  1. So I guess the beeper is in the boot as well, as this would make installing this basic system real easy as I imagine it gets it power from the reversing lights ) when activated) paul m
  2. Yes, that'll be the 'Valet' button, caught me out once, only once though! But...Going to the Tip in an RCF, Really?, Nooooooo! paul m.
  3. If any fuse supplying this circuit has indeed blown then it is likely that something else will now not be working also, as there are very few (low powered) circuits that have their own dedicated fuse. Have you read your owners manual if your car if different from manual posted above.
  4. Satellite switch details ( but ignore TPMS-Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, US only) and note Park Assist can only be adjusted with IGN-ON.
  5. Is your park assist actually turned ON? Should have a green icon in right side of dash if it is.
  6. Likewise I think the ISF warranty is the same price as the IS!
  7. 'Sensorary evaluation of valve clearances" does that equate to 'listen and 'see' if valves are tapping? Paul m.
  8. If you have ACC ( Adaptive Cruise Control ) then I believe the parking sensor system uses the radar unit from that at the front, It is integral to the Lexus emblem. paul m
  9. Eureka moment! That will explain why sometimes when I approach my IS the proximity unlocking works and sometimes it don't! Just RTFM and found this, so I don't need to stress when it don't open, just means I should drive it more!
  10. So...you hearing this Beep Beep a lot are you? I hope you got the full 12 points to play with as the IS ( along with any Lexus) can easily surpass any speed limit with sublime ease and comfort especially if you flick the switch and 'make progress ' as you call it😀😀😀 As for the sunroof ( or Moonroof as Lexus refer to them) then yes can be a water weak spot but please don't compare the build quality of a Lexus one to a Rover 75! But having said that when I went to purchase my IS250 the seller failed to mention in the ad that it had a sunroof and these were quite rare to say the least so that was the clincher! paul m.
  11. Here, Here! Question?..Would I be right in thinking you are located in the US ( your sig states Other/Non UK) as I know the LS was a 'World' car. paul m.
  12. Also are these figures from the dash computer or your full-to-full tank calculations? paul m. I can achieve these figures if I drive like miss daisy but that is not often!
  13. Got about 43,000 on my 2007 IS250 over here!....but ( at my current useage of about 3k/year) I don't think I'll be posting up a pic of 100,000 for about 19 Years 😂😂 paul m
  14. A case of Hydraulic Injection Injury here, in my former workplace. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-48599963 paul m.
  15. Hopefully if it’s got exactly the same part number then you should get a result! As for programming then unless the ‘fusebox’ Contains an ECU ( and iirc The IS had about 13 ECU’s !) then it should not need to be. paul m
  16. Just read all of this old thread and to all of the above posters I would suspect that even though the battery is turning the car over, it needs to ‘spin’ it over and the first post with vid is cranking far too slow, so in all cases I would recommend starting with a good battery either by charging or boost starting from another good battery/car. The case above whereby after a short drive the car later started fine again indicates the battery as it had a small charge put into it during the previous journey. paul m
  17. Hopefully a reset should sort it as it appears that the window mechanism thinks it is lower than it actually is and when getting to the top it ‘thinks’ there is an obstruction and backs up. reset instructions for you model will be in manual. paul m
  18. No surprise on those telephone number prices, all those problems can be fixed to a satisfactory level at way way below those prices ( as you have found out by doing a few minutes searching) If they get say 1 in 5 of those Mickey Mouse quotes to follow through to completion then that's gonna cover the biscuits at least! Live and learn and get your car fixed without loosing an arm and a leg and you'll feel a whole lot more content for it. be wary though of buying 'branded' parts on Fleabay as there are a lot of fake branded rubbish parts out there! ( not good on an ISF!) paul m.
  19. Ditto...Please do some(more) 'homework' before buying a DERV Lexus! IS220D was/is probably the most troublesome Lexus to date, please do some searching around 'here' and don't let problems like excessive smoking, overheating, and even head gasket failures be a surprise as the 220 diesel has got inherent problems that will cost big bucks to fix, the 200D does not seem to crop up here so much with owners posting engine problems but still I would (and have) choose a IS250. Paul m.
  20. The wheels are the OEM wheels just Not the factory colour! This may explain the aftermarket exhaust fitted Just watched the sales video....Pointless, what's one of the best things about an ISF? .....YES....the nice tunes that it makes!.....Start the Damn thing up boy.....That'll sell it! paul m.
  21. Well DVLA got it down as an ISF on their system!
  22. Do not know anything about this car but.... why would it have a MOT done on July 2015 @ 56,200 miles and then another October 2015 @ 56,233 miles? Paul m.
  23. Welcome to the fold fella, come on in........ In all those previous years of Lexus ownership have you dabbled with the spanners maintaining yourself or are you minus an 'arm & a leg' through servicing cost's?😰 paul m.
