    That doesn't explain why it keeps beeping in reverse, I could understand one, but not the incessant noise.  I believe it can be switched off by the dealer so next time it goes in...  And the sensors are crap anyway, the worst I've ever had in any car, especially the front ones.  Why can't Lexus get these simple things right?

    I get a single beep when I engage in reverse. I also have a button to disable parking sensors if I tire of them.

  3. Likes:

    * The hybrid drive - silence at low speed/stop, seamless acceleration, productive braking, fuel economy

    * The comfort

    * The many features (F-Sport), especially rear camera and auto-everything

    Dislikes:

    * Lack of storage

    * Low doors scrap against the pavement :sad:

    * Looks from the back

  4. I thought I should update this thread. I now drive a grey Lexus CT200h F-Sport :-)

    Glad I upgraded to Lexus, coming from a Toyota Yaris which I kept for 14 years! But this time I took a PCP so it won't be that many years probably.

  5. I had the car for a few days only, I don't know if that is normal.

    When I am braking at low speed (maneuvering to park) the car does a dull "thud" sound.

    I requested the garage to look at it, just in case.

  6. Hi,

    The Lexus dealership contacted me with the following update about the used F-Sport I am buying:

    Quote

    I spoke to the body shop and they are expecting the car back on Friday to do the necessary work to the car.

    The car is having its front bumper fixed, so a good job it’s already down there being sorted

    When I checked the car I didn't notice anything about the front bumper :wacko:.

    Why do I have to wait?? Any idea about what fixing is being done and why?

  7. When I was finalising the contract for my CT 200h, I decided to do another test drive in the car I was about to sign for. However it was at the workshop because they were making it ready (I had already put down the reservation fee).

    So the salesman offered to drive his car, which was same spec (F-Sport) but a 2016 model instead of a 2014 that I bought.

    It is a Lexus franchise and the car is Lexus approved so I was not really worried. I already sat in the actual car I am getting.

    I did the test drive in his company car. Then I learnt that the salespeople get to drive a new car at regular interval; once it is time to switch, the car they've been driving goes on the sales floor.

    I am somewhat puzzled.

    Why putting new cars through this regime? Do slightly used cars sell much better than new?
