  1. Car looks superb Glyn. I usually don't like that kind of wheel but on your car they're bob on 👍
  2. Wow 89 quid just looked. Ruddy bargain. SWE-815 it is (nearly right before lol)
  3. Hi Sean. I'm assuming you live East of Leeds. M62 then M1 but only for about a mile then the M621. Anyway you gotta here. Hope you had a good visit and it was worth the trip.
  4. Lucas as for an aftermarket sub I'm suspecting you were after a 10" 12" or 14" sub. Then yes a fair bit of trouble. However the Alpine 815sw is a self powered 8" boxed sub which I can tell you nearly had the rear windows out of a mk3 focus and 2 mk4.5 mondeos I had. Dead simple to wire. Just needs a signal a ignition feed to start the amp and a 12v fused supply. Small yet ruddy mighty. Food for thought. And yes Radio 1 drum n bass show played very very well on the very very lows.
  5. Excellent news and thanks for letting us know 👍
  6. Lucas since you've already has sub issues and sorted them with replacements. I can't remember if you investigated your amp. I'm assuming the amp has a separate sub output. If that's the case then adding a separate sub should be easy as the sub signal is there and also an amp trigger 12v supply. I must look at mine out of curiosity.
  7. Well done Mike a job well done and explained especially about the fuses used. That's what wound me up a bit when I did mine.
  8. Yes Colin. Not all clear coatings are suitable because they can cause distortion of light pattern. I've got some dedicated lacquer from Maguires ordered but it's not available here but in America. The Autoglym polish supplied has a UV protective within it but only 6 months to a year protection. More than long enough for the Maguires stuff to arrive.
  9. Colin. How would one find out the specification of the speakers in a ML system when upon inspection of such speaker there are no indicators at all? I've looked at mine with a view to renew but there again my home speakers are over 40 years old and still sound class 1.
  10. WOW that's pushing snobbery to a new level lol.
  11. That's good then Rico. The new bulbs should cure the problem. Remember though. Be very very careful handling zenon bulbs. Look at videos on YouTube on how to change zenon bulb lexus is220d. If no results then try is250.
  12. I'm sure when I had a RX450H I phoned my local toyota dealer and asked them how much for a 60k service (think it was a 60k and I know it was for spark plugs too). They came back to me and apologised that they couldn't quote for me. As for my is250 if I remember and out of interest I'll contact them again and see what they'd quote. Toyota dealer a 20 minute walk away. Lexus dealer a 25 minute drive (but I do get a spanking new Lexus to get home and free breakdown cover 🙂)
  13. Beam image. Yes upside down bulb. Worn out bulb. How do the lenses of the headlight look? Do they look crystal clear and the chrome shines inside the headlight or are the headlight lenses kind of dull looking and the chrome behind looks dull? Look on YouTube about renovating headlights and compare your headlights to those you see on YouTube. Dull lenses can affect bulb output and pattern and beam image.
  14. I think you'll be talking about a Rinse Aid. There's plenty of that kind of stuff out there. Car wash places use gallons of the stuff. Dishwasher rinse aid is the same stuff. Shed loads of that available. Personally I don't see the point of it. Rinse then dry. Simple.
  15. I'm not sure if anyone has posted similar. It's a known fact that the headlights on Lexus cars, the older ones lol, go let's say murky. Green looking etc. I've had to replace the passenger side headlight last year as it was letting in water. The replacement even though 2nd hand looks brand new and put the drivers side headlight to shame. Anyway today I spent just under an hour renovating mine. I used the Autoglym headlight renovation kit. It's actually very good but I think it could use a more course paper as 1st pass. When I got my is250 the headlights had a black film on them with loads of holes to let the light out. Had them taken off but over time the residue of them kind of embedded into the plastic housing and no amount of washing could remove. The 1st photo clearly shows what I mean. The 2nd photo is end result. Not mint as there are a myriad of internal scratch looking marks.
  16. Yes very similar indeed. Those are the sub speakers. The ML has 2 more speakers nearer the rear window. Anyway I'm sure you're going to thoroughly enjoy your 350. Looking forward to the thread about it on here.
  17. Well that's a pity about the 350 not having ML. Since your 250 has is there a difference between the two on the rear shelf? That's where the sub speakers are. I'm surprised that there's not much difference between ML and none ML cars. I've had 2 is300h premium. Identical cars but oh so different. The ML in the first was rubbish compared to the second one which was superb. Looking forward to reading your 350 posts.
  18. Open Ampera? We had the Vauxhall Ampera and that was a hybrid which actually went like poo of a shovel. Engine drove the wheels.
  19. Does it have ML system? I don't do Instagram or facebook etc. You should post on here as your posts will be read with great intrigue.
  20. I believe horse meat is really nice. Never tried it though. I have however had Aligator, Buffalo and Snake a good few decades ago. A one of a kind restaurant in Manchester which had all kinds of exotica and cocktails galore. Weird how it closed after just a year or so. I'll pass on the horse steaks thanks.
  21. Ah the Armouries. That's not bad. Actually very close to Crown Point shopping centre. Think there's a good car park at the Armouries if memory serves.
