  1. Ignore some of what I’ve said. 😂 It’s a Premier not a Luxury. That’ll be why the wheels are different! Good price I’d say and worth a look.
  2. Sea air and a lack of cleaning under the bonnet for me I think. Nothing that a few hours under the bonnet won’t fix. Look forward to seeing the ‘after’ photos 😀
  3. I think we should leave it there and get back on topic
  4. For £21.5k. I missed out the most relevant piece of info! 😀
  5. I purchased mine at end July this year. A Luxury in white (colour I wanted), 65 plate, 20k miles, standard spec + sunroof (again I wanted this). Standard nav and no convenience pack (I find the NX one to be too slow anyway). The spec on this one seems good. ML and premium nav. Best to check price against every other Luxury for that year on the approved used site. This should show whether it is a good price or not. The wheels don’t look like the standard NX Luxury wheels for that vintage. Make sure they check service history - every 10k miles or 12 months whichever comes first. Ask the dealership to print out the service record. Hope it goes well.
  6. I agree. If I still wanted a compact sports saloon or a compact sports coupe and I wanted to buy brand new then it couldn’t be a Lexus. Which clearly frustrates a lot of people. Understandably so. It will be interesting to see if Lexus reverse their decision on the new IS.
  7. Q. Do you talk to people face to face in the same way that you write on the internet? Q. How many friends do you have? I mean real friends that you spend lots of time with because you enjoy their company and they enjoy yours?
  8. I doubt I’ll do that to be honest. I’d rather call him out whenever he does this if I feel strongly enough. What I’ve posted is very mild compared to what Linas posts so I do hope you also let Linas know whenever he does this. In the interests of impartiality and treating everyone fair of course.
  9. I wonder how many more brand new IS saloons are available in the UK now? Must be hardly any I would think?
  10. 👍 For a while I thought I was going mad. Maybe I’d imagined it. It’s an age thing. Pretty sure I’ve lost a few marbles as I’ve got a little older 😂
  11. I agree completely. And some of us are sufficiently grown up to know that everyone is different and our choices won’t suit everyone. Which of course is fine. It’s called getting along with people.
  12. Pretty much the only person on here who offends me is you Linas. You talk down to people, you rubbish other opinions, you are very obtuse and you never ever admit you are wrong or accept that people can have a different opinion about something. In your post here you say that no-one is going out of their way to personally offend and you then do exactly that by stating that this poster should get some pills, book physio and get some sleep. Can’t you see this? This forum would be a much nicer place without you spouting your mantra and going out of your way to offend people. I daresay it would be quite amusing to meet you with a number of other forum members. I still have this sneaking feeling that you are only 12 years old with no friends and it’s your parents’ cars that you post about.
  13. There is a button on mine located to the right of the steering wheel but lower down on the dashboard. Marked P. If I press that the parking sensors are disabled and the P light disappears from the instrument cluster. They definitely don’t work until the button is pressed again. Glad I wasn’t going mad 😀
  14. Yeah of course. My comment was a bit tongue in cheek 👍
  15. There are also some settings in the vehicle settings for climate. I turn off efficient air and I switch off one other setting which I can’t remember off the top of my head. They are both aimed at limiting use of the AC compressor. In all of my recent Lexus vehicles (6) I’ve switched these off because I found that they cause poor control of the temperature inside the cabin. Within the climate control settings I also select Normal and never Eco because this prevents a similar effect. It’s a negligible saving selecting all these silly settings and I place comfort inside the cabin above saving say 0.5 mpg.
  16. Surely they are all waterproof connectors though? I mean these things are sat out in the weather the whole time anyway. Agree there would be some risk when making the connection especially if someone waves it round in the rain before connecting. There are some pretty stringent ISO standards for waterproof electrical connectors. Imagine that. You can’t use charging stations in wet weather. In the UK. I’m shocked.
  17. Car magazine have been running some BEVs and the drivers often report an inability to get their downloaded app working with the charging station. The don’t use when it’s raining warning is a wind up surely? 😀
  18. Agree that once you get the sensitivity right it’s a good system and faster than the rotary controller
  19. Excellent news! 😀 I sometimes wonder at the I drive a Lexus because they’re reliable and never break down but I must have a warranty and breakdown cover argument. I’m pretty sure I’m going to run mine without a warranty or breakdown cover when mine expires next July. I might well regret it and it’s not something I’ve ever done before.
