  1. Missed the bloody postman so I've got to pick it up from the sorting office tomorrow. Typical. It wasn't the cheapest but they were specific about it not being a copy. Other listings were a little more vague. If it turns out I've had my leg pulled then fair enough, I'll put it down to experience. At least I'll have updated maps.
  2. I've got what is supposed to be the latest disc arriving sometime this week. I'm assured it's not a copy but part of an unwanted/needed full European set. Previously my car had it's original 2006 disc in. I'll let you know how I go on.
  3. I think I might treat myself. Glyn's saying four months. How long do you get out of it?
  4. Admittedly that is a humongous phone. I use a not small OnePlus One in a case and it's never dropped off.
  5. I'll play devil's advocate and ask why it isn't worth that? If the condition and history are really that good then why not drop 15k on it? What else could you buy that gives you that sort of motoring for that price?
  6. Fleet's in. Averaging 30mpg too which is a bit of a change. But I have to say I do like having the IS as a bit of a garage queen. I'll make the most of it while I've got it.
  7. I found that ^^^ worked very well on the glass door of our shower.
  8. As is the way with forums I can't help with the CD slot mount but I do have another cheap and cheerful suggestion. Ever tried one of these? My wife and I have had them in I don't know how many cars previously and they work very well if you can find somewhere you're happy to put the magnet.
  9. I'm not delusional and I never said the stamps added value to the vehicle. But if you really don't think a main dealer stamped service book adds anything to these vehicles then I think you're kidding yourself on. And that goes for the newer cars and the ordinary, average daily driver cars like mine and Julian's.
  10. Nothing wrong with a dealer stamp. Both my cars (2002 & 2006) have a book each full of them and that will continue. Brakes and the like I'll probably use a regular mechanic but don't forget Lexus offer reduced prices for older cars. I think I was quoted £300 for a cam belt on an RX300 from Lexus Sheffield. Not unreasonable. The local economy angle is a bit of a stretch. If I use Lexus Sheffield I'm actually using Monty's Motors, formally Toyota dealers who have been a Sheffield institution since God was a lad. Plus the service I receive from them is far better than any I've experienced in 30 years motoring.
  11. A friend of mine made the same discovery when he bought an E46 M3. Gave the steering wheel a good clean to find the M Sport red and blue stitched around the circumference. Couldn't even see it before.
  12. Cheers guys. It's in on Wednesday for a once over by Lexus. I'll mention it.
  13. It has full Lexus history and was last serviced in September 2017. I'll dig the paperwork out for any mention of it. But does that travel seem excessive?
  14. There does seem to be quite a bit of travel on the parking brake of my RX400h. I'm just wondering if it's normal or too much. If we're to use the "clicks" it travels about 8 or 9 before holding the car on a slope. Any thoughts?
  15. Put my OEM wipers on today. The car's definitely faster.
  16. Funnily enough I found it today with the help of a YT video. Absolutely no mention of it anywhere in the handbook. Or if there is I couldn't find it. Anyhoo, I've got this one... ...which I assume is about as early as you can get. But I've found what I think is the latest for Western Europe labelled E1F and E1G. I guess they're what I need?
  17. We're starting our own forum. We hang out. Chat wipers. That sort of thing.
  18. I don't think that's silly at all. I'm picking a pair up from Lexus Sheffield tomorrow
  19. ...and once I find where the nav disc is located I'll look into replacing it...
  20. I do like the reassurance of buying from Lexus but in this case a comparable 400h I looked at was nearly £4k more. I was willing to take a warranty gamble given the history of this one.
  21. I can only find cosmetic stuff at the moment but I've got Lexus Sheffield giving it a once over next week. Hopefully they shouldn't find anything too serious as it was last serviced by Lexus in September. This was a major service and included a Hybrid Health Check and cam belt.
