  1. If you are refering to the mast alone it simply unscrews. Your best bet is to grip it at it's lowest point using a piece of cloth to help get purchase. Dec.
  2. Try "Rear Diffuser" Have a look here: http://suwwheel.com/en/body-kit-lexus-nx300.html Dec.
  3. Hi Scott, Don't know if you have seen this but it is a recent post on the US Club Lexus site which might be of interest: If you suspect the switch it might be worthwhile to take it out and soak it in electrical contact cleaner for a few hours, giveing it the occasional workout and ensuring that it has dried fully before re-fitting. Dec.
  4. I have mine for nearly two and a half years now and have never seen another one on the road.
  5. It's the vacuum hose for the brake servo. It's taken from the other side of the plenum chamber for LHD cars. Dec.
  6. Yes just unplug the connection and take the car for a drive. The ECU will revert to default settings for the MAF. You should notice any improvement in performance fairly quickly which would point to a problem with your MAF sensor. I'm uncertain as to whether or not it will turn on the engine management fault light.
  7. Try running it with the MAF disconnected and see if there is any improvement in acceleration.
  8. Any Lexus IS250 produced after September 2007 is OK with the new E10 petrol so your 2009 registered car will be fine. Dec.
  9. Hi Neil, Welcome to the club. As a fellow IS250C owner I did a little research some time ago as to how many of these cars found their way to the UK market. What I found was that over the four years that the model was on the market in the UK a total of 882 cars were registered comprised of 418 SE-L, 277 SE-I, 69 Limited Edition and 118 Advance. At he end of 2019 816 of the original 882 sold were either still registered or on SORN. That represents a survival rate of 92.52% which I imagine is rather above average. Hope this is of interest and all the best with the car. Dec.
  10. Great job Vlad. Thanks for posting.
  11. Hi Bilal, Last year I sourced a pair of Strong Arm struts for my car from LiftSupportsDepot.com in the US . The cost was $82.00 including shipping to Ireland. They have reduced the amount of effort required when lifting the boot lid but it still requires a little more than one would expect. Quality seems fine and they are an easy fit. Dec.
  12. Well done. Thanks for posting. These "simple" things can drive me insane when they won't play ball.
  13. Hi James, I have used Nissens in the past without any problems and would certainly be inclined to use them again in the future if I find myself in need of a replacement radiator or condensor. Dec.
  14. Welcome Baz, I know you will enjoy your new purchase - these truely are lovely cars to own and use. Enjoy, Dec.
  15. Hi John, I'm not sure if this will be of any help but if you can get the VIN of the car you are interested in and enter it in the ToyoDIY.com website it will give you the month and year of manufacture. In case you are not already aware, IS250 models produced between August 2005 and September 2007 are not compatable with the new E10 petrol which will soon be introduced in the UK. Dec.
  16. Putting the reg number into motorscan.co.uk/free-car-check will give the information. Dec.
  17. Hi Paul, Welcome to the club. My understanding is that cars originally supplied to the Irish market did not mirror the model lineup available in the UK. The cars on sale here were spec'd by Lexus Ireland and sourced directly from Japan. With regard to the Mark Levinson sound system, while it does sound terrific, I would agree that it can be problematic. I had an IS250 SE-L, 2006, with ML and the American made amp failed. Luckily I sourced a replacement from Ebay. Best of luck with the new car. Dec.
  18. Hi Keith, You have a PM. Apologies for the Off- Topic.
  19. Hi Mike, Have you seen this video: This is a common problem. The wind deflector is well worth having. I managed to source mine through Ebay in Germany but they are not very common. You will also need the "fitting kit" which will only be available from Lexus at around £70 if I remember correctly. I have fitted a space saver spare wheel and securing bolt from an IS250 saloon. I have removed the plastic wheelwell lining and padded out the well with some carpet underlay and made a new cover out of 6mm MDF. I finished it off with a Lexus original boot carpet mat which I sourced on Ebay. You could possibly modify the plastic liner to accomadate the spce saver wheel but I chose not to go that route. I only paid €40 for the wheel and they should be readily available. Hope this is of some help. Dec.
  20. Hi Lesley, Might sound a bit obvious but have you checked that the wheel nuts are fully tightened?
  21. Well done John and thaks for posting the details. Enjoy.
  22. The easiest solution would be to fit the painted cover from your existing mirror to your new used unit. Job done.
  23. GearMax's extra charge for delivery to Ireland on one 500ml can is £12.99. - delivery is free in the UK
