  1. Strange that different areas have their own isolated fuel problems. I've had no issues at all. My local tesco never ran out of fuel even through the sheite that's gone on the past fortnight. I've fuelled my truck every day to at motorway fuel stations and at stations in Denbighshire, Conway, and along the A55. As stated it's the morons who like sheep follow other morons and fill their vehicles causing massive Q's.
  2. I'm surprised Lexus UK hasn't picked up on this totally unusual and unexpected occurrence so they can do a full investigation. Until Rayaans posted the problem I'd never heard of such an occurrence and being a former semi pro car hifi designer and installer (80's and 90's) I'm personally disappointed in Lexus for being rather blazeè (can't spell that word lol) about it and giving Free diagnostics.
  3. Yeah but a 12 plate is OK with E10 and their mi d was probably elsewhere lol
  4. Hi AF. Photos of the gaitors you bought would have been great. Hope you found d the job of replacing them quite easy. How were the bottom strut bolts, did you loosen them easily?
  5. Not impressed with that strat. To me it's no comparison to the White strat associated with Ritchie Blackmore. Got bored reading about the blue one, stopped after the video
  6. Probably not been bought yet as it's over priced even for an 11 plate.
  7. Gawdnbennet yes I remember seeing them advertised on TV donkeys years ago. Don't think they lasted long as I don't think they worked that well.
  8. So it's missed a few years of servicing at a Lexus dealer. At the end of the day its an old car with very few miles on it for its age. It's probably had a service or three at a small independent garage that didn't stamp the service book etc. Best you actually go see the car and test drive it. Its probably a really good car and worth the trip to get it.
  9. Highway Star. Deep Purple. Nuff sed
  10. WTF. That's bloody outrageous and that fuel station needs boycotting.
  11. Hi Paul. Re the 07 plate car. Phone the dealer up and ask them for the Variant and Version numbers. One of these numbers and the cars registration number are needed to register it on the Lexus website where once done you can check if the car has a full or part or none at all dealer service history. Plus it'll show you all other work done (whilst at a lexus dealer)
  12. That ground loop protector only works with some bluetooth adapters. I bought one when I bought my current BT adapter and it was horrendous. My BT adapter has been in use a year now with no issues. I've posted in a few threads what I bought so it may be worth a search as I can't remember which thread's.
  13. If we're talking favourite cars then I personally have 3 most favourite and equal status. Rover 216 vitesse, Audi UR Quattro, Metro 1.3s. Why these three? Coz I had such great fun in these cars, had the Quattro 7 years it was stolen recovered twice. Other favourite cars Rover 3500 vanden plas, 2.7 vitesse, 2.5 sterling, 2.0 turbo vitesse, MG ZT diesel, maestro, montego. The cars I had in my 20's to early 40's were my favourites. After that the cars were more for function but they too were fun up to a point.
  14. It's an Iveco 7.2 ton which is van based but can carry just over 3.75 tons which is more than a standard 7.5 ton can carry. Great little trucks which gets to parts class 2 and 1 have no chance to.
  15. Probably. Tho I must admit that fir a good number if weeks the service light was on the dash which I duly reported daily. However on a very rare early finish day I thought I'd use the oil dip stick. Oh I thought after seeing the very low mark on the stick. So about 3 or so litres later mark where it should be and low and behold the service light gone out. When I chatted with that mechanic he said oil changes happen when that light comes on the dash. Looks like it's the driver who er does the oil service lol.
  16. Blimey I got that pic sent to me hours ago lol
  17. I don't know if it's profiteering but I'd say more like taking the wee wee. I went to my local tesco to fill up as I was on 1/4 tank, I was expecting to Q up. I pass an esso on the way it looked quite empty but I noticed the pump nozzles mostly had those plastic covers on them saying no fuel. Had to admit I felt oh shyite coz if esso was dry what about tesco? Well I got there and the entrance was blocked off with an arrow sign stating FUEL. I drove past and into the back way and around the kiosk where I saw about 10 cars queuing. Ok not bad at all really I thought but I noticed they were at the left bank of pumps so I went to the right where the two pumps were in use but I was next. Happy days. £65 of momentum later I'm on my way and still at 140.9 a litre.
  18. Yes I wonder too. I know my truck hasn't had an oil service yet but I also know 3 times so far I've topped up with about 3 litres each time. Weird how my truck doesn't produce smoke and pulls rather well.
  19. Hi Scott. I take it you're not in the UK as your narrowed down car list is none UK availability new. is350 all the way is my recommendation. Good luck in your search.
  20. That's excellent news Sam, hopefully you'll see your missus soon. Common sence at last at that petrol station. Others should show some too.
  21. My truck is about 18 months old now and on 82k miles. Today one of the mechanics came to take one of the trucks for a service. I asked about how often oil changes should take place. He replied at about 100k miles. I said WHAT? 100k miles? Are you joking? He wasn't. He said it's a new oil (well its been out about 4 years) that lasts and lasts. Can you imagine changing your car engine oil every 100k miles? I certainly can't. Not even in a diesel car.
  22. I go to my local tesco to fill up my 7.5t truck every day. Blimey there was a ruddy Q, about 9 cars in front of me. WTF I thought, bloody idiots. Bog roll syndrome again. I'm in Rochdale. Only 1 pump was down, momentum but only the one pump but that's been down nearly 2 weeks. I'm gonna go there in the morning as I'm on 1/4 tank. Bloody media spreading utter shyte yet again and Pillocks who fall for it. Sheeesh.
  23. Did your car have halogen lights or the HID ones?
  24. Eh up, I think I missed something in your thread Lucas. What are those headlights on your car? What did they replace and how do they compare?
