  1. I'll try and get a shot outside. Pretty much the last job to do is now booked for April 1st. I'm having the bumpers blown over to remove the scuffs and scratches. After that everything's gravy. It's usually at that point I move a car on and start on something else. Let's see what happens this time
  2. I don't pretend to follow it all but am I correct in thinking you're in the medical profession Rayaan? I do understand the herd immunity argument but isn't that extremely dangerous for the vulnerable in the short term? Until herd immunity is established?
  3. Unfortunately I couldn't take a photo to save my life. It looks better in the flesh.
  4. It's between 5 and 6 minutes [yawn] So I got some tints applied on Friday. Here are some predictably poor photos. I think it looks rather swish. Even Freda said the car looks better and she hates it.
  5. Hi Simon. So if you've already done all the big stuff like the roof bar feet, tailgate struts, welds etc or your leaks seem to be coming from around the bumper/light cluster area then see the pic below. I was also happier once I'd taken the rear lights off and had a spray round before refitting.
  6. Hi Theo. Welcome! It is good when your kids get excited about new cars isn't it? Never had a 450h myself but I'm sure someone will be along shortly. I'll guess at Bridgestone. Seem to be a Lexus favourite but there are better out there. Have a look at the spare if there is one.
  7. Well over here the GS is clearly going nowhere because it's been pulled. In the UK the ES is seen by Lexus at least, as a GS replacement.
  8. The new ES is front wheel drive too isn't it? That would put me off.
  9. I've got it down to six minutes so far. Next time I pull the fuses I'll try five. #reallyinteresting
  10. Spotted them in Aldi too. Was in the other day to pick up one of their 12v oil pumps
  11. I seem to have limited control of BT functions via the factory radio. Wasn't expecting that
  12. Not known for my patience I swapped out the GROM aux unit for the GROM BT3. Got a bit bored with unplugging and plugging in wires every time. Only had to change the unit as the harness is the same. Then positioned and ran the microphone cable for calls. Top job even though I say so myself In other news, did 125 mile round trip to York yesterday. Steady motorway (M1) and dual carriageway (A64), sat nav indicating 70mph, 29mpg and no warning lights! I think my perseverance with V-Power is paying off. And I don't think 29mpg is bad for the old girl.
  13. Gummi Pflege is good but try and get the liquid rather than the push up stick. In this weather the product doesn't break down onto the rubber as well because it's just too cold.
  14. As the two Johns say, could be a leak or just the cats getting tired maybe?
  15. Who knew such a thing existed. Well pricey though.
  16. Thank you very much! Just spoken to him and getting back to him with the model number.
  17. Lovely motor. Can't stand Clarkson though. So if I owned it I'd be torn about telling that story
  18. I need a 1st generation head unit with the built in autochanger. The one in the IS has given up the ghost like most do. Anyone got one kicking around, in decent nick and (most importantly) working?
  19. There's a car in our car park destined for the breakers with (I think) 4 of these in various states. Want me to enquire on your behalf?
  20. Excellent thread. Well spotted. I'm having some issues with the door rubbers on my GS. It hadn't ocurred to me that they might have shifted. I'll have a look.
  21. Replacing? Why? More detail please Mike. And welcome
  22. Try the springs. I'd be interested to see it working. As previously mentioned, just didn't work out on my 1st gen IS. I think you need just the right anchor points which the 2nd gen may have.
  23. I haven't had a German car for years but I'd choose the GTE over the CT all day long. How's that for unbiased
