  1. Or use a product called ZX1. I've used it on all my cars.
  2. Most car seat bolsters show signs of wear. How to stop it is by regular cleaning and conditioning. Another way to help reduce the wear is to adjust your seat back before you get out. When you get back in adjust back to where you have it. My car does it automatically and also the steering wheel goes in. This makes it much easier to get in and out and lessens the chance of wear on the bolster. Since your car shows signs now of wear I suggest you buy a good quality car seat leather cleaner and conditioner. I use Autoglym but it has to be for a car as car leather is different to house sofa leather.
  3. Wow owning a car with bad brakes for 5 years? You must be really tolerable. If you're looking at a 2014 car then it'll be the 3rd generation IS which is a superb car in any guise. I'd say the new car will have much better brakes. What's stopping you taking one out for a test drive? In the meantime have you never had your brakes checked?
  4. It''s more likely bolted in place. YouTube it. I think you'll find how to do it.
  5. Blimey £1000 for an amp! I spent less than that in my previous car and it's sound trounced the ML I have. Glad you got it finally sorted. Now enjoy.
  6. A workmate had the same dilemma. He looked at all the options and found that the actual cheapest option was to buy brand new. Reason. New cars are cheaper to repair hence cheaper to insure. Example. Brand new corsa was 2000 to insure. An 8 year old corsa was nearly 4000 to insure. Insurance cost was more than the car was to buy. The choice of car is vast. Good luck lol
  7. I'm' on my 2nd is300h and this one I'm in is so far better in every way than my previous one of a year ago. Both cars exact same spec and colour but that one was underpowered in all aspects. This one however is a dream and fulfills it''s 226bhp. I'm wondering if your car is a rogue like my previous one. I know for a fact my previous mondeo is quicker faster than the is200t as I regularly raced one which a friend had. He got rid of his and got a mondeo like I had.
  8. Blimey Paulmx have you actually floored your is300h from a standstill in sport mode? I do regularly and it feels as fast/quick as my last car (2.0 litre turbo petrol 240 bhp)
  9. Quite possibly Roy. You may well have a very valuable point there Michael. Maybe HJ has smelt money But that may mean he''s cooking the numbers. Those numbers I hope really do come from genuine folk but as we're human I suppose some mistakes can occur.
  10. The drivers seat in my car had very bad dirt marks embedded in the slight cracks within the leather. Stockport lexus didn't clean the seat before I bought it. I tolerated it for a few months till I bought auto glym clean and protect kit. This stuff shifted the crud and nourished the leather and the seat was as new. I followed the instructions but used too much of the cleaner and it took a lot of getting it off with a damp cloth. Superb stuff and a bargain I wear work pants and jeans and neither leave a colour behind on my cream seats.
  11. I too find that honest John figure untrue. My previous car was a Ford Modeo titanium x sport ecoboost. 2.0 litre and it''s average fuel consumption was in the very low 30's at best. Comedians links look more realistic and now I have doubts about honest John figures.
  12. Mmmmmmmm groundhog day. I know I've seen that 'review' via Google and word for word too.
  13. Looks really good on the grey car. Miles better than standard. Well done.
  14. Looks about right lol
  15. Wow 700 for a rear lexus spoiler fitted and painted! Well I've said it once about lexus and I'll say it again. They should call their 'shops' I Saw You Coming. Lip spoilers are 10 a penny and a lot of them are good quality. I've had them in the past and I'd guess at today' s prices about a ton to paint and fit, maybe a ton n half. But again Rayaans well found.
  16. Baxlin does your car have the same grill as Chunky's? After a deeper look at the advance grill posted then on that grill there isn't a place to put a sensor unless a made to fit sensor fitment was fabricated which would be a helluva expense. As I stated Chunky. They did a great job and if there's only an inch or two blind spot then that's brilliant. The sensors fitted to your car must be better than lexus ones. I have front and back and camera on my premier premium.
  17. Good pic well found Rayaans. Nice and subtle spoiler really works and may be on the cards for my car.
  18. Exactly Andrew. I'd take the car back to lexus for an explanation/excuse. Let us know how you get on.
  19. I'd really like to see a 3rd gen IS300H wirh a boot spoiler. Think a Google search is on the agenda. I can see one making the car look even better.
  20. They'e done a great job but the centre 2 are in the wrong place. Why didn't they fit the front facing sensors in the grill where they are as standard fitment ?
  21. Well put there Gang. Your post reminded me about a company I used to deliver to in Sheffield. Can' remember their name but in essence what they do is make equipment that takes out the hydrogen in air and water and use that hydrogen to make electricity. They even have a car charging dock which they said is free to use. The stuff they make is the size of a big container and they cost around £1 million. I think hydrogen power will come before the solid state batteries. I saw that lamborghini are going g to make a new flagship car to replace the murchelago. It will be hybrid. This is a damn good thread.
  22. When the day comes that all cars are electric cars the charging of them will be of the wireless type that's available today with mobile phones for instance. That day however is a long long way off because the replacement of the lithium batteries (which I have read they're being worked upon) is a good while off. This new battery will hold more charge and it'll charge up very quickly too without sapping the national grid. I'm no expert but where it matters I take a big interest and read the articles related to this subject.
  23. Nice. It'l look rather tasty with tinted rear glass.
  24. Hi Billy. Glad you're enjoying your car. They are a superb car and I enjoy mine every time I drive it.
