yes the windows rumble when the wick is turned up lol.
  18. I've had more cars with sunroofs than not. I think I've only ever opened one up once. As above just set the climate control and drive totally relaxed in a RX.
  19. 64 Meg stick? Why not get a 128 gig micro SD card for your phone and then Bluetooth to your radio unit? Mind you it depends on if your phone can handle a 128 or 64 but it should do.
  20. Wow that really is a no brainer. I am however surprised that the amp has given up the ghost on a 14 plate premier. What caused it to die? Was/is there a lot of condensation where the amp lives? Water ingress is sort of common especially in the series 2 IS. However under a grand for a new one is a pleasant surprise as from what I've read they're nearly twice that.
  21. Which app(s) are asking for or showing this info and are you sure that the app is reporting these things to someone or something 'out there' in a sinister sort of way, or is the app just giving you the information, in which case it's perfectly harmless? I don't know Herbie. As soon as I saw that prompt and also noticing that android auto turned On my WiFi on my phone. Now why would it want to do that? It's too much like Big Brother to me. Wow what an extract Peniole. That's enough to scare me off using theses new (ish) gizmos in cars. Just how much music do you have Peniole? I listen to Spotify in my truck for about 6 hours a day and never the same track repeated.
  22. Speed of vehicle, location, period of driving, period of being stationary just to name a few. Hope that answers your query Herbie. I dislike being spied on. Too much of it going on. For example I only have location on on my phone when I use Google maps. Oh as about Google maps. To show its a spy gizmo. I'm sick of getting 'notifications' on How was so n so's tool shop? Fact is I wasn't at so n so's tool shop. Just a true example.
  23. Most interesting point Peniole made about the connected services giving too much info such as telematics. I've never been in a car with the android auto/apple carplay until Thursday when I was in a brand new merc van. It had this treachery stuff on. I was looking for where to plumb my phone in so as to play Spotify I ended up pairing via Bluetooth but when asked to connect to android auto I thought eh up that's neat until in the process stuff like telematics and similar spying stuff I soon cancelled that and just used Bluetooth to stream music. Oh and a point about a softer ride on smaller wheels. The mondeo cars I had ran 19's and the ride was as smooth as any of the Lexus's I've had. Just a pointer. Enjoy your ES they look a really nice car.
