Did you tell your insurer of your new address? This is more likely to cause them to query a claim as it materially affects risk. Your licence being wrong is a technical offence.

Agree with everything Goodplan53 has said. The Takumi spec has some features that we didn't want either and the PP+ with Pano roof is the optimum value point.

We had a NX300h Takumi for 4 years and then changed to a NX350h Premium Plus + pano roof which we have had for 16 months so far. The 350 is quite a bit faster in acceleration than the 300 and this makes the car a lot better to drive. Overall, we have found almost all aspects of the 350 to be improved over the previous model. In particular, for the same usage pattern, we are getting 44mpg versus about 35mpg for the 300h. We would definitely suggest that you consider the newer models if you intend keeping the car for a longer haul.

I have not experienced anything like you report. I note you have the Sport+. Could it be spoiler related?

I have my LC500 on a trickle charger when I am not going to use it for more than a few days. I connect via croc clips to the jump start point in the fuse box under the bonnet (+ve) and the engine block (-ve). I generally close the bonnet down onto a pillow resting on the engine so that the gas struts are compressed (their normal state). This seems to work very well and I still have the original battery fitted to the car. The charger charges at 2.5A until the voltage reaches 14.7V holds it at that voltage until the current falls to 250mA and then switches to maintenance mode at 13.8V for the long term.

Interesting. I have always been very satisfied with my dealings with Hedge End but they appear to have had a few changes of personnel recently which may reflect on your experience. They did say to me when I took our NX350h for service at the end of July did I want it serviced on a "while you wait" basis or a loan car. I didn't think to ask if these were exclusive options.

I don't know where you obtained your LC500 but, without being too negative, the most obvious reason for this lack of keys would be theft of the vehicle. Have you checked out the history of your car, for example, service records?

My LC500 was registered in Feb 2018. It was supplied with two modern style keys with no panic button. These are not the latest wideband security type but look just like them. I assume that the inside works are different on the later secure keys.

Tongue firmly in cheek but are you really thinking of organising a drive/meet for high performance cars in a country with a blanket 20mph limit? Seriously, it's too far for me from the South Coast but best of luck with this. P.S. I have seen a few LC500s on the road in my area but none recently.

We took our NX350h in for service on the 25th July and I took the opportunity to ask about my LC. I had the same response as you - "nothing yet". Fortunately, my LC is kept in a garage so, even if they offered a tracker, I probably wouldn't go for it. A CANBUS encryption fix is the only way really.
