Nice colour. Not limited to this seller but I am extremely wary of all the vehicles for sale at the moment that haven't had MOTs since the middle of 2019 due to the April on deferment.

I was using the airbag ECU as an example. The ECU and loom were Soarer specific and in fact specific to that particular model. Amayama did list one but it was £1000+ I was just adding to Steve's comment above about maintenance and spending. I don't want to discourage you, I'd love to see a Soarer on here. And if the prospect of running an older import doesn't put you off then go for it

That though they may share many parts with other more widely available Toyota and Lexus, some model specific parts are simply not available. Cam belt, water pump and bodywork may be an easy fix but I was very close to getting a Soarer earlier this year and due to a faulty airbag ECU the car couldn't pass an MOT and was therefore only worth the scrap value. All that said, if you do get one I'd love to see it. Cam belt and water pump cost would be around the £400 mark I assume.

Oh hello... Grille badge didn't come out too well because it was already so tarnished so I've ordered another silver one. Also having the ones on the hubcaps done.

Missed this. I had exactly the same on my 400h and used black silicone sealant exactly where you did plus the area where the support strut meets the body and the roof rail feet.

And as I have discovered, due to the models age and import rarity there are parts that are simply unavailable and turn a beautiful looking coupe into a piece of scrap.

Check Amayama too. They have part number catalogues too. Or ask your Lexus parts dept for the part number and then put it into Amayama or the key site I linked too.

Hey Porterhouse. Lovely motor If you can get a part number for the actual key I used a company based in the UAE recently to replace an alarm fob for my LS 400. Don't be put off by the distance, even with delivery they were cheaper than the main dealer and Amayama. Arrived in 3 days too https://www.abkeys.com/ But I guess the real cost is the coding to the car.

From experience, when Amayama show that level of stock you get an email two weeks later saying that in fact they can't get one and here's your refund

Forgot about this and yes indeed, it is extremely good. Possibly the easiest sealant product to apply and buff up.

Meant to say, had the big items sorted the other day at Lex-Tek. Cambelt, auxiliary belt, diff oil. Stuff I'd really struggle with. The cambelt was last done in '06 so certainly due and luckily no water pump required. Looked like a new one had gone on last time. Old belts were genuine Toyota and still looked new of course. Scary pic klaxon
