  1. Original fitment is Toyota Pink long life coolant. Be carefull where you purchase as with nearly eyerything you can buy on the internet there is a lot of fake copy product out there. Your local Toyota/Lexus dealer is your best source for peace of mind.

  3. I think you have that the wrong way around John. The switch needs to be in either the L or R position for the feature to work. Dec.
  4. Great to hear you got it sorted John. All the best. Dec.
  5. Lovely car John. Enjoy. Your TPMS problem may be the battery failing in one of the sensors. Their lifespan is generally around 10-12 years. It is possible to fit new batteries to the sensors, but fiddley. Otherwise it requires a new sensor. Dec.
  6. Apologies. Video here:
  7. Here's another one for you. RHD car so should be similar to ours. The video is fairly drawn out but if you go to roughly 7.30 minutes in you can see clearly that there is no fuel line attached. I beleive the fuel line on the US models is attached to some sort of cold start valve which does not feature on our cars. No need to remove any engine covers to check. Dec.
  8. Hi Ahmed, Did you manage to get your problem sorted? Dec.
  9. I find that very strange Vlad. I have replaced the plugs on my previous 2006 IS250 and my current 2009 car and neither had the fuel line going to the plenum chamber, or surge tank as Lexus refer to it. John's excellent tutorial here: also shows the surge tank without the fuel line fitted. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what Tom comes back with. Dec.
  10. The fuel line as featured on some of the US You Tube videos is not fitted to our cars so that is one thing less to worry about. Dec.
  11. If you are happy that the correct plugs are installed I would be inclined to leave well alone. I would replace all the plugs at the same time if and when you decide to tackle the job. It is time consuming but not hugely difficult if you allow yourself plenty of time. The new plugs should be fitted dry, the use of copper grease is not recommended. The torque setting is, from memory, 25Nm. The original plugs fitted were Denso FK20HBR11 Iridium but they are not cheap - you should probably budget for £80-£100 for a full set of six. Denso also now offer a cheaper TT plug for this engine but I do not have the reference. Be very carefull where you source replacement sparkplugs as the internet is awash with counterfit items. Dec.
  12. No, you'll need the full fitting kit. Taken from the fitting instructions I linked above: Hardware Bag Contents Item # Quantity Reqd. Description 1 2 Front attachment sleeve 2 2 M6 cap head screw 3 2 6 mm washer 4 2 Under head rest attachment 5 2 Trim plug – Ivory 6 2 Trim plug – Black 7 1 Customer Care Card You probably will have no choice other than sourcing the kit directly from Lexus. Dec.
  13. Hi John, Sorry to hear about your issue. Just one thing comes to mind, did you do a window re-set after you reconnected the battery? Just a shot in the dark but may be worth a try as the roof system is reliant on knowing what position the windows are in. Dec.
  14. I think you'll find that PT933-53100 is for the wind deflector only. The addition of "WS" denotes the fitting kit. I have checked my Invoice from Lexus and it gives PT93353100WS as the fitting kit (but it is from nearly three years ago). May be best to give your local friendly Lexus dealer a ring to clarify? Dec.
  15. It might be no harm to pull one of the easily accessable plugs just to check that the correct plugs were fitted and get an idea of the overall condition. Dec.
  16. Hi Stuart, Have a look here: https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/resources/installation/LPN/2FCF0E90E4D21C4F8825759B006F0647_IS250-350 ConvertibleWindScreen II 2-12-09.pdf The part number for the fitting kit alone is: PT933-53100-WS (or PT93353100WS). Be prepared for price of £70 or thereabouts. Hope this helps. Dec.
  17. Try this German site. It's an old listing but still comes up as available. https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/lexus-ls600h-fahrwerkssteuergeraet-892a0-50010/1349467303-223-17494 Dec.
  18. Hi Tim, Sorry to hear about your slight mishap. You probably need to check the window operation to ensure that all is well. Hopefully it won't rattle around. You could try a magnet on a piece of string and go fishing!! Dec.
  19. Hi John, Thanks for posting that. Do you mind if I ask at roughly what mileage this happened? I know the west of Ireland is not hte driest place on earth but that seems an awfull lot of wear and tear. Thanks, Dec.
  20. Here you go: https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/resources/installation/LPN/2FCF0E90E4D21C4F8825759B006F0647_IS250-350 ConvertibleWindScreen II 2-12-09.pdf
  21. Hi Tim, There is a "fitting kit" (for an additional £60 or so) for the wind deflector which was probably fitted to your car but not removed when it was sold to you. From memory Ithere is a metal tube inserted in the circular holes and secured with an allen bolt, probably 5mm. You will need to remove these to allow you to refit the blanking plugs. The allen bolts are located quite deeply in the tube so you will need a long allen key. I managed to get my deflector used from the German Ebay site. Hope this is of some help. Dec.
  22. Mine is a very early build 250C ( May 2009 ) and has the HDD system so I imagine Tim's will be the same. Disappointing to hear that this particular system can no longer be updated. Dec.
  23. I have used Gummi Pflege on mine for the last two years and have not had any issues. Previously I owned a Mercedes R230 SL which needed annual treatment with a "special" very expensive Mercedes supplied lubricant, similar to Krytox, but I am not aware of any particular lube either supplied or recommended by Lexus. Water leaks are not a known issue with the ISC. Dec.
  24. There needs to be clear space, roughly 1 metre, behind the rear of the car to allow the roof to operate.
  25. Is there sufficient room to the rear of the car to allow the roof to operate safely. If the car detects - through the park assist system - that it may be too close to any object, it will not commence the roof closing operation.
