  1. Yes we also have hybrid battery warranty until 15 years old unlimited mileage. It's free with a Lexus service or can be purchased separately - each time it's renewed it's for 10k miles or 12 months whichever comes around first and then needs renewing for another 10k miles / 12 months.
  2. Yes, they won't offer the 10 Year Plus Extended Warranty to any car under 10 years old or 100K miles, - that has to be Relax. Unfortunately the 2-4-1 offer of the old Extended Warranty is not offered any more, just an annual renewal at around £500. However, it is renewable for a bit longer than the old Extended Warranty which is a small benefit (and for those able to take advantage of Relax they are making the saving for up to 7 years on having to buy the old Extended Warranty, so understandable guess). My car is a 2014 and I've now done 130K miles and so have had the 10 Year Plus Extended Warranty for a couple of years now as my mileage took me outside the 100K mile limit for Relax even thought the car is still under 10 years old.
  3. It's called the Lexus 10 Year Plus Extended Warranty (not detailed on Lexus website but a number of us on these forums have it on our various Lexus cars) and costs about £500 per annum - covers pretty much the same as the old Extended Warranty and may be slightly better than Relax. Also includes in that price Lexus Roadside Assistance (see website for details of LRA). It can be renewed annually until the car is 15 years old or 150k miles whichever comes first. The car must be serviced at a Lexus dealer according to schedule to keep it valid. The hybrid health check and associated warranty also continues with every Lexus dealer service free of charge (or can be paid for if not having the car serviced by Lexus) and is valid for 10k miles / 12 months (whichever comes first) so as per the service schedule, and can continue being renewed until the car is 15 years old with unlimited mileage. By the way if you rely on Lexus Roadside Assistance it's not included with the Relax Warranty but can be purchased separately on the Lexus website but LRA IS included with the 10 Year Plus Extended Warranty as it was with the paid warranty you have had to date.
  4. Inverter coolant is changed atb150k miles
  5. There is a difference (or certainly was unless it has changed) in that a used Lexus (from a Lexus dealer) comes with a 12 month unlimited mileage warranty including Lexus Roadside Assistance whereas the service activated (Relax) warranty (activated on having a Lexus service) is for 12 months or 10k miles (whichever comes first) and does not include Lexus Roadside Assistance.
  6. I did get Lexus Customer Service to change one of mine from Repair to Maintenance a while back but when it happened again I decided not to bother as I could see me having to do it every time!
  7. Yes I also had a service that only shows the hybrid health check too. What's on the Lexus Link app isn't worth having anymore unfortunately. I always make sure they stamp the service book and keep copies of all my receipts.
  8. When I got my two year old car back in 2016 and registered with the app I could see all the previous service details (four in my case as it had done 40k miles). Initially there was quite a bit of detail for each entry and for new ones (plus any other work) each time it went into Lexus. Then a few years ago Lexus changed something with the system and although the headline entry stayed in the app the details were significantly reduced and now virtually nothing is logged when the car goes in - and in some cases it now shows what should be Maintenence as a Repair! I don't know whether the dealers systems and the app are even linked anymore (they seemed to be originally given the level of detail) or whether someone just put something into a separate system (as the details must still be stored somewhere within Lexus) which is the one we now see? BTW we also have a Toyota and this usesbthe same app with a different skin and in that the entries are also just the bare bones.
  9. The price of Lexus services can be found here: https://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/servicing-and-maintenance/servicing-mot-hybrid-health-check The services are now simply priced as intermediate or full regardless of what work is scheduled at each service. £2,075 is therefore correct for the 5 services. A service plan doesn't reduce the overall amount but it locks in the cost at the point you buy it and so isn't subject to future inflation. You can also pay by monthly direct debit. The Relax Warranty only lasts until 100k miles however (or 10 years whichever comes first and don't forget only lasts for 10k miles or 12 months whichever comes first and is not for one year) but once 10 years or 100k miles has been reached you can then purchase the 10 Year Plus Extended Warranty which is about £500 per annum (and does last for 12 months) and can be renewed until the car is 150k miles or 15 years old whichever comes first (but must continue to be serviced by Lexus according to schedule which if you do more then 10k mile per year will be more than once a year) and this also includes the Lexus Roadside Assistance package (which is not included with Relax).
  10. Let us know how close a match it is when you try it.
  11. As I understand it, in Eco mode the heating and air con is reduced in capacity (for want of a better way to express it as it will still reach the temperature set on the climate control just not as quickly) to save on energy too - in Normal (or Sport) mode it will heat or cool more quickly and maintain temperature better (at the expense of some additional fuel consumption either running the ICE for heat or to recharge the HV battery for the additional air con load). Using the S-flow button on the dash to stop hot or cold air to the rear seats when not carrying rear seat passengers can also help with the heating / cooling of front seat occupants and save some fuel.
  12. I've had two replacement windscreens on my IS 300h, both non-OEM and IMHO both were as good as the OEM so I wouldn't worry unduly about that. However, the issue you do have to take care over is the fitters (regardless of OEM of non-OEM screen). The first screen I had replaced all seemed to go well, but after a few months I noticed that the windscreen at the passenger side was starting to mist overnight as it got colder. Then realised the the passenger side carpet was becoming damp. After much hunting traced it to drips coming from behind the dashboard near the glovebox. Didn't at that time equate this to the windscreen replacement and so asked Lexus to check what was going on. The tech removed the panel at the end of the dashboard and said that the leak was coming from the windscreen (they didn't charge me for this for which I was very grateful). So went back to the windscreen fitters and showed them the Lexus report. The windscreen fitters ordered another screen and took the old one out and found that there was some fitment that should have been put in the top of the windscreen but wasn't done and hence the leak at that point - so they took full responsibility and fitted the new screen which has been fine since. The only thing I did notice was that the passenger wiper blade was sat higher than before the screen was replaced and so after checking where is should sit on some other IS 300hs I took it off and put it back in the correct position.
