  1. Possibly more to do with the high price of a Taycan I would think?
  2. Great to see that people are interested to this extent but, even as an engineer by trade myself, this is too much for me I’m afraid.
  3. You’d want an EV to be as quiet as possible given the complete lack of noise from an engine. Good to hear that the UX E is very quiet. It’ll be interesting to see prices when they hit the approved used sector
  4. I wonder why it is that some cars suffer and others don’t. Good to hear that yours is fine. I’m really looking forward to trying the UX EV
  5. Never spent anywhere near £55k on a car and never will do so this counts me out I’m afraid.
  6. There is enough in the UX forum about rattles and creaks to make me think there are problems. Possibly not on every single car but this would seem to be an issue. This is also a unique and personal thing. Different people have different levels when it comes to what is a rattle/creak and what is not.
  7. A transit van for all that I would think John! 😀
  8. Never done it at a Lexus dealership. Have done it at Audi, Merc and BMW dealerships when choosing next company car. I always had to make sure there was room in the boot for clubs plus all the company stuff I carried round with me.
  9. The problem with Autoglass is that the quality of the job is very dependent upon the calibre of the fitter doing the work. Some horror stories out there. Plenty of cases of them re-using the old clips, breaking the old clips and gluing them back in. Re-using old mouldings and breaking old mouldings too. Last time I had a screen replaced I found out which company the dealership used and I paid to have a Lexus screen fitted. My insurer wouldn’t entertain a Lexus screen and insisted on Autoglass. I’m still recovering from a deer hit a few years back so decided not to claim and potentially have a crap job done as well as having to declare a claim when shopping around at renewal time.
  10. Agreed. I’ve often turned up at a dealership with my golf bag and trolley to give the boot a test 😀
  11. Bought approved used last July. No claims so far.
  12. Later this year perhaps. Would be good to catch up with others.
  13. I do hope you have donned your flame retardant suit now John 😀
  14. A great read and very amusing but very informative too 👍
  15. It’s a good price already I’d say
  16. I’ve driven a few GS300h and they always felt quicker than an IS300h (I’ve owned two). Might be worth checking one of these out.
  17. Well more than 50 and a little less than 60. Bought my first Lexus when I was 51. Wouldn’t have considered one prior to that age. I was quite taken with a mate’s brand new IS200 company car in 2000 but preferred my company owned A4 at the time. I’ve now owned more Lexus cars than each of Audi, BMW or Jaguar. Great reliability and a good ownership experience keeps me here for the time being. A Lexus always seems to be my 90% car. Love it for 90% of the time and positively hate it for the other 10% of the time. Only visiting a dealership for routine servicing is welcome too.
  18. A KH400 hey! You just haven’t lived until you’ve heard a Kawasaki KH250 at full tilt. An amazing sound. From my youth
  19. That’s not great is it. Should be a stored setting not a volatile one I think. As you do by the sound of it.
  20. Nice! I’ll be very interested how much you pay for electricity and how many times you use charging points at supermarkets etc. Over time of course.
