  1. Seems it was crushed because of street racing, that's all post says anyway. California are brutal mind you so wouldn't be surprised
  2. Ive seen the picture knocking around here but found a video this morning. If only it was silver! https://www.liveleak.com/view?i=829_1318992723
  3. When I'm driving then having passengers behind me is a real issue but I've got a 4yr old and expect a new one in jun so not bothered. Kids legs bend and stuff anyway so I'm willing to let them suffer for my enjoyment!!!ha
  4. Wow, that thing looks immaculate!lol. Look at those solid arches. Ha. Im 6'3" and hav no issues with head room clearance and have a sunroof.....im all legs mind you
  5. That is lovely, I'd rather have exhaust manifolds for that price though. I'd love some carbon fibre shifters.
  6. I love it! Only £6,000,000 each....primed!!
  7. Not a clue honestly, I live in south Scotland so can't comment on the northern stuff.
  8. Ive been quiet last few days on the forum due to work but now I'm around again I'd like to get something sorted on dates for this run. Longer we leave it, harder it will be. How about we agree a month first. For me it's got to be March/April/May really due to wife giving birth but if it's scheduled for a later time it's not the end of the world, could pop up for the day and meet up. Ive placed a separate poll to get the dates narrowed down, can you all please get it done. Thanks
  9. I've got an HPS intake with API panel filter. Also done the mod to keep the intake flap open and car sounds really meaty low down but seems stock on partial throttle
  10. Wife does portrait photography but shes done a good job of the car, with a bit of persuasion
  11. That's what I thought. I'm sure when we have our road trip the truth will come out. Any more thoughts on dates for this trip??
  12. Unaccustomed to public speaking????lol
  13. If you never go above 4th then that will contribute to lower economy. I use manual/sport occasionally as the roads I live on are brilliant but weather recently has been rubbish. Overtaking also as I don't like the fact the car still does kick down and stuff when it's in drive with a paddle pulled. I like the paddles but I really need to be hammering the car before it feels intuitive and use engine note to gauge shift times
  14. Considering the other cars that attend, you would think people would get suspicious of a guy in a silver IS and think "there must be something special about that car, he wouldn't just come in a Lexus!!!" Or you could just rev the car off the limiter all morning!lol
  15. It's as good as zero tolerance to any alcohol in the blood. Equivilant to something like an eggcup of Guinness or something
  16. Certainly as far as an itinerary, I'm super easy as to what we do or when. Also, I really don't mind if it's a week or long weekend. The itinerary Neil has put together is brilliant for a weekend. What dates are we looking at then? Any preferences? Are we hanging on for the better weather?
  17. Yes Rusty, how is your mood???
  18. This sounds like a good plan, doing the drive over the weekend with an aim of finishing the route on Sun afternoon to give you southerners plenty of time to get back home. It would be nice to take in some of the views and not fly along at a million miles an hour everywhere. Also, some might want a drink in the evening so super early set-offs might be a problem (Big Rat)!!
  19. I agree with this, see no reason why anyone cannot attend, the more the merrier as far as I am concerned. Do you think its worth this topic being in the general LOC meets forum?
  20. Nothing says I've given up on life quite like a matching colour Lexus cap!!!! (know what im getting for my birthday!!)
  21. I have purchased mine recently and couldn't be more pleased with it. Honestly does everything very well. As said above, your spoilt for choice at the moment so don't jump into anything. I've been getting around 250 miles out of £70 of fuel and my daughter and wife fit in fine. Engine is super strong, particularly once you get going and gearbox is genuinely impressive, particularly in manual mode. Dont get silver though...or red!!
  22. I read that and thought it said midgets!!!
  23. Does your route take you past Carlisle? I will be driving up from Edinburgh but could meet at Glasgow? To decide what dates may be best, its probably easier to know what people cant do and work around that. My wife is giving birth at the end of June so probably shouldn't be away then......lol
  24. I had a brera and the 159 estate is a lovely car. Interior is beautiful and they're cheap to buy. Engines are ok also. Dont discount it just because it's an Alfa, they're really not as bad as people think anymore.
