  1. Firstly are all doors/bonnet/boot & fuel flap fully closed? Then the next no cost option I would perform would be an ECU reset ( dis-connect battery negative ( - ) terminal for approx 10 mins) Electric Windows will (may) need re syncing after, as per owners manual. paul m.
  2. Think you may need to take out a second mortgage if you got ACC though! As the millimetre microwave radar unit for the ACC is housed in the Lexus badge on the front grill. If you have got ACC then hopefully if is not damaged but I guess you would have had a EML thrown up already. paul m.
  3. Wow, that is some result, after they first tried to bat you off with the service technicality! paul m.
  4. Nice one.. Seriously tempted here. paul m.
  5. Was reading this https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-2nd-gen-2006-2013/748605-2007-options-color-codes-etc.html recently and I know it is from US owners site and prob doesn't apply to EU spec cars but some things may be common to both! paul m.
  6. Wow 250 beer tokens for a non-stop/start battery no way.... +1 on getting a new battery before trying to fault find any codes, your 2007 battery will not last many more days and is telling you in advance before you get proper stuck at the most inoperative time. I have got and recommend ( along with others on here) getting the Bosch S4 for about £85, check this thread here: https://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/107731-best-12v-battery-for-is250/ Note the bit about on-line retailer sites search boxes not coming back with this Bosch but I and others can assure it does fit, snug, but it does fit! paul m. ps you will not be able to get a Panasonic battery anymore :(
  7. Other end of the spectrum and this gotta be the Lowest mileage I've seen for a 12 year old IS250 ( good or bad I'm not sure but Personally not my colour(s) of choice at all) https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201904297424875 paul m.
  8. Yes gonna be 95000 and according to mot.gov has got an outstanding recall ( airbag I guess) so no dealer servicing for a long while! paul m.
  9. Last post was 2011!!!!!
  10. Shame the ISF is ( probably) gonna turn up soon with a much bigger price tag....😢
  11. Don't know how they get away with getting a car in with a fault and then change a part ( charge you for it of course) and then car comes out with exactly same problem! It's just the same as if you went in with a headlight bulb gone and they changed the fog light bulb ( charge you for it of course) then you go and get car with headlight still not working, would you pay them for a new fog light bulb when obviously that was not the problem and old fog light was working quite happily when you went in? So tell me how do they explain need for part that never fixed problem? looks like this problem is gonna cost you a big fortune if these so called specialist carry on throwing parts at it ( at your expense), yes they will 'fix' it eventually, just a matter of how many parts later and if they get lucky. Paul m.
  12. Alarm bells ring when .Gov says 'There is a Problem'......seller ( Private?) looks like a garage to me, needs to explain what's going on with reg trace. paul m.
  13. Imagine the soundtrack!!!!!! paul m.
  14. Save the £££'s and find an ISF!, most people will think it is just a IS250 anyway...until you wake it up with the GO pedal. paul m.
  15. +1 on above, it's normal for this to happen and not a problem, the extra load on the engine gotta be provided somehow! My mondeo revs increase at idle if I put the electrically heated windscreen on!!! paul m.
  16. Check this thread that had a 'no water at Jets' problem https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-2nd-gen-2006-2013/916433-windshield-washer-pump.html paul m.
  17. Prob nothing you don't already know here then....https://www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/lexus/is-f-2008/ paul m.
  18. Anyone on 'here' got it now? paul m.
  19. If it's been dry/dusty for a while then maybe so. So first (easy) course of action would be to 'hose' down front wheels and arches and see it that makes a difference, if it does then a strip down and clean may be in order and possibly a change of brake pad manufacture/material. paul m.
  20. I always thought that the Lexus Warranty had to be 'started' within 10 years of first registration and less than 100,000 miles but that document states 140,000 miles? Along with Full Lexus service history or if not an inspection to decide if they will 'take in on' is required Paul m.
  21. Should be apparent as soon as you remove drivers switch panel ( which is simply a push fit ) if there is any aftermarket kit in there!
  22. Also relay for heated mirrors is in unusual place...
  23. Is200newbie says he has a spare motor if your turns out to be faulty,
