  1. Be aware that if fitted after factory this could affect your insurance
  2. I would suggest you read all the shouts on the software update topic re issues after updates.
  3. The scurity lock does nothing to sort the issues caused after update. All that does is enable you to put a password on the system which means without the password you cannot access the unit. You can turn it on and read what it does then cancel it by switching it off again without inputting anything. all data switches should be on and if they not remaining on then a system reboot is required. All saved details e.g. radio stations etc will need to be re-entered after reboot. The media boffin at Lexus Bolton did mine whilst I watched him. Took about 10 mins start to finish because he did have to reset it a couple of times. Everything now works inc. trip info on the Lexus+ app.
  4. System reset causes no problems apart from data in multimedia is lost. For instance favourite radio stations need to be saved again and the link key switch activated for the keyless entry to function. You will also need to relink system to your lexus+ account. Took about 10 mins to input radio stuff and what was required for link up. Hope this is a reassurannce
  5. After the update my info and security selections would not stay on causing me to have to reset after restarting car. Nipped into Lexus Bolton hoping for a solution. They got the multi media expert to look at it whilst I waited. He reset the system a couple of times and this resulted in the system working correctly. Everything now back to normal inc. info being sent to the app. Once again a great service from the dealership on responding even though I had no appointment.
  6. Since update car will not allow me to log in. Consequently no trips being recorded and sent to lexus + app.
  7. Try formatting sd card. Log on via phone app and select format. This may cure it.
  8. I am with NFU. My renewal was at end of September and actually went down from previous year. On line checks showed most insurance companies quoting over £1k. I paid a lot less than that.
  9. I used to be with sky broadband which required a landline. However I have now changed to vodafone and City Fibre. I get 930mbs download speed and use my cordless phone via voip. Accordingly I have no landline. I went into a vodafone shop and accordlingly I managed to get the broadband and unlimited phone calls in uk plus to mobiles included for no extra cost. I also have emergency backup should the fibre network fail and the system changes over to 4g. i kept the same landline number. The knowledgable people say you better having a secondary contact method for backup such as a mobile in case system goes down as voip would not work if this happened. so far after 3 months I very happy. hope this helps.

  11. Firstly I thought the NX built for uk market all came from Japan. I happy to be corrected. regarding the rattles I know its a long shot but when I had one I traced it to the glasses compartment above the rear view mirror. My glasses when in there were causing the rattle which stopped when I removed them or wrapped the cleaning cloth around them.
  12. Had my replacement handles fitted Friday last. No problems since. Happy Days. Replacement handles were ordered on 30/11/23.
  13. As Ken says. Open the left compartment in boot. If you put your hand in you will find a trigger to open flap. Its a well known issue on the NX BUT there is a fix. Ask dealer to sort the issue out. They will replace the required parts.
  14. I have small size for my NX 350 h. I dont think steering wheel size much, if any, difference with my previous NX.
  15. I know its not same vehicle but the disklok fits my NX350H f-sport which has paddles. I cannot see there being much different if any.
  16. The frozen door locks are known on the NX350/450. The rubber pressure pad freezes and does not then function. Ask the dealers to order and fit the replacement door handles which Lexus have developed to overcome the issue. Mine were ordered last week. If they sayvthey know nothing about it tell them to read the bulletins issued by Lexus.
  17. This has been a common issue on the new NX. Its the rubber touch pad inside the handle that freezes. I have this issue and Lexus Bolton have ordered updated replacement handles.
  18. I had trouble this week getting in due to frozen handles (same as last year). Luckily I went into Lexus Bolton for car to be serviced today. I mentioned the handles and said there was a bulletin about replacements and was told they would check. I collected my car tonight and result. They have ordered the updated handles for my vehicle. Booked in for next week for fitting subject to parts arriving.
  19. Mine been doing it for a few days. However it now appears to be working. I would think the server glitch been fixed.
  20. You can use the app to turn on heaters etc remotely and car will start engine if needed. The doors remain locked however and if like the NX then as soon as door handle touched it switches off.
  21. I use a disklok. Not the cheapest or lightest but strong. If you decide on this make sure you buy the steering wheel glove which protects it from scuffs whilst putting on or taking off the lock. https://www.disklokuk.co.uk/
  22. I dont think you can. I have mine set on eco . It will be a fuel saving idea and its no issue just switching it on when needed for me.
  23. Update. I retried the new app today and it allowed me to fully set up. I think that there must have been a glitch Lexus end.
  24. Yes. They will only quote over telephone. They are not on any comparison sites.
  25. I have exactly same issue. I get the message “we are unable to identify that you have access to your vehicle in order to provision your subscription”. Offf to my local dealer on Monday to try and sort.
