  1. I'd contact that dealer with your proof and tell him/her you want a spare wheel or threaten them with trading standards.
  2. Hi and welcome to the best lexus forum there is. A 2011 car? Is that a late gen 2 or a gen 3 car? I have a 2007 is250 SE-L which I love to bits. More so than the is300h and RX450h cars I've had previously. I take it you did research before you bought the car. Did you get it from a lexus dealer or where? Photos are always welcome. What made you go for the is250? Any questions you have concerning your car just ask on here and you'll get answers quickly. Glad you're pleased with your car.
  3. Thats great work you've done. I see you did a water mist clean. I don't know but is the is200 a direct injection car which suffer carbon build up on inlet valve tops? I assume the water mist clean cleared carbon very well? How did you do it? I've seen lots of YouTube videos about valve cleaning but a lot of negative views about water mist cleaning. Really glad you've posted again. Hope you are fit and well in these awful times. Take care 👍
  4. Hi Marlon. Has that noise started recently? If you wasn't going to a garage to get it looked at I'd suggest squirting some WD40 as close to the centre of any pulleys you can get to. If you do end up getting a new water pump fitted i suggest adding a few ml of ZX1 in the coolent. Also either 5 or 10 ml in with the petrol. Also put a full bottle of it in the engine oil. I totally recommend this stuff. I've been using it in all my cars fir the past 30 years. It coats any metal it comes in contact with with a molecular coating which reduces metal on metal drag etc. Let us know how you get on.
  5. Blimey that was a good video. Amazing how much crud builds up in that drain channel. That's a job on the to do list. 👍
  6. Instead of waiting till a few hundred miles till next fluid change do it as soon as you can. Look at what comes out to see any water ingress. Do again a week or few days later and compare the oil that comes out. Do it a few times. Yes I know its a cumbersome job but you'll see what changes have occurred and if indeed water still ingresses the box.
  7. I'm a bit confused. So the plastic piece is broken and the boot won't lock? Why am I confused? Because I noticed mine has broke in two. Left hand side still goes down when pushed but the boot locks. Surely there must be another reason why your boot won't lock. Oh and as for those photos app zips. I clicked on the first one and all hell broke loose. Over 2000 items downloaded in a couple of seconds. What gives?
  8. John is Absolutely correct 👏 👍
  9. 90% of the time with Android Play? That's an improvement from what I read some time ago.
  10. Ahhhh then thats probably the problem. As Marleez stated. I bet you spray your cleaner directly onto the surface you're cleaning. You've probably got cleaning stuff in the switch mechanism. Try spraying with an electrical cleaning spray to hopefully clean the switch. To clean things spray the cleaner onto the cloth then wipe.
  11. None of them do. Believe me I've looked into this at depth when I bought my car. No unit exits for a car with built in satnav and ML.
  12. Hi Wazza. Thats some issue with your head unit. I've not seen or heard of such issue but other ones. Try disconnecting the battery for 30 seconds then reconnect. That seems to work for quite a few issues. This should reboot the head unit. If the issue occurs after that then I don't know what.
  13. That item on amazon is only suitable for None satnav and ML cars. That is cars that have no satnav. Shame cos I'd have one if it would work on mine.
  14. The vland lights are being sold by loads of sellers on eBay all the same price of about £250.
  15. Google roof bars and boxes. Forget ebay. There are 2 companies that stand out and reasonably priced. There is a thread on here about roof bars and boxes. Well worth searching for it. Great advice.
  16. Blimey aren't there any cats in your areas guys?
  17. Yes if any connections have failed then any number of dash lights will come on even irrelevant ones.
  18. I can't remember what that connector is for but someone who does will be along soon. What affect has it had on the running of your car?
  19. Good of you to do an update. Good to know you're still loving the NX. 👍
  20. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/292074804774 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/303642200154 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/164201487335 These are what I use in my is250 with ML and it works very very well and I thoroughly recommend these items.
  21. Hi m8. Look on eBay. You'll need a shallow 12v cigarette charger adapter. A 90° USB male to female adapter. Then a Bluetooth adapter. I'll try and put links on your thread but if you look in search on here you should find a thread where the links are there. Reason for the shallow 12v adapter is because rhe best and stealth location for the Bluetooth adapter is in the armrest cubby hole. When the lid is down a normal 12v adapter would foul the lid. Cost will be about £12.
  22. Ah right. Thats good then. Glad you posted that as I intend to do a rear diff oil change next year. Nice one 👍
  23. Have you done research on the trans fluid? General consensus is to only use Toyota oil. Forget the spec but there again utube videos use a different oil but the same spec as Toyota. Bummer the clutch has gone but that's a ruddy good price for that kit 👍
  24. Hi Andrew. This must be a very annoying issue and one which I find unbelievable on that car. I would advise taking your car to Lexus and get their opinion and get remedied. There must be an underlying issue which Lexus should sort. I've never heard of such an issue or experienced it and I drive like a looney.
