Hi Vivian. Sorry to learn of your plight. Can you take a photo of where the hole is? Unbeknown to many owners there is a small key size slit on the underside of the handle. This is so that you put your key in thst slot to prise it off revealing a normal looking key hole so you can get into your car if the remote fails.

Thats what I've done Paul. What I did notice though was when I looked in the phone menu looked at the call history. Funnily I saw one name showing my gafer who's number in my phone started with +44. I have the Samsung S10 lite and it put my wife's number in a favourite location and that didn't get transferred to my car. Its in now. Ho hum technology eh? lol
-
With you saying that m8 you reminded me about a similar issue in my 64 plate is300h. The screen would show names but only after I changed all the phone numbers to start with +44. This came to light only after a visit to Lexus Stockport and one of their technicians sitting in my car with me sending me a text. Looks like I'm going to be busy changing all my contacts again lol But with my current car being much older than the is300h I had I'm not going to count my chickens yet lol. Cheers for your input.

OK the car is a 2007 but it does have Bluetooth connectivity and phone connectivity. My phone pairs every time but I've noticed that when a call comes in from someone in my contacts their name doesn't show. Is this normal. I can't understand it if the cars system asked me to transfer contacts but then decides not to show them on phone calls. Advice please.

yeah that reminds me. More ofter than not when ever I go to Chester services to take my tacho break I'll see 2 or 3 tesla cars on their dedicated chargers. Also I read somewhere that using those fast chargers too often reduces the lifespan of the batteries quite considerably. Only trouble with hydrogen powered cars is the high cost of extracting the hydrogen. Shame coz to me thats the way forward.

Blimey m8. Did you forget to put the lemonade in your shandy? lol. I for sure won't go on the local electric buses. I'll still be in my not so gas guzzling 2.5 litre V6 smiling at the nerds who will be in those over priced electric cars. There will be loads like me who wont yield to pressure from any governing body to go electric. If finances allow I'll also have a crindindin 2 stroke Yamaha like i did in the marvellous 80's.

Hi Kevin. I suggest you ask any questions you have about the 500h in the LC or LS sections. You haven't made it clear which car you're considering but in this forum you'll find your answers in the relevant sections.

Hi Alex and welcome to the best Lexus forum there is. Those is200's are a cracking car with such a stonking reliable engine. I'm in a 07 ate is250 SE-L and love it to bits. So what have you done to it since you got it?
-
Maybe get your alignment checked elsewhere. Do you take your car to Lexus for its service? When I took my is250 they did an alignment check as part of the service plan. Slightly out on the back but not worth changing. One nearside shock leaking now both changed. No issues with mine tracking wise. Id get a 2nd opinion. How are your tyres by the way?

Balan. An update on the bluetooth adapter I bought and link posted on your thread. Mine has developed a fault in that it won't stream low bass. I'm now back on a 3.5mm jack lead to my phone and the sound is as it should be for a ML system. I've asked for a refund and have ordered a different one. Hope ive caught you before you buy.

Hi Chan and welcome back to the best Lexus forum there is. Good choice in the SE-L a cracking car. I've had mine a month or two and love it to bits. Enjoy your car, I'm sure you will 👍

Yokahama tyres do give a harshish ride. You could have stuck with the same size tyre but gone for a different brand. Plenty to choose from. What brand are the 255's then?

Roy. When i had a RX450H I was told that the plugs get done at 100k miles. On my is250 its at 60k intervals. Maybe I was told wrong. Balan I hope the links I put up come out. I got these and am more than happy. The 90 degree power adapter is because in my car I use the cigarette power socket in the arm rest cubbyhole. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/223550132778 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/292074804774 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/333306908036 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/283938989823 Ignore the bluetooth item states for BMW.

Hi Balan. Re transmission oil service. Look on YouTube as there are a couple of excellent videos specifically on the RX. Looks like you're quickly reaching 100k miles. Spark plugs will need to be done. At lexus you're looking at £650 to supply and fit. There are videos showing how to change the plugs. Its the rear 3 that are swines to do. As for bluetooth streaming. Since you have an aux cable you can buy from ebay inline bluetooth adapters. You may also need a interference filter inline also available on eBay. I have them in my is250 and works a treat. Enjoy you car pal. You'll love it.

Did I buy The wrong one ?
Mr Vlad replied to Zuke's topic in Lexus IS 250 / Lexus IS 250C Club / Lexus IS 220D & IS 200D Club
Blimey. In all the 25 none Lexus cars ive owned and done oil changes on ive never come across such an over engineered oil filter housing. Why oh why go to such lengths to make such an awkward housing. Whats wrong with one with a hex head on it? Now I know why Lexus charge so much for an oil and filter change. Sheesh. -
Hi Jonny. The market on is250's is a weird one. Yes there are cars as low as 1k and as high as 5.5k. All depends on their condition. Number of owners. Has it got full or part service history. Spec levels. If you go SE-L model then you can't upgrade the headunit. If you go for a car without nav then you can get a tesla style replacement. When I was looking I was dead lucky. I got a 1 owner full lexus history SE-L fully loaded for 5.5k oh and only 78k miles. Mind you I had to get new rear shocks done as Lexus Stockport notified me about them. Keep on looking and you'll find a suitable one soon.
