  1. It’s probably choking everyone’s!🤣
  2. I currently run Swift springs on the RCF and the ride didn’t change much from OEM. If you’re after a more compliant ride then I can imagine a lower spring rate then factory might suit….
  3. That’s interesting, when I had my RC in for a safety recall I didn’t pay the £15 and got fuel too. Seems it depends on the dealer. My experience of Lexus Newcastle has been the best I have encountered. No problems to report whatsoever. Call me cynical but the only time I’m in any dealership is as current/prospective customer and so am a walking profit margin. As such people will tend to be nice…...
  4. I assume that I could ask my dealer to configure this then next time I’m in for a service. Would love to be able to do it on a warm day!
  5. I remember a 3yr old K11 Micra with rust! You have done very well to keep a Micra rust free. It could also be that even rust is scared of a micra!
  6. Wait, you don’t do that??? 🤣
  7. I was in a Booths in Windermere if I remember correctly, the most middle class place I have ever been! Cracking place, all shops should be more like it. I’d go as far as to say it was a pleasant experience. Shame I’ma few hours away. Wonder if they do home delivery….
  8. I wonder what their fresh produce is like!?!
  9. I may contact them myself and see what they say…. Will let everyone know.
  10. Yea, there is a fan under there but I believe that it is just sucking air from below the seat, up through the cushions. Not sure how a duct would work with a moving seat. I agree that it’s not brilliant
  11. Heated steering wheel is good, though the seats are rubbish! To be honest in not that impressed with the cooling either but I suppose it’s not strictly ‘cooling’ but rather a fan blowing air through the seat. It’s good if you have the A/C on and aiming at your feet, the colder air in the footwells then gets blown through… When buying the car I read that cars with the updated infotainment were able to have CarPlay. I even confirmed this with Lexus Edinburgh. Upon purchasing it from Swindon this turned out not to be the case! I ended up buying a 3rd party box and it’s brilliant….
  12. I do find the taxation via fuel model the cleanest but still feel that it’s not particularly fair. If it’s a percentage of the fuel I purchase, and I purchase more of it then I pay more road tax than my neighbour for doing the same distance. Claiming my car is bad for the environment due to a poor mpg is a weak argument too, if that’s the case then shouldn’t emissions come back into it. What about vehicle weight too as mentioned above??? i guess this is the problem, it’s a complex discussion. I remember learning early on in my career that you can’t please all of the people all of the time….
  13. Certainly seems to make sense to me, I guess the screen shows other car data from the OBD port too?
  14. Nice choice, how are you finding it? I wish mine had the sunroof, only option I couldn’t get…. My car is also a plus pack from 2018, they start getting rare by then. Tried the ventilated seats yet?
  15. Quite right, Honda changed the wheels on my civic FOC only 5-6 years ago, cost something like £4k too!! I don’t even bother asking, so hard to argue that there aren’t chips etc….
  16. Interesting, though no mention of how road tax specifically is used. I’ll have to do some googling. https://www.newcarsonline.co.uk/blog/what-is-road-tax-used-for/#:~:text=Understanding Vehicle Tax&text=So%2C what does VED really, council tax and corporation tax. Motorways and major A-roads seem fine, though I’m only ever exposed to the A1. It’s the local authority that seems to be lacking. I can only imagine this is because there’s no money or it’s being diverted to more ‘important’ projects. As an operations guy, I’d love to have at crack at it, my local council doesn’t seem to be managing well at all….
  17. Seems simple to me. If we decide that car tax stays, everyone pays it…. As far as I’m concerned it comes down to what road tax is supposed to do. I’d understand if my car somehow caused a bigger burden on the road network and supporting infrastructure but it doesn’t. I feel road tax should ring fenced and used for maintenance and capital investment, not as a tool to manipulate the public’s behaviour and encourage policies such as electric cars. I already pay a premium in fuel duty for driving a ‘polluting’ car, why should I get punished twice. As said above, I wouldn’t mind if we had quality roads but they are shocking! I live on the England/Scotland border and it’s terrible everywhere I go…I’d be interested to see financial accounts to understand where the money goes actually. Bet it goes into flowers on roundabouts! Just charge everyone a reasonable, fair and equal amount per year, to use the roads with no one getting off because their car is electric. Notice I said everyone, that includes £10 a year for a bicycle/horse/scooter etc.
  18. Is that how many left or how many sold? @gb1600e what combo are you looking for?
  19. I didn’t know that…. Haven’t seen one without it so assumed it was. My car is a ‘plus’ package car must have come with that along with the ventilated seats and heated steering wheel.
  20. Scandalous!! Wonder why they made that decision rather than standard as on the RC-F. Possibly the marketers decision based upon the competition and price point? Perhaps the system is a bit more complex in the GS-F too…. Still seems tight….
  21. You know, it never occurred to me that the ML system was an option on a GS-F….
  22. Thanks for the update, I assume that your 2016 car is considered ‘At risk’ and therefore eligible for the fix. Did you get notified of it or did you ask??
  23. I don’t necessarily think being into cars means you need to buy a bright colour, I just think that some may be more inclined to do so. I’m also not convinced that buying a bright colour is attention seeking…. As you say, it depends on the car/personality.
