  1. But you aren’t setting the temperature of the air coming out of the vents, you are setting the temperature you want the cabin to be. The temperature of the air coming out of the vents will be dependent upon how cold or warm the cabin is at the time.
  2. It’s just automatic climate control as opposed to a manual system where you control the heat setting, fan speed and air direction. You could mimic this by manually setting the system. In my experience all automatic climate control systems in cars work the same way in terms of trying to maintain a specific cabin temperature in the most comfortable way.
  3. I’m not sure what you are trying to achieve. How would you know what the temperature of the air coming out of the vents should be at any particular point in time?
  4. This should be simple. Leave climate control in Auto. If you feel too cold, turn the temperature up. If you feel too hot, turn the temperature down.
  5. I’ve watched two now. Enjoyable and still an entertaining show. I do think Flintoff is a bit too juvenile at times mind.
  6. Oh and always use AUTO with the temperature set to say 25 on both sides of the car, ie not in DUAL mode. This should be enough to force warm air out of the vents in an effort to auto-maintain the cabin temperature at 25. If this doesn’t work, set the temperature both sides to max, set the flow control to the face level vents position and crank the fan speed up to check that: (1) The air coming out of the vents gets hot. (2) The fans blow faster. (3) The flaps controlling the air distribution inside the system are working. if you can’t force hot air out after a 15 minute journey, something is wrong. If you can force hot air out by taking manual control but still no hot air in Auto, something is also wrong.
  7. Make sure you have the following items set. efficient ventilation set to OFF set climate control to NORMAL or FAST. Don’t have it set to SLOW. Then see if these make any difference
  8. Wrap all cars in the packaging that Mincey mentioned and there would surely be no more accidents. You wouldn’t be able to get into the car mind!!
  9. Whilst we’re on this subject. The sheer quantity, strength and type of plastic packaging of everyday items is surely over the top nowadays. Consumers are often blamed for waste but I blame the companies who package up their items in bombproof packaging.
  10. Ah yes, forgot you said the radiator/cooling system was damaged too. Hope it works out ok.
  11. Another great result for Lewis. Still ground to make up on Max though and it does look like this one will go down to the wire.
  12. New wing, new bonnet and a new bumper for a proper repair I’d say. Possibly a new headlight? That lot would come to between £2k and £3k I’d guess based on a claim I made on a 3rd generation IS after an animal hit. Whether the wing and bonnet could be repaired depends upon whether they’ve lost any structural integrity I’d guess. Hope you get a good outcome 👍
  13. You have left £9500 on account with the dealer and you won’t take delivery of your new car until next year? Surely the money would be better and safer in your own account until you take delivery? Businesses, including car dealers, do go into administration and you wouldn’t likely see any of that money back if they did go under. I’d strongly recommend having the money in your own account to be honest.
  14. Your opinions do make me laugh. You put your opinions out there almost as if you are trying to get a reaction. I just laugh at them and they brighten up my day 😀
  15. I have a feeling that this year’s championship will end up in the courts. Whichever way it goes.
  16. Still nothing from the OP yet
  17. 👍 I tend to think the same when these series have been on for a very long time.
  18. Yes that’s the downside isn’t it. Agreed.
  19. I was thinking this too
  20. Agreed. Also having a new engine allows a team to run a much more aggressive mapping to give more power. Although they have to use the same mapping in qualifying and race, they still have lots of maps to choose from. The more aggressive the mapping (and therefore power) the more wear to the engine which is much less important when you have fresher engines to choose from. It’ll be an interesting weekend. Can’t wait.
  21. Would appear so. There have been some anomalies this year mind so perhaps not as clear cut. Big weekend coming up.
  22. I saw standard e10 unleaded at just under £1.70 a litre yesterday on the M6! Or over £7.50 per gallon!!
  23. Yes, agreed, it’s bad
  24. A fantastic drive indeed. And only a week to go until the next race. Can’t wait.
  25. I’d be tempted to wait for the original poster to come back and reply with what was meant by going into fault. 2nd NX, both suffering from sensor faults and yet it is a first post on the forum. I smell another windup 😀
