Plenty of owners in the US have changed OEM Wheels/tyres to aftermarket but I don’t think it is so prevalent here! https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-2nd-gen-2006-2013/386719-2is-wheel-thread-index.html -

If you are prepared to deviate from the manufactures recommended fluids then please let us know your findings on cost difference, any running issues and longevity of said fluids. I for one want to fit and forget and won’t take on the doubt if ‘different’ types are installed. -
11,159 NOK !!!😳 ahhhh £950 🙂

The engine air filter is a 36 month/30,000 mile item in the service schedule and unless you done anywhere near this mileage ( in a year!) or drive regular pass a quarry entrance then I guess your Denso was prob still quite serviceable, and I would be tempted to put it back it to check if it is indeed the culprit for your mpg readings.

+1 on above, your problem has arisen from Not using your AC enough probably!

Any idea what this noise is?

Excellent find my man! And bear in mind you don’t have to pay Lexus dealer rates if you have a known specific job (with supplied genuine parts) you can go to any established engine rebuilders. -
Check this out…

Press MENU button, Then MAP DVD button to display current version of disc in car. Do Not Press the EJECT button unless you have removed the clock fascia already !!!!! the two pin tools ‘should’ be in the spine of the tool kit pack in boot! And yes Only SE-L models were fitted with real wood trim & the rear sun screen, even the ISF never had a sun screen! Plenty of yootoob vids on how to dismantle the auto version trim, not so much the manual box ( that’ll be cause most vids are from the Yanks!)
-
The interior trim panels in the SE-L Are actually Real wood veneers! They are manufactured by Yamaha ( the musical instrument section, not the motorbikes!) and are lacquered numerous times and highly polished. And each car is unique, made from the same piece of wood so any replacement piece from another car will not match. have you seen this ( auto box I know)

‘Double post’…..but you are gonna be told the same thing!
-
Pretty sure the compass in the rear view mirror was only on US cars along with a garage door remote! if you have the SE-L model then pretty much everything is standard apart from Sun(Moon)Roof, Infotainment system and Active Cruise Control. your point 8. Normal unleaded was specified for this engine when released in 2006, and premium unleaded was not essential, But now Normal Unleaded is being sold with 10% ethanol added and this is Not compatible with a pre Sep 2007 IS250 so you should only use Premium Unleaded if yours is a pre Sep 2007 car.
