  1. For the two year £795 warranty to be valid, you MUST have it serviced at the Lexus dealer. Bear that in mind when considering whether to take it or not.
  2. Used to use premium (Shell V-Power) and eventually stopped. Now use Costco Kirkland standard petrol (which I hear is a very good quality fuel) Premium fuel typically costs 10% extra. Are you happy with that?
  3. I believe it only exists outside of the UK (USA and presumably elsewhere) and is know as the Is350, with no hybrid power train. Someone will hopefully be able to verify.
  4. Hi John Great information. Can you recommend a specific make and model of battery for the Is300h? What adapters would one need to attach these disability scooters to the car? It would appear having extra capacity would be worthwhile. Especially as so many see their 12v battery flat, unable to start the car.
  5. I believe if a window is smashed, the unlock switch (to lock / unlock the door) is inoperable.
  6. Free, or paid for in the cost of the sensor job?
  7. Please let us know how it goes. I don't know of anyone with it fitted to a Lexus. I heard good things about it from a BMW technician in the local barber shop...
  8. I did post a link for you to buy one at less than £40, but seems mods have removed it.
  9. It's well discussed here that eBay is the place to get them. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-LEXUS-PREMIUM-NAVIGATION-2017-2018-MICRO-SD-CARD-SAT-NAV-MAP-EUROPE/323345600831
  10. If you wanted to spend the cash: http://www.ghostinstallations.co.uk/ghost-immobiliser-fitting/ Once fitted, you have to press a combination of buttons in the car (known only to you) to start the vehicle. Maybe the volume up, volume down, etc. Lexus Is current generation is supported according to their website.
  11. Or perhaps this is an opportunity to get really good with multiplying the number 1.6, in your head. 38362 x 1.6 = ???
  12. Perhaps the better way to get this sorted is to have them acknowledge this is a fault or bug. It doesn't really make sense that you can switch everything to KM except for the odometer. Especially as others do switch over fine. At the moment you're asking for a favour (and quite a big and expensive one), and they've fobbed you off with "that's the way it is." Whereas if you frame it as a fault (is there a health and safety spin you can put on it, that seems to help provoke action?) then they are putting something right that should have been right on day one.
  13. A warm welcome! There's a wealth of information here.
  14. I'd recommend using the 12V cigarette socket with an adapter in. Most modern smartphones like up to 2.4Ah. I find the USB in the centre console outputs far less, probably around 0.5Ah. That's nearly 5 times slower. I use this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Charger-RAVPower-Adapter-Chargers-2-port/dp/B00Q2GFP4M/
  15. I'll try again! Did your friend do anything else other than tweak the version number?
  16. You suggested this a few posts up, and I said I'd report back, but I can't see that I did (I though I did). I changed to 1.3 and there was no difference sadly. A real shame...
  17. Ability to browse playlists on my phone when connected via Bluetooth.
  18. Same question. I lost functionality when upgrading.
  19. If you're buying the card just for the firmware update, don't bother. There's some instructions on the forum for getting it even though Lexus no longer provide it for download. Someone extracted it from their new SD card and uploaded it for us all. If you want the maps then go ahead! Did someone say new maps are out each October? I'd have held off personally.
  20. I'm on VD12104B. This is my version as found on the infotainment system. I am thinking that firmware for the cluster is entirely separate to the infotainment system.
  21. I have the latest firmware as updated via USB / from the latest Sat nav SD cards. They are probably entirely separate firmwares however.
  22. I just tested my F Sport, switched it to KM/H (speed and fuel economy measures) but the odometer remained in miles per hour. Couldn't see how to switch odometer from miles to KM.
  23. You use this for speed cameras I assume. Not just as a speed indicator. Seems expensive for what it is. And £29.95 a year to subscribe to updates. Ouch. My dashcam from Thinkware has built in speed camera alerts and provides the updates for free. Not sure what costs are associated with obtaining or collating such data.
