    I couldn't believe a post on the Goodwood YouTube page notifying of the sad passing of Ken Block. I checked on Google and yes. Due to a snow mobile accident Ken Block lost his life. What a guy. R.I.P Ken and thanks for the stunts and the driving antics you did over the years.

    I found this video. It's the only one I've seen where our gearboxes fitted to our cars is totally stripped showing all the pieces that make up the gearbox. I found it fascinating and an eye opener. Nothing seen where particles can block oilways that I can make out.

    I've never been a fan of Redex products. Can't remember what happened but a motorcycle at the time needed a repair after it was used. Put me and friends off for life.

    I don't have any proof it works Bill. Only the words from specialist auto gearbox service and repair garages. Sorry but what you, it looks copy and pasted, is just an opinion. The only proof a flush works or not is by looking at a gearbox before it's flushed and by that I mean its stripped and after a flush when it's done a few thousand miles.

    There's been too much negatively regarding flushing an automatic gearbox. Don't flush because it'll knacker the gearbox. My question is Where Is The Proof? I've talked with specialists who work on gearboxes on Porche BMW Ferrari Rolls Royce etc etc and they advocate flushing.

    Hi Paul. A question. Are you happy with the sound the ML system in your GS? What car are you looking for? The thing with ML not all cars with it sound like they should. I've had 2 identical is300h with ML. 1st one sounded ****. The 2nd superb. The ML in a RX I had was superb. My current is250 with ML sounds superb. Take a favourite CD with you when you see a car for test drive and listen. If you like it then job done.

    Hi Dan. Your headlight issue. Easy. Polish them. Look on YouTube how to renovate headlights and save yourself a few hundred quid. Welcome to Lexus ownership

    I'd get the alternator checked. It may not be charging the battery and the battery itself might be on its last legs.

    Hello Daniel and welcome to Lexus ownership and the best Lexus forum there is. I take it your ES is your first hybrid car. Am I correct your previous car was an automatic? Why I ask is because of your statement saying its noisy when you floor it. Wasn't your previous car noisy when you floored that? From what I've read the ES suppresses noise exceptionally well. As John said above. Enjoy your car. Don't compare it to another totally different type of car. You have Takumi spec so you've got the very top of the range so enjoy the Mark Levinson sound system. Turn it up a bit and you'll not hear the engine when you floor it.

    I've done some research and found 3 companies that were recommended by the American Lexus Owners Club site. Vialle have gone bust. GTI are more into used cooking oil. Prinns are still in business and clearly state not doable on direct injection though they are still in research and development on it but they are USA located. Hope you find this information useful.

    Linas is correct. Plus the availability of LPG is becoming scarse. A friend of mine with a RX350 with LPG has noticed that places selling LPG are getting less and less and its price is getting dearer too. If you're after economy why did you go for the is250 even though its capable of 40mpg?

    Well I checked the Lexus website in My Lexus and no sign of any recall for anything. Was surprised that the water pump was replaced at 47k miles in 2014.

    That looks familiar. It slides up, let's call it a, a channel on the battery housing case call it what you will on the +ve side. Like I said previously it's best to have battery out so you can manipulate the casing.

    Airbag recall. Really? Wow. Do you know what they did? The point where headlights stay on. My 07 SE-L the headlights stay On after I've switched the engine off. They go Off once I open the door. To connect your phone, is it android or iPhone?, you go into settings on the satnav screen. I suggest you look on YouTube (pairing phone on is250). Much simpler to watch than read a looooong message.
