  1. Clearly I didn't read closely enough! Thanks for pointing out.
  2. Depends on your browser, I suppose you could install and run old versions Officially, support ended on 1st Jan. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-55497353
  3. Sounds like what my Thinkware branded one blurts out, word for word. If it is the same, there's a voltage threshold in the camera settings (configured by mobile app or on a PC). I find the camera says this a lot sooner if I've had the door open for a little while (various lights come on) or some other aspect of the car on. I've never found it necessary to immediately charge the battery (car still starts fine). However, in this cold temperature and with it drawing power from the battery even when off, it's worth trickle charging to keep it topped up. These hybrids don't have big batteries. Another option on Thinkware is an option regarding a time limit for parking mode recording. Even if the battery voltage is healthy, it'll turn off after 4, 8, 12 or 24 hours, and you can choose that.
  4. +1 It's been cold out and our 1#v batteries don't like the cold!
  5. Are they not charging any labour for diagnosis sorry @Subtronics?
  6. Lovely car! Number plates still visible if you look close though. Don't worry, not much can be done with the registration plate!
  7. Welcome! No idea but a quick Google gives some troubleshooting procedures for another car, but a Toyota still. http://www.ttguide.net/lost_communication_with_hmi_lan_b150a_-2080.html
  8. I found this video - Model S vs. Mirai - quite interesting and fairly balanced. I'd have expected the Toyota to get a bashing because it's not given the hype a Tesla gets. In this case, not so. I'd give hydrogen a go if I had the means to fill up nearby.
  9. Interesting! In the article it talks a lot about platforms. What does a platform give you in terms of advantages in production?
  10. A dedicated dash cam battery will allow you to power the cam when the car is off (parking recording) without draining the auxiliary battery. I have my dash cam connected to the auxiliary battery, with no such dedicated dash cam battery. Thankfully I have a setting in the camera that detects when the battery drops to a certain voltage, and then shuts the parking recording off, to preserve the auxiliary battery. If it did not do this, I'd not be able to start the car. These hybrid auxiliary batteries are particularly small in capacity and so one of the two above options is very important.
  11. The place you purchased it from may not be interested in sorting it, but the small claims court may be interested in helping you sort it! I've a family member who successfully took their case there and won. Indeed it takes time (and it sounds like you have won in the past, but was that in the courts?), but if it's stretched you, I know I might entertain the idea if I were in your shoes. Thanks for the feedback on Lexus Leeds. Vantage Motor Group!
  12. Is there any recourse from where you purchased it?
  13. Sorry to hear this sad tale. Please keep us posted on progress 🤞
  14. Not the cheapest it's been, but supply is probably restricted due to Coronavirus. I purchased from these guys back in mid June for £99. There's a free delivery code if spending over £100 knocking about on the forums somewhere too.
  15. They're talking nonsense. Read notes above and do it yourself for much less. It takes moments to do.
  16. What's the steps for starting a car this way? Connect positive to positive? Or negative first? How do you keep your 12v alarm battery topped up? Can they be charged with standard car trickle chargers?
  17. Try a different USB stick. The formatting is right, but some just don't play ball. The car is very particular it would seem.
  18. Firmware is updated with the maps, but maps cost a few quid, and if you don't use the maps, then why update? A little while ago, someone came up with a solution here. They extracted the firmware from a recent set of maps. Your firmware is rather old. See here for the update: https://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/108014-new-firmware-may-2016/?do=findComment&comment=1048030
  19. If you're a desktop user and are happy manually installing Chrome extensions: https://github.com/iamadamdev/bypass-paywalls-chrome
  20. Different screen sizes mean that text wraps onto a new line at different points, which may change line numbers.
  21. Supply, fitting and programming? Or just fitting and programming?
  22. Just booked my Model 3 test drive! It costs nothing to do, 60 seconds online. No pushy salesman sitting next to you whilst you do it. A "contact free" test drive. It's worth a look. Especially if you appreciate modern technology.
  23. If it's fallen off, is it on the floor, under a seat, in the glove compartment or in the boot?
  24. Might sound funny, but give those USB ports a vacuum. There may be some fluff and dirt in the ports causing some issues!
