I am looking for an RX450H under £15k to upgrade my RX400H.

All of this was working before the Battery went dead.

My Battery went flat on my rx400h last week. After I recharged it, I also had check Hybrid  and vac when I started it.  After 5 cycles of stop and start  the messages disappeared.   I don't know if this is reproducible,  but a week later the messages have not returned.  

A couple of thoughts about this problem:

Does it matter if the A.C. is on or off?

Does it matter which output vents you have chosen?

Does it matter which fan speed is chosen?

Is it the same if you use the auto setting?

Is it the same when the temperature is set to HOT (eg 25C), and when it is set warm (eg 21C)?

Does it make any difference when passenger temps are set the same as the drivers temps, or when passenger temps are different to driver's?

Interesting problem that I have not experienced with mine. Interested in finding out the cause.  

I wonder if the heater gets heat from the engine, or from the inverter?

I used that high tech solution for a while too.  I gave up trying to fix the leak so I came up with another long-term solution:  drilled a few small holes to let the water out.  🤣. Problem solved!

Well, I think a middle section including cat and silencer for that price is really good.  When my middle section rusted through a couple of years ago, I could not find anyone who could supply a replacement part without having the car in their workshop so they could make it to fit. In the end, I took it to a local exhaust specialist who made a new middle section with silencer in stainless steel.

that was £200 cheaper than anywhere else and more than i wanted to pay but to sell the car on it needs to be correct to pass mot.

 

Does this include cat, or is it just the section with middle silencer? At that price, I expect no cat.

My exhaust tail pipe fell off my RX400H recently; just the short part after the rear silencer.  Although I have retrieved it, it did get slightly deformed as it landed.   

I don't yet know if it can be reattached, but I'd be grateful if someone could tell me the shapeof the rear chrome tip.  Is it round or oval?  If you could post a pic that would be great, please.

That's interesting. It says The Mark Levinson sound system was edited too, to include a spot to plug in a guitar and jam out over the speakers.

I wonder how they did that.  Shame it did not become a standard feature for streaming music from mobile phones.

I looked into an lpg conversion on a previous car well over 10 years ago.  I was very happy with the idea in principle (still am), but the economics don't work out for me in the long run.  I've just checked availability of lpg fuel near me on https://www.autogas.app/ and the nearest place to buy it is 15 miles away.  Over 10 years ago, there were several places nearer to me than that.

So on convenience, it is also not practical in my area, and with the closure of some lpg outlets, I wonder if this is indicative of a declining market?

Is anybody already running their rh400h on lpg?

Nope, but I am considering buying LED bulbs for the courtesy lights.  

I've been struggling for a while with poor radio reception on FM waveband on my RX400h on the Mark Levinson stereo.  I'm at a loss to explain it. Symptoms as follows:

1. At some times, there seem to be no problems whatsoever, and I can tune in to any number of FM stations.
2. At other times, all I can get are some local stations with perfect reception, but others (eg radio2, radio 4) have very poor or non-existent reception.  
3. MW reception is not affected, and I can always get Radio 5 with good reception.  

I can't work out if there's a fault somewhere, or if I have some settings set incorrectly.  

Has anybody else had similar symptoms, or have any ideas of the cause of the issue?

Where was the water ingress: in the boot by any chance?

Would be interested to hear how much you got for part-ex for a car that doesn't work?

Is the trim around the stereo bespoke to that stereo? Or, can the trim be paired to any double-din unit to increase the range of stereos under consideration?

I’m not sure what model you have or if the option was across all models but the option did/does exist…

Interesting..... I've never heard of this functionality on an rx400h.  As far as I know, the only way to make the mirrors fold is to press the button on the dash before turning the ignition off.

Do you mean the head unit with the screen that fits in the dash? Or the dvd reader that is fitted under the boot floor?

It's not possible as standard.  I think I've seen kits for sale on the web which will make it happen, but can't remember where.  

Thanks a lot Ken.  How is the starred wheel accessed? I presume that the rubber bungs are at the back of the hub? Can they be accessed from under the car without removing the wheels?
