  1. Hi John. Got mine from ebay. Just had a look but the ones I got that sale has ended. However there are more sellers. Around £8 for 2.
  2. Hi John. I don't think you can adjust them. I replaced one which it's spray pattern was low.
  3. Hi Peter. The plug cleaned up really well. However the socket pins are shot I think and can't be cleaned properly hence the need of replacing. As for depressurisation and bleeding. I've watched a few YouTube videos about ABS pump replacing and none mentioned about pressure in the system. They just undid the hydraulic pipes normally. My thought now is to get a used unit and find a garage to do the fitting.
  4. Has anyone had their ABS pump replaced? Did you do it yourself? I'd like to do it myself but the one thing that puts me off is removing the brake hydraulic lines from the body and brake fluid spewing everywhere. Why do I want to replace mine? Look below. Corrosion due to water ingress and giving me the dreaded VCS and ABS dash lights with codes c0274 and c0273. There's a few used ones on ebay but it's only the bit where the multiplug socket is. No amount of cleaning as best as one could clears the fault plus a couple ofvthe connector pins are bent and I think one missing. So if I remove the hydraulic lines will I lose a lot of fluid? I know a full brake system bleed would need to be done but being on my own I'm thinking that'll be a tall order.
  5. Ah your cars sockets are horizontal. Makes a difference to those who have vertical ones. Shallow mount power adapter and 90° USB adapter required.
  6. Hi David. My back is back to normal but I've lost the energy I had Been back in work 4 weeks now on lighter duties. 00.30 starts to unload 2 trailers and load 2 class 2 trucks and 3 7.5t trucks so basically hard physical work not light duties lol. I've learnt that Google owns Waze. Saw a review about the two and both work well but Google maps overall is better. Same car on the same long route using both maps by the way. Personally I use tomtom if I need route guideness after I've checked Google for road situations.
  7. Nice Post Andrej. However I'm not sure where the Aux socket is in a GS or where a USB socket is for power. Ideally you need to post a photo of its installation for others to see. In the is250 for example more has to be bought. I've posted there how I did mine and provided a photo.
  8. Conspiracies. Don't you just luv 'em 🤣
  9. Have a look at Brakes International. They have a very large customer base and very very reasonable prices.
  10. Yes Malc this IS a Lexus forum. It has however a section to input none car related subjects. So basically the administration of this forum has either changed or has new members who are 'strict ' in what can be posted. So much for free speech eh!
  11. Antony. The word came from Administration not me.
  12. The thread was taken off by the Administration because they received too many complaints. I contacted them asking why they took my thread down. Unfortunately, due to several complaints about some of the topic content, the post has been locked and hidden until we can find a resolution to the disputes. That was their reply to my email to them.
  13. As stated above. Only techstream or one helluva expensive scan tool will read All codes. Yes check condition of wheel bearings. What you could do initially is disconnect the battery for 45 minutes. This kind of resets the ECU and 9 times out of 10 clears all codes. The 1 time is when there is definitely a fault. Look on ebay for a copy of techstream.
  14. Malc they've been trying to capture the CO2 cows emit for quite some time. But it's basically an impossible task unless all cows lived indoors only and that ain't ever gonna happen. Don't you worry. Your LS700 is not that far away.
  15. Yes Linas there was a bit of negatively towards the e-fuel only thing. Those opposing it came up with things like, what you said, how will it work? They mentioned that it could be like VW's diesel gate malarkey. That people with the E-fuel car would simply fill up with Petrol. Oh how stupid of folk slagging off a ruddy good idea because they didn't think of it.
  16. Hello None? Welcome to the best Lexus forum there is. The used car market is quite on the expensive side. 30k for that particular ISF is a little steep but it's a fabulous car. Look in the dedicated F section of the forum. There you'll find owners only too happy to advise and help you.
  17. Hello Eloise and welcome to the best Lexus forum there is and to Lexus ownership. Regarding the tyre pressure sensor. If one is faulty, probably flat battery, it makes sense to do all four. It's a job as the tyre has to come off the wheel. Have a look in the GS section of the forum. Dedicated to owners like you. Lots of helpful owners in there. Oh and we like to see photos of new members cars.
  18. Hello Phillip and welcome to the best Lexus forum there is and to the world of the RX. What made you go for the RX? Coming from a 3.0l jag was an interesting move. What kind of service history does your RX have? We like to see pics of new members cars hint hints. I'm sure you know of the dedicated RX section of the forum. Some very clever and decent folk in there. I use to have the RX. Mine was F-sport. Cracking car and only sold it because of finance troubles I had at the time.
  19. Regarding swapping the battery. You'll have to reprogram the windows. Operate each window individually using its own button. Keep the button continuously for both down and up operation. Once all 4 have been done then all 4 can be operated by the master switch and one touch operation will be restored. The sunroof may need doing to but I've never used mine. The clock will need resetting and possibly the radio. Make sure you have the code for the radio. If not then have a 'donkey' 12v battery and connect it in parallel on the connectors not on the battery. Hope that makes sense.
  20. Out of curiosity. Did you have any lights on your dash? May be wise to test the alternator and check for a parasitic drain.
  21. That's good then. One thing to check. The PCV valve. How many miles on your car? A faulty PCV valve can cause similar issues. It's very awkward to check. You could check the condition of the throttle body butterfly valve. Just take off the air pipe going to it and see how dirty or not the chamber is. DO NOT move the butterfly valve until you've either disconnected the battery or the multiplug on the throttle body itself.
  22. Hi Simonas and welcome to the best Lexus forum there is. Regards your issue. No harm in cleaning the MAF sensor with a dedicated spray. What kind of fuel do you use? How does your car drive? Is it sluggish? Do you get any smoke from your exhaust? If your car drives normally then disconnect your battery and leave it disconnected for 45 minutes. Re connect the battery and see if the warning lights appear on the dash. If they don't then all good. If they reappear after a short time then use a fuel additive like Millers Oils petrol ecomax. It cleans injectors and the fuel system and peps up the petrol.
