  1. 1st car has got wood veneer trim ( and it is real wood, Highly lacquered and actually made by Yamaha, the musical instrument dept not the motorbikes😂) so is SE-L as it is only IS250 to have this and it should also have rear electric sun-shade, not even ISF had that👍
  2. Well it is a ‘super’ car👍
  3. +1 here for the CTek MXS_5.0 if you have the facility. EBay item ( not my listing!) No 276723821014👍
  4. Only reset required will be the windows ( and Moonroof if fitted) nothing required for audio system, but car may relearn its engine perimeters when next used for a few miles, might get high idle for example.
  5. That ‘hole’ in the wash reservoir is where a pump should be! Prob the one for the headlight jets? Or if they isn’t another pump then that’s where your pipe for screen wash jets should go! So how the hell did this pass any previous MOT with NO wash pump🙄
  6. Have you checked for water ingress into the boot area via the rubber ‘letter box’ type stale air vent that is in the proximity of the Amp in the OS of the boot?
  7. Check this thread for the location of the filters And I reused the aluminium sealing washers,
  8. This is what the actual filter(s) look like, just trying to find a pic of where they live. this was one of my filters at about 48,000 miles ( before cleaning!) and I reckon they have never been out before, says loads for 5,000 mile oil changes👍 The large bolt in the below pic is all that holds the filters in place under the end of the metal oil feed pipe.
  9. One ( no cost ) thing to do in connection with the variable valve system is to remove and check/clean the two reuseable micro filters fitted in the oil feed line to the valve actuators in each bank. These may be clogged with debris and affecting the oil flow to the actuators.
  10. Glad I don’t ‘do’ Facebook then👍never been interested even when it started out as ‘Friends Reunited’🙄
  11. Thanks for reporting back with the positive outcome, hopefully this will help any others who may search with same symptoms in the future👍
  12. As it looks like you are gonna keep this car a good while I highly suggest oil/filter changes every 5,000 miles, like you said the chain starts to make itself known at about this mileage when oil is prob past its best, also oil is cheap compared to going inside engine👍
  13. Have you really only had this ISF for 45 days?😳
  14. Above vid was 250 and not 220👍
  15. How to get info unit out, LHD but just imagine you are in other seat😂
  16. Coolant caps have been known to fail, internal parts come adrift!, and may lead to loss of pressurisation and then coolant loss.
  17. The only ‘Options’ on a SE-L model IS are Multimedia Package Sun(Moon)Roof and Dynamic Cruise Control.
  18. I can’t upload the document here but do a google search and read this copy/paste the below term👍 L-SB-0016-10 pdf.
  19. I have the VL-2 Grom and when it works it’s brilliant but yes agree wouldn’t bet my life on it🙄
  20. Basic’s I know but have you checked the ‘Duel’ settings in the Controls?
  21. The two tools to remove the clock fascia should be in the spine of the toolkit in the boot, someone may have pressed ‘Eject’ on the sat nav screen settings Before removing the clock fascia and the disc is not in the reader. Do you have the Navigation Instruction Manual? It’s thicker than the cars instruction manual😳 this eBay item no 165154128384 ( not sold by me👍) is Western Europe , not sure exactly where you intend going! there is a Northern Europe as well and it’s not much of a phaff to change disc’s once you know how.
  22. That list states ‘Inspect air filter element’ but Lexus Schedule states ‘Replace air filter element’ ?
