Try money supermarket. I got my friend to try it and she got cover with AA BUT at a cheaper price than other comparison sites, due to money supermarket doing special rates on selected companies.

Remote start on NX 300h
Eggie replied to Kv_pat's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
The defrost app on the 350h starts heaters, defrost AND engine.as stated previously you can set it for set amount of time to function. However the vehicle remains locked and if you or anyone touches the handle of the car the engine stops immediately. Technically speaking this is not remote start as described and used in the USA but it can be used to remotely start the vehicle. -
Remote start on NX 300h
Eggie replied to Kv_pat's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
Gen 1 NX does not have remote start unlike the gen 2 350 h & 450h. My NX 350h has it and I used it to defrost the car. -
I dont know the answer to your query and no one answered my same question for the gen 2 NX. I have pondered a while about putting a tracker etc. on my vehicle and am still not decided. I am using a disklok at present. I have however looked at the scorpion which with the x- bus can bus protection and with a tracker is without any discounts quite expensive. The x-bus works similar to the ghost in the way it disarmed using the selected switches / buttons in the car to input the code. the one I am tempted for is the Smartrak S5+imob which uses a card or phone app to disarm.the immobiliser. No card no start. Cheapest I have found this is £499.00 fitted plus additional subscription fee to Smartrak. Be interesting on members thoughts.

Update: Since getting the latest software update I have done a few trips. The link has shown every trip without fail. Without tempting fate I would say that it now works as it should and the update has cured the issues. My recommendation to anyone having issues is to get into the dealership and get the recall updates done.

Update: Car been to Lexus Bolton today. 23rd Feb. Had new updates installed re link issues. Seems to be working ok but early days. Will monitor.

You need to remove the mechanical key part then the back of the key can be slid sideways away from the silver/grey spine to access battery.

Have you checked in settings. I have got mine set so doors cannot open until Park selected. However system should over ride if handle pulled twice. The handle need to be pulled well back. If not settings or handle still not working then dealer visit it is -
HUD intermittent problem
Eggie replied to Summerbj's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
I have had no issue of this sort on my NX 350h f-sport. As Nemesis (Peter) says it sounds like a dealer visit. -
This year I am with NFU. Found their service so far excellent. You cannot get online quotes but I have found their agents excellent plus my new NX is covered for new replacement if written off for 2yrs rather than the normal 12 months.

Door button not working in cold weather
Eggie replied to HOOVER1's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
Regarding the frozen button there has already been a thread regarding it. Basically in cold weather the pressure pad inside the door handle has a tendency to freeze and not work. You do need to warm it up by friction from fingers or use something warm to defrost. I have found for some reason my rear offside passenger door never fails to work but all others do. -
Profile Help Please

If you log in again it will still do it. Plus very difficult to re log in when driving. You are already logged in and pressing cancel just reconnects. -

Do not worry. This is a glitch but is not the car but with the lexus computers which are not the best. Just press CANCEL to close NOT continue and all will be as normal. -
LEXUS NX350H door handle button frozen
Eggie replied to DeGars's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
I started a thread earlier re this before this appeared. I have copied it for info: I had difficulty gaining access to my vehicle due to icy weather and electronic locks not working correctly. This issue has been reported widely in North America. I got into car eventually and called into my local Lexus dealer. Apparently if this occurs its because the electronic touch pad on the inside of the handle is frozen. (Not the locking mechanism) If you feel for the slightly raised activation pad which you touch to activate the lock and either use fingers to warm it up by friction or use a heated cloth it will defrost and work. I have tried it using my hand and it does work. Hope this helps for anyone who has come across this issue. -

Memory function for driver
Eggie replied to FSPORT3's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
Once seat set and steering wheel set to your requirements look to setting buttons on drivers door. press set button and 1 at same time and memory is set. also if you go into settings you can programme setting to specific key so car knows who driving. Seat and wheel will move to desired position automatically and on arrival at destination and unfastening seat belt will both retract. -
