  1. Worked…..I feel daft! Bet it’s in the manual too….
  2. Agree with Linas, too much money. I’ll pay less for that for UHP tyres for the RCF! Now you know what they are offering, just get them cheaper elsewhere, such as mytyres or Camskill. That’s what I do and never regret it. Decide what tyre I want and just get it as cheap as possible from the internet.
  3. Wow, I so hope this is works for me!! I’ll let you know thanks
  4. I struggle a bit with the ACC in the RCF. When on the motorway I want to be able to set a speed and filter through traffic without necessarily having to slow down. Even on the shortest range it’s a bit too eager to slow down. Shame you can’t switch off the adaptive bit really. i do use it but needs to be little traffic for me to enjoy it. Eco is brilliant, use it all time!
  5. that is impressive, I can manage 33-34mpg on the motorway at 70-75mph. Out of interest what do you think your average speed was? How do you find eco mode?
  6. Newcastle have told me my car is in the recall and Ive not had a letter yet, so I'm sure they will turn up eventually.
  7. First time it went in there were no codes but I have disconnected battery a week earlier so may have cleared then. Second time there was one stored that indicated a passenger front fault.
  8. Just out of interest, I wonder what the AA do if you run out of electricity? Tow to the nearest charger? To be honest, not sure they carry fuel to help ICE cars either. Can imagine some H+S policy stopping them carrying flammable liquids or something!
  9. I’m not sure it was sold as the ‘Fuji’ in the UK market. All the literature I’ve see in the UK dealerships calls it a ‘track’ car.
  10. Usually get around 22-23mpg per tank but around 19mpg at the moment. It’s pretty much all country roads, 10 miles each way. Ive attributed the drop to defrosting the car and the longer time it takes to warm up.
  11. I think OEM tyres that Lexus fit are Michelin Supersports. I would echo the above and keep the axle the same.
  12. If the LC500 system is anything like the RCF then it’s probably designed to stop you straying out of your lane, rather than proactively keep you in the middle of it. Certainly wouldn’t trust it with my hands off the wheel. My last FK8 Type R actually had a really good system. I like to think of the systems as either proactive or reactive and the Lexus system is the latter.
  13. Wow, suppose this is what standard units of measurement are designed for. You’re a more intelligent man than I! This thread has gone off track a tad! Haha
  14. Just to throw a cat amongst the pigeons it seems my V5 says 341kW and 258 G/KM! Not sure I trust the DVLA numbers mind you but I don't seem to have good power or emissions. Found this link. As a plus pack RCF everything about this article suggests it is the euro6d engine and as such will be 457bhp......must have a hunt for this GPF they are talking about. https://mag.lexus.co.uk/2018-lexus-rc-rc-f-upgrades/
  15. Getting in contact as a group and signing the letter as such. If everyone in the UK suffering with the issue signed a group letter it may get some attention. Much harder to claim that a single person did something incorrectly if a whole group have the same symptoms. How many people on here are currently seeing this problem? Any RCF owners seeing the same?
  16. The tax is what it is, I’m actually more interested in the rated power output of the car and whether it’s one of the later, less powerful ones. It’s only around 20bhp but gives me another reason to get a new mid pipe if that’s the case!
  17. So having had a good look at my exhaust (as a result of this thread) is there any conclusive way of knowing at what point Lexus started fitting the GPFs to the GSF/RCF? My car is a May 18 car so get cheaper tax but having looked at the exhaust I cant see anything. Similarly, as a late pre-face lift car it has the 'Plus pack' including heated steering wheel and the larger infotainment screen. Feels like with so few cars registered in the UK each year and the manufacturing date perhaps being different to registration, that there a few combinations of cars knocking about. Maybe not as simple as "it was sold in 2018 so it's GPF car"
  18. Ive got Pirelli Scorpion Verde all season tyres on the wife's car and have been very impressed with them. In the recent cold snap my street ended up being compacted snow on a light hill. Car didn't bat an eyelid and even struggled to loose grip when I give it a little beans to get the rear end out. I get the 'All seasons are a compromise' argument but in reality when every day driving on 4x4s they are brilliant for our conditions. I live in southern Scotland. For what its worth, my car was stuck on the drive at the same time and has Michelin Pilot Supersports fitted.
  19. I’m only 15mins from the A1 in between Edinburgh and Berwick so am up for it! Know a couple of alternative routes in my area that are a bit more scenic and blast worthy.
  20. This is good news!! Not something I considered when buying mine but a pleasant positive. If only fuel was £0.80!
  21. No, just the wife and her friends. Suppose you could call that a form of taxi service. Tends to be in my best interests however.
  22. In my experience as mentioned above it depends on your height. I’m 6’3” so I’ve got to put the seat forward to transport 4 people. Luckily this is rare and it’s drunk women in the back so don’t mind. Three is fine, just put the passenger seat forward. One thing to consider is if the seats are electric they take ages to move forward when you pull the lever and it can be hard to reach too.
  23. Steering wheel is better than the heated seats! Is the gearing different on the later cars? It’s also worth considering you get other things such as AVS and a bigger navigation screen along with a newer car that will possibly have less wear and tear.
  24. I’ve still got supersports on the RCF but will try something else next time around. Have used PS4S and thought they work quick. Best experience on Type R was Goodyear Eagle F1 Assy5. Might actually try them next time around. ISF has Assy3 which were good too
  25. Fuel is getting cheaper, just go wild. Its the tyres that kill me!
