  1. You will Always pay over the odds buying from a lexus dealer. I can't comment on that asking get price but my 2013 62 plate f sport with ML and 38.5k miles for 25k. That was since June. However if the dealer can't shift the car then they'll drop the price. My previous is300h was up for 22.5k now it's a nats over 19k.
  2. Thanks John and Mac. Very good info. Will look into charges for belt changes. Any good garage can do those. And I mean good garages. I trust kwikfit leeds. They did multi belt change in my previous mondeo using genuine parts and very reasonable price.
  3. Thanks for your replies guys. Much appreciated. Nice one Rayaans as I didn't know hybrid health check was included. Reading other threads/posts led me to believe the contrary.
  4. Got a call from Lexus Stockport saying my car was due it's service. I told them I swapped it for a RX450h but would be using get them for servicing. I gave them the cars reg and they came back with since in February next year (when service is due) the car will be 6 years old the service will cost £745. I said hang on I know that's the 60k mile service but the replied yes but it's either or which ever comes first. I'm reluctant to go ahead with that costly service But if the knowledgeable of you recommend it then I'll go ahead even tho my cars just gone past 41k miles. I was looking at just getting the essential service with hybrid health check. I wonder what you folk think.
  5. I can assure you this 14 stone body of mine finds the seats in my F Sport series 3 RX very comfortable.
  6. As above. S Max all the way either the 240 horse petrol or 240 horse diesel which is unbelievable. Looks are superb too in sport trim.
  7. Sorted and way over my head nowadays.
  8. Mmmmmmmm interesting Colin. In my 45 years of car ownership and having fiddled with all of them and have pro mechanic friends I've never heard till now that each electric system has its own ECU. The most general use of ECU is purely for the Engine Control Unit. Any other use is surly egotistical or similar. I must admit I've had a laugh at the number of ECU''s some folk think there are. Each to their own
  9. Is that a miss type John? 28 ECU''s?
  10. From my experience of having car bodies repaired over the years your car will get 2 new door skins (10 years ago it was £300 a skin) the bumper is an easy repair. The wing however is a bummer. On wings that size they are made up of multiple piece welded together. I'd say that section of wing will be cut out and a new piece welded in. However the wing would get replaced as it isn't a hard job to a professional. Bummer it happened. Once repaired your car will be as good as pre damage and no different to drive and enjoy.
  11. That's good then. But what suprises me tho is how soon after buying a car they make that offer. Thanks for the info boys ☺
  12. Lexus Leeds emailed me today with a 2 for 1 years warranty. £995 for 2 years warranty is rather good ( better than 995 for just one year). I was surprised tho because I've only had my car since June so that's 5 months. Still got 7 months left of my current warranty. Think I'll contact them to get more information. Damn good deal tho.
  13. Is this your first hybrid? Is this your first auto? When I got my first is300h I found it awful. My second is300h was superb. Same age/spec/everything except the reg plate. I remember getting low low 30''s in my 1st but regular 50''s in my 2nd. I had an auto box mondeo between the two lexus cars. As above. Get to desired speed briskly then keep foot steady so needle stays in eco bit.
  14. Ganzoom you ain't gonna get arrested either with that function your tesla has. Yes Toyota / Lexus miss out on functions other manufacturers have fitted for years.
  15. Glad your bonfire still good Pink. Nowt wrong with being a bit OCD. Yup misted up windows is a curse and as I mentioned in another thread a time ago that I wish Lexus had a system like Ford. Ford screens demist in seconds not minutes like in the 3 Lexus I've had. So I feel for you.
  16. There's no reason to warm the car up in cold weather. When I had my 300h work was 1 1/2 miles away and the car reached warm within a mile. Plus I believe it's illegal to leave a car running unattended. Sorry to pee on your bonfire.
  17. Sounds a bit over priced that car Shiner.
  18. I'm wondering if you had to go in settings and change the time zone GMT to minus 1 hour. That's what I did in my 450h Sunday afternoon. It's the worst car in my history for changing the time. Gobsmacking considering the marque of the vehicle.
  19. What a suprise. A rev counter in the 4RX wish they put it in the 3RX. Really nice colour your car has. Enjoy.
  20. Hi Paddy. If you want the same volume inside the car then get the 450h. The NX is a lot smaller inside.
  21. I'm assuming that the RX400h has in its menu an economy setting and a POWER setting? For maximum acceleration you need to be in Power mode and that the battery is at least 30% then floor the pedal and it'll shift quite quickly. I'm not sure the power difference between your car and the RX450h but my 450h effs off more than pleasingly and leaves most traffic for dead.
  22. Maybe try a different obd lead. I've read this is the way to go. Have you Googled techstream? There's a good YouTube video how to use it etc etc.
  23. The Ghost system is a very good one but it has been overcome a few times. Read in the Ford forums those who have the RS Focus.
  24. Multimac or not is a personal choice at the end of the day. I've not looked into them personally as I've no need. However personally speaking it looks ruddy awful and looks like it'd be a pain to fit and take out. To tether it down securely would either take two people one at each end or numerous trips to either side whilst pulling the straps bit by bit till done. I can see that thing being installed wrongly by some.
