  1. Any more detail on this much appreciated @rayaans How does one shut it down properly, any idea? When you say "dumps" the power, what power do you mean sorry? Power built up somewhere? And you mention battery drain. Is that a permanent parasitic drain even in day to day use?
  2. I'm sure you've seen this and have given it a shot, but a few people are hailing this as the solution on Club Lexus.
  3. Where'd you read this @rayaans? We should probably be more aware with the number of 12v battery changes going on at the mo!
  4. Good luck! Do keep us posted, lots of people changing batteries as a result of cars sat unused over lockdown.
  5. Did you sort this, @rayaans? Very worrying for what is a simple procedure, a battery swap!
  6. I think he meant, in a garage (where it's warm) or sat on a driveway where it will be minus 20.
  7. The dealer may want £60 or more, but there's people here who've done it with an app on their phone and a small OBD dongle. Someone will share more info shortly I'm sure. Otherwise, have a search on the forum.
  8. Yes! And here's something that backs this up: Using car in sport mode, turning the car off in this mode, then turning it back on next time I go out, I find I am reverted back to normal mode. When using car in eco mode and turning the car off whilst set in this mode, the next time I come to use it, eco mode is preserved. It does not revert to normal. Indeed, if starting the car in eco was not good for the car, it would not preserve it and instead revert to normal. Using sport from the get go can't be bad for it, it's more just to preserve fuel and maximise efficiency as far as I understand.
  9. Free shipping code for Lexus Parts Direct with code 'lovelexus' as found here: https://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/122668-lexus-direct-good-deals-on-service-packs/?do=findComment&comment=1118754&_rid=57799
  10. Sept 2013 Car. Replaced for the first time in June 2020. Nearly 7 years old. It was truly knackered at this point though.
  11. The F-Sport has nicer styling in my opinion. I went for an F-Sport a few years years ago. If you're going to treat yourself (and I suppose you are, the Lexus is a good step up from the Ford) and you like the F-Sport, go for it. You won't be able to change it later. As you noted, these are now discontinued. £8,000 over 10 years is £66 a month extra over ownership life. If you keep it that long that is.
  12. I ran your numbers in a calculator and the 69 plate is coming out at £412 a month, not £301. 48 x £301 = £14,448 Plus balloon of £11,500. Total= £25,948. That's less than the £27,400 you mention, and doesn't even take into account any interest. Is there some huge incentive somewhere? Am I misunderstanding? Personally, I'd take the older car and try and finance elsewhere, rather than PCP. Money Saving Expert is showing car loans for up to £25K (you'll need to find a couple of grand to cover the rest up to £27.4K) for 2.8%, vs. 4.9% you're being quoted by Lexus. Over 4 years, that's nearly £1,700 in interest savings alone. Of course both scenarios are subject to passing credit check which may be easier to do at the dealer perhaps. You seem adamant on paying the balloon and keeping the car, so take a loan for it.
  13. Doesn't sound right. Mine sounds like Andrew's. Get another dealer on it. Some are better than others, I'm sure @royoftherovers can guide you there.
  14. Google Play Music initially. Now Spotify as of recent. Both the same. Will have a play with EQ though, worth a look. Unfortunately, I've ruled out a device issue, I've used two Android devices and both are the same. Maybe I should try and Apple device just to be sure.
  15. With all this cold and ice, are any car seals compromised? A little water gets under a seal, freezing causes expansion, and suddenly there's a gap for water to get in?
  16. Hoping this solves your problems, Jay. Are you confident it will?
  17. Understood. In which case, it'd be sore buying another set so soon. Sad to see it cost you £75 a corner though. Good luck with the refurb!
  18. They do indeed. Give the Costco tyre centre a call, their in-store prices are cheaper and they have more options. Their current brand on promotion is Michelin, so maybe look at the Pilot Sport 4s. I did exactly what you're doing with a refurb of the wheels. But instead of having old tyres fitted and balanced on brand new rims, I ordered my tyres and collected then from Costco. I then took to the refurb place. If anybody is going to be careful about not damaging the newly refurbished tyres in fitting, it's the refurb place themselves. Balancing tyres involves sticking those weights to the rim too. When you put new tyres on, the fitter will just bash them off. You won't want that doing with your shiny, newly refurbished rims!
  19. With the right offer, you can get all 4 corners fitted, balanced, and old disposed of for less than you think. I had 4 Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5s fitted by Costco for £312. More than £250 indeed, but a good deal can be had. Certainly not £150 a corner you mention.
  20. Accident? Insurance time I think!
  21. I have this issue in mine. Sept 2013, Premium Nav. I took it to the dealer and they replaced some hardware, at some great cost they told me, but under warranty. It didn't fix it. I've lived with it since. Just turning the audio off and then on sorts it. It's good for a while after that.
  22. It's not your job to identify the problem, only to demonstrate the symptom. If you can show the problem (in this case a message on the dash), it's surely up to them to find the issue. I think Mercedes did you over there. Unless you weren't able to prove any problem or show them an error. I doubt you'll have this issue in your circumstance, but if you did, I wouldn't be backing down!
  23. I remember buying 8 genuine Lexus ones on eBay (Denso), sold by a Lexus dealership for a £1 each delivered. Bargain! No idea why they sold them that cheap. It pains me to see such a hefty tag for your 4. How much of that bill was labour? All fine since? Let's hope it stays that way and isn't something else.
  24. Ordered this a few weeks ago. Returning my second unit and have declined a third. I'm finding quality control is poor. Don't bother with this. Can't fault the service though. Quick and helpful. Once I get my refund I can say so confidently.
  25. 30km/h in forced EV mode. But my car (2013) runs up to 44mph in EV mode (i.e. car enables it itself if the conditions are right), meaning it's fairly useful. Newer models can use EV mode at even higher speeds I understand.
