  1. Hi Luke. Just looked on ebay for your cars suspension. Came across a used front strut which looks exactly like the one on my is250. Read through the threads about suspension as there's a member with a is250 who's lowered his car a nice bit. I forget what he's used but cost wise is about £750 for all corners.
  2. Interesting. When I inadvertently put some in my car but with a shot of Millers petrol ecomax I noticed the complete opposite and on a run to Yorkshire my mpg was a little better. Strange.
  3. What did you notice immediately after putting some E10 in your car?
  4. Looks really clean and straight for a 22 year old car 👍
  5. Hi Lee, so you have a wire with a 3.5mm jack at one end and a USB C cable at the other. I take it you have the USB c into your phone? As for the swaying , that'll probably be the camber in the road or one of the brake calipers is sticking.
  6. Blimey WOW Texas that must have took quite some time. Ruddy well done for that. Welcome to is250 ownership and the best Lexus forum there is Lee. Out of interest what's occupying the Aux socket in your car?

    Hi!!

Hi Katherine. Ok regarding apple play. You're after a 12 plate GS450H but which Spec? The satnav on those is more than adequate as the maps are relatively up-to-date. As for streaming music why not use a Bluetooth to do that? Is the GS your after a Premier if so it'll have the Mark Levinson system which is Awsome. So try the car out as it is when you get it. Give it a good few weeks and if you still hanker for apple car play then find a car hifi shop to fit either the above item or an alternative one.

    Hi!!

Wow if that doesn't put anyone off installing that, in my opinion trash, in their GS then nothing will lol. But anyway welcome Katherine to the best Lexus forum there is. Great choice of car you're getting. So you've had big cars and small cars and fast ones too eh? Much the same as me. What were those cars then and which do you miss if at all? The one I miss most is the UR Quattro I had in the late 80's early 90's. Don't forget to post pics of your new steed when you get it. Oh, why do you want apple carplay?
  9. Hi Ben and welcome to the best Lexus forum there is. How come you've kind of gone off your super looking supra? So you've settled for a RC? Forget the 200t as it'll disappoint you compared to your Supra. An established member on here had one for a good while and basically regretted getting it. Definitely go for the RCF. That you'll not regret and make a good few of us jealous lol
  10. Personally speaking I think it's highly irresponsible for foreign travel even tho the traveller has had both jabs and proven clear of C19. As Malc stated things won't be normal for a good few years yet. The case rates are rising daily which is surprising considering how many have had both jabs But those jabs are wearing out. Here's a true example. Around 20 family members ages from 40 to 70 who have had both jabs, tested negative before a family wedding. On return to their respective homes test Positive. Now is that scary or what? Oh this is a family of a good friend of mine.
  11. Why pay for it when you can get it for free. It'll probably be the same 72hr turn around. No brainer.
  12. I thought about doing that but decided against as it'd look like a bodged job lol.
  13. Hi Af when you get the parts check that there is a like a detent shaped to accept the end of the top of the spring. If not then send them back and follow what I did. If they do have the detent then bonus. When you come to do the job make sure you have spring compressors before you start. When you've taken a wheel off 1st thing to do is see if you can undo the nut for the top arm where it joins to the hub. Mine were so tight probably rusted that I had to take the car to a garage for them to use a gas torch to heat it up then a long breaker bar. They did up the nuts again but I could undo them when I got round to do the work. Let us know how you get on.
  14. That TSHB-003 isn't suitable. I contacted a seller but not the ozzy one but a UK one selling that item that it wasn't suitable for my car. Seems it doesn't have the recess for the top of the spring to sit in. My option is the best and cheapest.
  15. Hi AF. It was only the gaitors that needed replacing as they were totally shot. No issues with anything else. The shocks themselves were almost like new. No issues with bump stops. I didn't see the FEBEST you posted on ebay when I was looking but I'll have a look because £22 for the top mount seems too cheap and is probably poor quality I'd think. Thanks for your input. I'll look for that ebay 22 quid item and report back.
  16. I find it dead easy to keep my foot off the loud pedal. I'm a professional driver by trade and let off the gas when approaching lights and slower traffic and in plenty of time. I suppose I drive it like I drove my hybrid cars.
  17. Hi Col. Yes my car passed its MOT at Lexus Stockport and last year too with those side light bulbs no problem.
  18. There's been a misconceptions about air filters. The so called performance ones tho yes let more air in but also a lot more micro particles which knacker engines. I've always used OEM filters when I did my own servicing but I've not done one myself for at least 7 years. Been to either Lexus or Ford dealers. As for why you saw a huge 5mpg difference WOW that's one helluva weird filter and I'd personally send it back.
  19. Tesco momentum 140.8p per litre I noticed when I fuelled my truck today. 155.9 is stupid greedy high
  20. Well put Lucas. Where you were wrong is naming two car manufacturers and their owners. You should have been general in your statement not specific.
  21. Hi Neil. Glad you got it sorted posting pics. Car looks sweeeeeeet. 👍
  22. Hi Jenz. Sorry to learn of your car troubles. I suggest you look in the section gen 1 IS as your car looks like the lexus is300. There you will hopefully soon find answers.
  23. I use tesco momentum only because its a mile away and on route to wherever.
  24. Kind of agree with you Tariq. As for those moded cars. Body kits Yes. Lowered suspension Yes. The camber settings on them Absolutely No. The LS with the twin duplex stick out zorsts was ridiculous 🙄. Otherwise really nice looking cars except for those square boxy looking things and the odd merc and beemer sneaking in lol. It's not right to slag off Ford and Vauxhall drivers who mod their cars with odd bolt on items not colour matched. It's the best they can do with their cash. I've seen decades of those cars and they bring a smile to my face. Your car is superb you've spent good cash on good gear to make your 250 superb so please don't slag those who do the best they can on the cheap.
  25. Hi Tariq. I'll answer you with a question. Did you ever notice a difference between fuels from different outlets last year? That's the answer to your question.
