  1. We had a call from the dealer today. Our second key and WHEEL NUTS are available and will be fitted next Tuesday!
  2. The wheels shown on AutoTrader are the 20 inch style. The roof options on the LC were a carbon roof on the Sport Plus and a glass roof on the other models. I have a "basic" model LC and find the glass roof very nice in the summer to lighten the cabin and the smaller wheels are very easy to clean and repair if you kerb them (unlike the shiny 21 inchers). Will you notice any difference driving on the road between models? Well I have driven all types and there is no noticeable variation. If you track it then maybe.
  3. We got our NX350h towards the end of July 23 and we have been told today by the dealer that they have ordered our second key. However, no letter directly from Lexus yet. Wheel nuts? No idea.
  4. The NX350h is quite a bit faster than our previous NX300h and is totally adequate in performance for all normal road situations - including overtaking on A roads. As noted above it is not a sports car (but I do have an LC500). 😀
  5. Not a Ferrari but I had an Aston DB9 for 12 years and the annual service cost was always about £1.2K. It always seemed fragile to me so the much lower cost to service the LC500 combined with its vastly better build quality was a breath of fresh air for me. On tyres, the Aston sized Michelin Pilot SS were about £300 each. Would I have a Ferrrari? No. The main problem I can see is that (apart from the impracticality) you can't leave it anywhere for fear of jealous damage.
  6. The NX350h is much better than the previous model. We typically got 35mpg average out of the NX300h but get about 44mpg average out of the NX350h on the same usage pattern.
  7. This Malcolm would echo the post above from "Harrier Man". Very occasionally we get odd messages but almost all the time we can see all journeys on the App and all the remote functions seem to work. We see 10 minutes max on pre-heating but this may be due to our car being a 350 and not a 450. Our only gripe is the overriding of the in car climate settings by the App control (i.e. you have to reselect Auto A/C when you get back in the car.)
  8. We have found that the Remote Climate causes your in car climate settings to be overriden by the remote command and you have to reset them to your desired setup afterwards. Possibly unrelated but today we got "cannot load profile" for the first time in ages. Who knows?
  9. If you are thinking of an NX350h, this has a totally different software arrangement than previous models which should stop CANBUS attacks. As a sort of proof, our insurance company gave us a refund of premium after we changed from the previous NX300h. BTW, I should have thought with the new percentage sales of ZEVs required in 2024 and Toyota not having many to offer, they would be trying to shift as many ICE or hybrids as they can now and then stop marketing them next year to improve their overall EV percentage.
  10. I was very surprised the other morning when, after scraping the ice off the windows, I was able to move our NX350h across the drive using EV mode only. Our previous NX300h would have certainly started the engine doing this manoeuvre after dropping out of EV of its own accord.
  11. I have several of the issues mentioned in this thread as my LC has very long doors and I can't get out in a "normal" parking space next to other cars. I also drive round looking for a wider space or one where someone cannot block my driver's door. This is a problem with all the 2 door coupes that I have owned (Aston DB9, Merc CL500 etc.) I saw one interesting comment in another forum about reserved wide spaces in car parks to the effect that they do not need to be near the doors of the supermarket etc. as, once you have got your wheelchair or pushchair out of the car and loaded your passenger up, you are then fully ambulant and can travel a bit further to the shops. It also said that only people with physical disabilities requiring wheelchair use should be allowed to use Blue Badge spaces and not the "not all disabilities are visible" brigade.
  12. Are they stealing the cars to get spares which cannot be got from Japan? Maybe they are being stolen to get replacement bumpers for those damaged during an unsuccessful theft. 🙂
  13. Although not directly related to these issues. does anyone know if the fuel capacity for the NX450h is the same as for the NX350h? I had my attention drawn to this possibility by a colleague who changed to a hybrid 5 Series BMW from a Diesel one. The fuel capacity was about 2/3rds of the Diesel.
  14. We have been very impressed with the ride quality on our NX350h Premium Plus Pack which has the 20inch run-flats. It is smoother than our previous NX300h Takumi which had the 18inch conventional tyres. Having said that, our Aston DB9 had run-flat Bridgestone Potenzas as standard and they were very harsh. Changing to Michelin PSS was a revelation.
  15. I just cannot understand why no instructions exist. This is a silly omission. They could have written this app overriding in car settings business into these. Just to clarify my previous post, we reset the "open doors on shift to park" by going into the car setup menu and toggling the relevant setting off/on.
  16. We had occasion to use the remote climate app function today and we noted something which might be of use to other owners. We always have the climate control in the car set to Auto with the Concierge set "on" to automatically heat the seats and steering wheel. We used the app to select front and rear defrost but without the seat/wheel heating options. The car responded as required and was ready to go in 10 minutes with clear screens. However, the automatic settings on the car had been overwritten by the app just like if you were sitting in the car and had selected the de-icers manually. In order to get back to the automatic seat heating etc, we had to cycle the Auto button on and off in the car. This seems to restore the previous settings. Is there an app operating manual which gives full details of how it all works? We have noticed a similar overriding functionality of the app before as using the remote lock/unlock function resets our preferred manually set "unlock on Park button" to speed sensitive unlocking which allows door opening while waiting in traffic (not preferred).
  17. Have you locked or unlocked the car using the remote on the Lexus Link App? We tried this on our NX350h - just to see if it worked - and we noticed it changed the in-car setting of the door locking which we changed back manually to the same settings which you use. Why it did this we never discovered.
  18. Just one of the reasons why we went for the Premium Plus and not the Takumi NX350h. Things I don't need: - Self parking - Rear view camera - LCA - Much higher price...
  19. I got Sonic Red outside with black inside on my LC500. I( would have preferred a cream leather interior with the red but you couldn't get this even on the "halo" of the Lexus range. BTW, I agree that the LC500 forum is a bit boring but, as noted by others, there isn't much to moan about.
  20. We have had this once on our NX350h in our 4 months of ownership. I went out to check for insects etc. on the sensors and found one of the rear doors very slightly open. We just put it down to the door being on the edge of the locking mechanism and it had "popped" as the car cooled down a few hours later. It has never happened again.
  21. When the cameras are displayed on the big screen there is an icon bar on the right. One of the icons switches on the automatic function.
  22. A bump up for this. Still available. I will accept reasonable offers for these wheels and tyres. PM me if interested.
  23. Yes, we have this too. NX350h MY24.
  24. One difference we have found between the NX300h and the NX350h regarding the smart keys is that the range of the new types seems less than the old model. Whether this is due to the key itself or the receivers in the car is unclear. For example, if my other half leaves the key (we only have one!) in her handbag and puts the bag in the rear footwell we often get "key not detected" on the dash. Putting the bag on the rear seat seems fine.
  25. Our NX350h was delivered on 28th July with just one (and a half) keys. We have no idea when the second one will be arriving. This is very annoying if you want to pick up the car when your other half has dropped it off somewhere.