  13. The Lexus 10 Year Plus Extended Warranty covers a least ad much as the Relax warranty and in some cases more.
  14. That's what I described further up the thread - it's purchased through your dealer. Only applied to cars that are over 10 years old or 100k miles.
  15. I'm not sure - I know others have asked this before so hopefully someone can give you a definitive answer or maybe email Lexus Customer Service and get it confirmed on writing to be absolutely sure.
  16. Lexus Relax is free with a Lexus dealer service until the car is 10 years old / 100k miles whichever comes first and lasts for 1 year or 10k miles whichever comes first.
  17. If you get the service done before 100k miles I think the Relax warranty lasts until the next scheduled service (110k miles or 12 months whichever comes first) but I may be wrong so best to check with the dealer. Once the Relax warranty can no longer be granted (so over 10 years old or 100k miles) there is something known as 10 Year Plus Extended Warranty. This is not free with a service (like Relax) but costs about £500 per year - however it does include Lexus Roadside Assistance (which used to cost £125 per annum and recently has gone up to £155 per annum). The 10 Year Plus Extended Warranty is not detailed on the Lexus website and dealer personnel are a bit hit and miss in their knowledge about it but is does exist and a number of us on this forum have taken it out (do a search to see other threads about the details). The 10 Year Plus Extended Warranty can be renewed annually until the car is 15 years old or reaches 150k miles whichever comes first. The car must be serviced by a Lexus dealer on schedule however (10k miles or 12 months whichever comes first) for the warranty to remain valid. By the way there is also the hybrid healthcheck which is free with every Lexus service or can be paid for separately) and warranties the hybrid battery for 10k miles or 12 months (whichever comes first) and is renewed each scheduled service (or can be paid for separately) until the car is 15 years old and for unlimited mileage.
  18. The old Extended Warranty before Relax used to be available for 2 years at a time but the new 10 Year Plus Extended Warranty only the one year unfortunately.
  19. Mine is too which is what makes the 10 Year Plus Extended Warranty such a good deal for me as I would have take the Lexus Roadside Assisstance anyway so that's some 25% of the annual warranty fee. It will be interesting to see whether the LRA increase changed the warranty cost but mine isn't due for renewal until November.
  20. If you can isolate a plastic to plastic noise it may just be a matter of pushing in some anti rattle tape between the two - that's all I did on my dashboard as I isolate the noise to where the two halves under the air vent came together - just pushed some into the join point with a knife. Really not sure what I'll get next - I'll see how long the IS 300h keeps going on for and then see what Lexus has to offer (given all the net zero stuff who knows where will be with cars...) and what my needs are at that time (which may by then have changed) - or if nothing from Lexus may have to go investigating other alternatives marques.
  21. Yes it does look that way which is probably why the Lexus price has gone up as it's all delivered by the AA. The Lexus cover has only one option - everything included. If that suits the needs (as it does for me) I don't think there is anything that is cheaper in the market but if one doesn't need everything in the Lexus cover then the only option is to look elsewhere where one can probably purchase a lesser cover for a lower price. However that's not the "same" cover as Lexus offers, just suits the needs of that individual who doesn't need everything the Lexus cover offers.
  22. The thing with breakdown cover is comparing apples with apples - if the cover bought is what you want / need then no problem but the cover you have for £105 for example is not as comprehensive as the Lexus cover. I went to through the Caravan Club website and did a quote and when Home Start is included and a second vehicle and cover for driving any car and for one's partner driving any car then the cost for Green Flag is actually £189 - so more than the Lexus cover (and that's only UK, no European cover). As I said, if what is actually covered for the price paid is what one needs that's great - but it's not the same cover as Lexus are offering. I've done a lot of trying to get breakdown cover that Lexus offer for less (given that what I need are virtually all the options on the Lexus cover) and after adding in the various options to the base cover with all the major breakdown organisations it always comes out more.
  23. This is from the AA website for the same UK cover as the Lexus £155 (2 people, any car, At Home, National Recovery and Onward Travel) but the AA cover doesn't include European cover which the Lexus one does - of course if some of this cover is reduced the cost can be reduced (for example for a single person with just the basic breakdown cover it is £100 according to the AA website).
  24. Depends what you want from the cover - at £155 it is still good value (if annoying that it has gone up 24%) for everything that is included (also covers you and a partner driving any car). Of course, if you don't need everything that is included then there will undoubtedly be cheaper cover available. I just priced up the equivalent cover direct with the AA for JUST the UK (so no European cover) and that alone came to £280 per year. Adding European cover was at least another £160 to £220 on top of that (depending on how many Euro countries you want cover for) for an annual cover policy.
  25. You may have seen this thread so apologies if so but the symptoms on here sound same as yours - culprit EGR: If you do a Google search on your symptoms for CT 200h or Prius (same mechanicals) then lots of threads about the EGR being the culprit of your symptoms at your sort of mileage. @LexusDavesuggested EGR but you said the RAC said it could not be that - IMHO I would take what the RAC said with a pinch of salt when you see all the posts pointing to EGR and consider getting that cleaned as a first step in logically troubleshooting your problem - much more likely culprit than the flywheel.
