  1. Think I'll have to get that app. My car has had only 3 services according to the service book. 1st at 5.5k miles then nothing till 34.2k miles 3 1/2 years later. Did that put me off buying my car? Like billiow. My car runs sweet.
  2. Hi. Is there any whiring sound from the motor when you try to operate it? Are there any plasticy grinding noises or any other kind? If not then it's new mirror motor time.
  3. Excellently put Erik. The car I was waiting to pick up was the RX450h and I had a play with the hL in the showroom. My wife didn' reckon on it and even the sales guy agreed about the rear 2 seats. Funnily I was considering the Galaxy but didn't like the boot area. Just looked Un finished. Hope you're enjoying your car as much as I am mine.
  4. Thanks Rayaans. One wonders if by some electronic wizardry a rev counter can be put in the 3rd generation RX.
  5. I wouldn't bother with blind spot gizmos. Iv'e had 4 cars with it and it's rubbish. The mirrors are more than good enough and having good wide angle vision helps too.
  6. Hi and welcome to the forum. Whilst I was picking up my car last week I looked at the 7 seater in the showroom. To be honest I thought it not very good due to the entry for the rear 2 seats. Maybe I mucked up moving the 3 seat. Anyway enjoy your car. Mines a F Sport which replaced a newer IS300h premier but it has everything it had less BLIS and rev counter.
  7. OK Josh. I see what you want to do. I think you'd rather have your car satnav display show what you want it to show and not have to use your phone or external satnav. I don't blame you for that, I'd be the same. As for your query I can't help but I wish you well in your quest to upgrade your satnav system.
  8. There's no problem what so ever Robin. The problem only occurs when tyres are different on the same axle. In 30 + cars I've had only 2 had all 4 tyres the same. Always matching tyres on the same axle.
  9. Oh! Does the 4th generation RX have a rev counter?
  10. My RX450h will cruise at 40mph on batteries alone for a few miles. As for economy. I can't see the point in buying a RX450h and being concerned about its mpg. I got mine coz it looks good. Has the ML and seats my family excellently. Fuel economy doesn't come into it. Ok I only use it at weekends but so what.
  11. Don't blame you. Premier looks naff compared to F Sport.
  12. What is it you're actually after doing? What is it you want to introduce and why?
  13. That's weird. I've just got to this post and farted. What a coincidence.
  14. As above. A great job done there. It'll help others in the future.
  15. I second what Sorcerer states. For anyone with a car 10 years or older then even a Toyota garage is just about half what Lexus charge.
  16. Thanks Rayaans. My steering wheel doesn't have an extra button so hey how no adaptive cruise on mine.
  17. Well I found out where the trip meters are today. I will read the handbook. Oh Colin it was Leeds Lexus I bought the car from. They didn't know what the shift lock button was.
  18. Thanks Colin you are a true Gent and quite possibly a moderator? As for the 'button' thanks for that too. Mmmmmm you got me thinking. I do remember a small rectangular piece in the centre console with a slot in it. I did wonder what that was.
  19. A big thanks to whoever corrected the title of my thread. Yes I've read that the F sport could have adaptive cruise but I'll have to read my handbook whilst I'm off this week. One thing I'm knocked out with is just how good the EV is. Much better than the IS. It moves off quicker compared to my IS. Yeah shame about no rev counter. Gonna miss that. Just totally love the V6 rumble. The satnav is the same as I had in my IS and I'm still learning it lol. Can someone tell me what the Shift Lock button next to the gear shift lever is please. The dealer didn' know.
  20. Yes Steve I've just seen it. Dam small keyboard on my phone. Not sure how to edit tho. I've looked at the dash settings but in the RX there doesn't seem to be a setting. My IS300H did.
  21. Well ive not long picked up my 62 plate (registered Feb 2013) RX450h and am loving it as much as the IS300h I part ex"d. I know I'll have a few questions to ask those of you with the same car. Mines the f sport with a stunning ML system. Am I correct in saying there isn't a rev counter just that eco clock? The EV mode mullers that of the IS. Does my car have adaptive cruise control? I've yet to read the owners handbook. Thanks in advance for any replies.
  22. Well Rayans maybe a turnaround but not so. I've read my posts and made mistakes within. Phoned today and finance sorted so Saturday I'll be in the beast. It' had its 40k service this February but not showing as had the hybrid health check so Leeds is doing one for me gratis. I know I'll have questions on it but I'll ask them in the RX forum.
  23. Thought I'd update and eat some humble pie. I was on my way with the kids and wife to try out a couple of BMW''s but had to pass the lexus garage. Whilst passing I noticed that the RX450H I tested 2 weeks ago was still there so I called in. Well the humble pie is because grand daughters seat and grandson and daughter fitted in the back seat and there was plenty of room. They loved it. So I'm waiting for a call to confirm finance.
  24. I'm a truck driver and of late I've seen quite a few S type teslas and actually in all 3 lanes of our clogged up motorways. When I bought my IS300H there was a stunning LC500 there. We talked about that beauty. Salesguy said that he had numerous enquiries about the 500h from tesla owners. Interesting.
  25. By gum this thread has gone madly serious. I've loved tesla cars since the model S was introduced. A fabulous car with loads of luggage space and a proper 5 seater. Why I'd not have one? A good few reasons. Where I've lived and live now. Having an electric car at a terraced house in an area not so nice is a no no. Imagine having the charge wire be g snapped off by the local yobs. Living in a 3rd floor apartment. Enough said. Now I'm in a lovely quiet location in a bungalow but my car parking spot is outside of my garden fence. A charge lead would have to be about 20 foot or more long. Could be a lot shorter mind if a power source was put in the shed (mmmmmm that thought has just occurrd and given me an idea) Anyway electric cars are great but can only be owned by folk living in nice housing estates. Those with semis and gardens. Not council estates even tho the new ones are really nice (my daughter lives in one and it even has solar panels and front and back garden and shed But some neighbours are rough) and there in is a point. Certain areas of our wonderful land is occupied by a not nice crowd. Those areas won't have electric cars coz they'd not last long compared to a normal car. I know what I'm talking about coz I've lived in those areas for the 1st 30 years of my life. I like the look of the new model 3. However I love my is300h and for me it whoops ***** compared to most cars.
