  1. Hi Graeme. Shame about the Bolton car. Re back bumper. If it looks like where the front of it meets the wing then more than likely the mount lug is broken but easy fix. Someone on here has recently posted about front bumper not fitting right. Rear calipers from euro car parts are between 65 and 105 each. Not original but Pagid brand and I use their discs and pads no issues at all. Condensation is a normal bugger on our cars.
  2. If that cars at the BOC car centre in Bolton then it more than likely is a guddun. I've bought from there and the car was mint, MG ZT (yes I miss that car but hey ho) and friends have bought from there too. They've been in business over 40 years that I know of. Car looks really nice and a SE-L.
  3. Beautiful engineering on your car their Steve. Shame the video of the car driving was in the wet, one would ders if the tyres let go like that in the dry lol. Weird how it doesn't sound like a six potter must be a bad sound recording. More pics would be nice.
  4. Hi Donk and welcome to Lexus ownership and the best Lexus forum there is. Yes you're right. Lots of knowledgeable owners on here. What jobs are you going to do on your new steed? What made you go for the LS460 apart from it being a beast of a car?
  5. That's a niiiiice sounding zorst Sam. Me thinks you should post a few pics of your car whilst on the ground.
  6. Yeah probably Sam. But I see your 2 silencers are connected dead straight to each others whilst Lucas's car silencers are connected way towards the front of the car. Makes me wonder if that's beneficial or detrimental to gas flow how yours are.
  7. How much ground clearance is there between the exhaust and the ground samplify? There seems to be very little from your photo.
  8. I'm sure Lucas you'll talk her into it 😉 Great photos by the way 👍
  9. I've just remembered it was the last programme where they did the V12 XJS. Find that programme and it'll tell you the place that did the plastic stuff.
  10. Have you not thought of getting your mirror covers 'chrome ' plated? Car SOS found a place that plates plastic with a mirror finish and lacquers after. Looks amazing. That ebay item has a very misleading way of saying the cover is for nearside only. Look up something like finishers and find somewhere that finishes plastic.
  11. I read his advert for that car and it stated MOT'd till Feb 23. So how was the car? Is he still on a plot of land very close to an old mill which I believe is going through a major refit into flats shops etc and a dodgy looking small garage at the bottom of the whole plot?
  12. So you got yours from there Marky and you at your own cost had to sort out a few minor problems. That's ok But the car I got was in its 5th month of extended MOT due to covid etc. I was blind to that, my stupidly. Booked mine in with Lexus Stockport for a service and MOT but they phoned me and said they'd Not MOT it as they'd have to fail it for a weeping/leaking shock absorber. I phoned the seller numerous times before I got through and his response was that he wasn't interested and wouldn't cover the costs or even partially cover them. So my car cost me a further near £600. What else has it cost me? £200 to get rid of as many of the thousands of scratches on it. Other than that fuel and the cost of a service plan. Overall my car is brilliant after I sorted it.
  13. Thanks Steve. Pure coincidental timing eh? That must have been a rarity.
  14. If you're going to Super One Traders be very very careful. I got my car from him during the time there was a 6 month extension on MOT'S. The car you are going to see is Silver 58 plate yes? It's MOT runs out on the 22nd of THIS month. My car was in a similar MOT position but I fell into the trap of glazed eyes. DONT buy that car without it having a FULL 12 month MOT. Oh I had to buy and get fitted 2 new rear shock absorbers and he wasn't interested one bit. You have been warned and in time hopefully.
  15. I had one for 24 hours when my is250 was in fir service. Yes I drove it like I stole it as you do lol. When I gave the car back they asked me if I'd like to know what my mog was like. Oh feck I thought. Over 38 miles ish I was on 47/48% on battery and averaged 50mpg. So basically if I drove 'normally ' and sensibly I'd have reckoned I'd have achieved near 60 mpg and more than 50% on EV .
  16. Weird happenings. I seem to have started this thread yet their are two posts apparently posted before I started this thread. Would the forum organisers care to comment. Is the same happening here as is happening on the Lexus website for service history?
  17. Cazoo, Carwow, Cinch. And another car selling company comes along But specialising in one brand of car. Oh dear. How laughable at Toyota and how to lose respect in a company.
  18. Why don't you keep the Honda and keep using it. Get that is200 and look at treating any rust issues and any other issues that car may have. It's an unfortunate fact that buying an old car is a lottery no matter what car it is. You pays your mo ey and takes your chances as the saying goes. Take a mechanic friend with you to see that car on ebay for a 2nd pair of eyes and his k knowledge. Is this car a private sale or from a dealer? All the best in your search for an is200. Oh have you considered the is250?
  19. Re the UXe. This programme did a comparison test between the UXe and the Audi A4 electric. Weird comparison because the Audi is so much bigger. Anyway taking g both cars around a race track the Audi did a reasonable time. The Lexus? OMG it couldn't complete a lap. Half way round it went into half power. Into the puts Mr Plato goes. The techies couldn't find a fault code and suggested the batteries over heated. Let them cool down and try again. Ok. Cooled down and OMG couldn't do a lap. Now don't get me wrong as I totally love the UX but I'm gobsmacked why the electric one failed to complete a lap at a race speed. Thing is if I had an electric UX I'd drive it as I drove the loan UX250h. Like I stole it lol. Range wouldn't bother me simply because if you 'race' a petrol or diesel car your fuel economy and range take a nose dive. Have any of you UXe owners had issues with your cars and a sudden drop in power for no apparent reason?
  20. Excellent Scotty video. But actually very informative. Best one yet showing condition of the spark plugs.
  21. Personally I'd have got a newer is250. I've had 2 is300h both premiers and my is250 beats them both in all but fuel economy. But anyway enjoy your new steed when you get it.
  22. Oh and regarding the buttons on the left being 'closed'. The buttons are the touch ones on the screen as they are covered by the surround which comes with the android unit. The physical buttons on the left operate the unit as it should be operated. Hope that makes sense and clarifies things. I'll be ordering the kit In the next few months.
  23. This was the reply I got but as such doesn't make sense to me.
