  1. In the future all traffic but cars especially will automatically slow to the stated speed limit at all times. It’s coming but hopefully not in my lifetime.
  2. I’d be worried whether an NX and an ES would be able to keep up with the cyclists 🤣😉
  3. I always found Shell V-Power to be the best premium fuel when running higher powered cars. More then anything the mid-range response was always better. I did see better economy too but much harder to quantify given the many variables.
  4. Something strange about this thread in my opinion. There isn’t any conclusive proof that the phantom 200 miles was put on by the dealer. Unless you know the exact mileage recorded when you drop a car off I don’t understand what basis there is to claim 200 miles have been added. I might be wrong but I think the OP is adding up all journeys since the last service and adding this to the stated mileage at the last service and comparing this to the current mileage reading. I’m not sure that this is conclusive proof that any discrepancy between this and the recorded mileage is mileage added by the dealership whilst they had it. Also the fault. To suggest it will cost x because it cost x for a similar fault on another car in the past is also pretty flawed. This one doesn’t add up to me, so far at least.
  5. I don’t see the link between thinking Hydrogen is the way forward and actually going out and buying one. That link just isn’t there. I think a McLaren is the best sports car money can buy but I won’t be going out to buy one. For many reasons.
  6. Probably just posh upmarket flies I would think
  7. Just my view, as is everything else posted above 😀
  8. Surely it doesn’t make sense to compare different mpg figures? Different cars, different days, different journeys, different drivers, different conditions, etc. Quite apart from mpg discussions being about the most boring threads on LOC.
  9. Two days confirmed I am earlier post.
  10. This is interesting thanks. Could you give me a bit more information about this one please. What car / where charged and how. Genuinely interested.
  11. I’m very fussy about ride comfort and I found a recent UX250H with 18” runflats to be comfortable enough for me. It’s a personal thing of course but thought I’d mention my experience. I too find the CT and various 3rd generation IS saloons to be a little too hard on the road.
  12. This subject just gets done to death every time. Whether we have enough electricity generating capacity is irrelevant. What we don’t have I believe is big enough local sub-stations to support lots of people in an area fed by a particular sub-station charging their EVs. It is not the work of a moment to replace or upgrade these local sub-stations and it is this restriction that will limit capacity. I don’t believe we have enough generating capacity either but time will tell on that one. No-one seems prepared to have a proper debate about our lack of generating and distribution capacity because it’s got to be EVs and anyone who argues against this is killing the environment and doesn’t care. Which is ridiculous.
  13. This is interesting. Thanks for reporting this.
  14. Cheers thanks. I’ll buy some and try it out.
  15. I have noticed some really poor behaviour when oncoming drivers overtake bicycles. They have been conditioned by the adverts to leave a big gap when passing a cyclist and they get that but right. What they don’t get right is making sure it is clear and safe to do so and especially not doing it on corners etc. Someone overtook a cyclist on the country roads around where I live on a blind bend and I only just stopped in time. The other driver just stopped and got out of his car and said what did I think I was doing because he was overtaking a cyclist in the correct manner. It was a fairly short conversation with me explaining why it wasn’t ideal to go round a blind corner on the opposite side of the road. The cyclist stopped and confirmed that the car following him had had ample time to overtake him on a previous straight stretch and he simply couldn’t believe the car then overtook him on a blind corner. A dashcam beckons methinks!
  16. 👍 And Betamax was so much better wasn’t it! More compact cassettes and much superior picture quality from what I remember.
  17. If going to Malvern I would highly recommend booking a factory visit to Morgan. It’s a great experience for anyone interested in cars.
  18. Agreed. Definitely 😀
  19. Cheers. How much does it cost and how long does a bottle last for please?
