  1. Always used Fuchs Titan in the GTR and was good but heard good things about miller oils also. If the dealer uses shell however then can't go wrong with it
  2. Honda do a colour called pirates black, had an accord type r and it is amazing!!!! Best colour ever. Looks black until the light hits it then ... Shazam!!!!!
  3. I'm in a similar situation to you, though i am doing it in stages over next 6-9 months. Hoping to be at 500bhp ish. Fit HPS intake with AFE panel filter-done Fit H+S cat back system Fit PPE headers Fit race cats in H+S system RR tune with hand commander. I'm expecting it to be around £3.5k in total but may fit headers myself Would like to supercharge next year but depends if the wife wants a conservatory. To be honest, it's all about the noise for me, it's the sole reason i was in the market for a V8 in the 1st place Marcus
  4. Agreed, a detailers idea of good paint will be completely different to 99% of the population. Also, as said above, without a full strip down it's really hard to do a colour change properly. You would end up with a black engine bay and stuff. A wrap sounds like a good idea if the paint does bother you. You can literally have any colour you want and it tends to be cheaper. May be worth considering a clear wrap to protect paint work.
  5. I wonder if they do a more 'blingy' version???
  6. That went off topic quickly. I'm actually one of the ones that comes on here for the crack rather than technical information about the ISF so couldn't care less about going off on a tangent. I've never met any of you but still see some of you as familiar voices in my daily life...... Think i have something in my eye, cough cough!! Marcus
  7. Wow, i didn't even know that board existed, congratulations......I think!! Would be interesting to know how much ISF chat is actually ISF related?
  8. It doesn't take much to set off the anti collision system, beeps at me occasionally when overtaking and such like. It does startle you first time you here it though.
  9. I must admit that 3rd and 4th gears are my favourite, particularly when driven hard. Into 4th however is 100+ really so can't be doing it all the time
  10. Sounds like the intro to a joke..... Notice no mention of RAF guys turning up either, probably just booked a hotel or were too busy young up their sun tans
  11. I have the HPS intake hose and can confirm that it's a very good, high quality part worthy of any ISF engine bay. If your in the market for an intake, and wish to retain the factory air box in my opinion is as good as it gets
  12. Thick hole digger?? I'm sure you have heard worse. We've done or bit to serve our country, we should be proud of that! Ha
  13. As a 10yr submariner, i take offence to bring called a rear admiral! Lol
  14. I've been looking into this, got quoted the same £895 for one year and they will give me another for year for free. You can get a full 2 years even if your car is 9yrs 11 months old on the day you take out the policy
  15. What is the top speed of a silver one.....150-155???
  16. That's ridiculous!!! I've broke a couple of cars in last few years and you need to price parts according to the market, not whichever way you want. We all wish we could make millions out of every part but you have to be realistic. Now, if he had said £1000 then I'd maybe try beating him up on price to get a sale
  17. Where do you find all these pictures!?!?!?!?!?
  18. Maybe it was a silver ISF
  19. So rather than buy headers with Cats, fit cats in an after market system. Doesn't a cat work more effectively near the heads as temperature is required??
  20. Agreed, in my household there are electrical, mechanical and 'ruined by my modification' faults. 99% of brilliant cars i have owned have been ruined by going to far playing with them. Not saying that's what you have done.....😀
  21. Guys, after much searching I'm struggling to find a definitive answer regarding whether headers can be sought with Cats or are they all without. I'm looking to change exhaust system also and am leaning towards H+S as they are UK based and have chatted to them regarding my requirements. PPE and Sikky both state they remove the cat but also state cats can be fitted. No mention of how to source the headers though. Will I have to buy and get the TIG welder out to modify myself? I know H+S systems are used by a few on here, I've looked at Borla and JoeZ also, have missed any good ones? Appreciate that the search function is there but it's sometimes easy to get confused by some of the threads Marcus
  22. You can have sports mode selected and still switch off traction control. When I'm out for a spirited drive i use sports mode and dont switch it off. I've read that leaving TC on however whilst on track can cause a lot of rear brake wear and heat build up?
  23. What a bunch of thugs....I love it!! The roads they have over there are deserted, I'd end up in prison if UK roads were like that
  24. He's straddling the space anyway, I think it's a bit cheeky actually. Maybe ok at the far end of a car park but that will be near the doo!lol
  25. That or the V12 vantage have got to be my favourite looking car! I really wanted to own a V8 and thought I'll drive all of the usual stuff such as an M3, RS4,C63,XFR. The M3 was the only other one I really enjoyed driving but couldn't get over the image and how common they are. I probably would look at another Skyline GTR or even the new Civic Type R to be honest. Luckily the GSF and RCF are around so I might be able to move to them when the ISF has had it. I just love the engine too much
